After shopping around and getting a few quotes, we realized that the same carpet is going to cost roughly the same amount at any place you go. As for pricing, one place isn't going to be much better than the next, so it comes down to how good the contractor is who does the installation. The carpet is what it is, but how it is installed can make all the difference. We finally decided on BFC because they gave us solid dates for installation and a solid guarantee that we would be satisfied with how the work was done. In the end, we were quite happy with the installation. Our complicated staricase looked fine (that was our biggest concern) and the worker did a nice job of cleaning up after he was done - a two day job. What I can't believe is that this guy did the entire job by himself(!?!?). I wasn't home, so I didn't see how he hauled those giant rolls of carpet up a flight of stairs, and hauled the old stuff down...all by himself! It's been about a month since the installation and so far, it's all holdling together and looks great.

Service Master was assigned to the insurance claim & they recommended using World Floor Coverings, to replace the floors. My husband & I went to the showroom for World Floor Coverings & met with Mike the owner & Lauren the interior designer. Mike was fantastic to deal with, Service Master sent him over the measurements of our flooring. Mike asked us questions of what type of flooring we were looking, are usage, lifestyle, etc.. Mike was fantastic at answering all of our questions & making suggestions. Mike then introduced us to Lauren the interior designer. She was great. We had brought in a sample of the old flooring & pictures of our home. Lauren helped us figured out, what type of flooring would be best for our family & look amazing in our home. Lauren was also great at asking us questions & answering all of our questions too. On the day of install, Val installed the flooring. Val does beautiful work. His work was very clean, neat & professional. He did a fantastic job. He's a true professional. My husband & I absolutely love our new floors. We are so happy, with our choice. When we go to finish our basement, we will for sure be using WFC for the floors. Oh and the new floors, are dog approved by Jake & Marley. Thank-You to the team at World Floor Coverings!

My initial experience--purchasing kitchen flooring--was fine, which gave me the confidence to return for additional flooring for my living room. That was a mistake. I received a quote for the flooring and asked for a quote on installation. Cody said he'd get back to me but never did. I waited over a month, then called and texted just to get the name of the flooring so I could move forward with my renovation--which has now been delayed for months. I never received any response. No return call. No text. Nothing. This level of disregard for a paying customer is completely unacceptable. It shows a serious lack of professionalism and customer care. Once the sale was made, it became clear that follow-up and service were not a priority. I regret spending my money here and would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.

After a referral from a friend, I contacted AB Countertops to purchase a bathroom vanity countertop and a small piece for the top of a shower curb. (and mount a sink I provided under the counter). I was asked for the measurements (which I thought strange as there can be all kinds of things custom to each install - i.,e. wall corners not 90 degrees, etc.) While the timelines discussed seemed a bit slow, I realize that ours was just one countertop as opposed to a whole house job. After a call from the salesperson that the countertop was ready, I went to the shop facility to pick up. (no info as to who to see on site) after finally finding someone, they said it will be a few minutes. Then, I could see a worker gluing the sink to the counter (so it was hardly ready to pick up). When this was done, I took the unit home. The sink was poorly attached to the counter - I had to silicone some gaps and was worried that it may fall off when installed on the vanity. Visually, it is acceptable. The shower curb top: I made the measurements my self, and messed up and measured 2" to narrow. Fine, my fault. I tried to contact the salesperson I dealt with 12+ times via email, text and received only one response - that they were busy due to illness; nothing after that. If you don't want to or can't do the work, just tell me, but to not even reply is rude! I finally got a small piece from another granite company, and would recommend them. Stay away from AB Countertops is my advice.

Mariah the sales rep was awesome with helping me with options and staying within my budget. She also answered all questions quickly over the phone or emails. Happy with the carpet and planks I picked. Price was a bit better than quotes from 2 other places Cons:. Scheduling issues. Booked a month in advance and booked a day off. Day of I get a call that they are behind on another job and would like to reschedule, it wasn't an option for me since hard enough to book days off and I waited a month. So they managed to have the carpet installers come past working hours after 5pm, while Matt did the vinyl plank installations on schedule. This led to the carpet installers rushing to get the job done, so a few days later I nearly stepped on some exposed nails on the stairs where the carpet was installed. Had to go thru each step and hammer them all back in (about 5 steps in total). Don't even want to think what would have happened if I had stepped on them directly instead of brushing one with my heel. They should have inspected everything once done. There were also some parts of my newly painted walls damaged with some dings and scratches. Luckily I still had some left over paint to fix it up. So my overall rating is 3.5 stars. As the beginning process started off well when I first went into the store to talk to Mariah and see some choices. Unfortunately it was the last part of things that bring the ratings down.

Considering our emails and phone calls are not being answered, let's see if through social media we…read morewill GET OUR MONEY BACK AFTER THIS COMPANY CANCELLED ON THE SAME DAY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO START. No joke. See photos attached as proof. My husband and I have been in touch with this company since April when we started to renovate our house. Nick came over and gave us a quote. We did not complain and we did not ask for a discount. Basically a ten thousand dollars job. We decided to get painting and new counters first and leave the floor for last. On June 17th we sent our deposit of $4,140 with a promise to start on June 24th. As soon as I got our contract back I noticed the date changed to July 22nd. Without complaining and being patient I agreed with the new date. Full customer service was given to us until that point. And based on reviews we suspected nothing. Apparently they were supposed to "drop off supplies" at our house on that same week in June, which never happened. On July 16th I got an email asking if we were good to start on the 25th or on the 29th. Hello? Wasn't it supposed to be on the 22nd?! Again, without complaining, I answered the email right away saying that it didn't matter which date as long as it was done before August 13th as we are leaving the country on holidays. I got no answers from emails OR phone calls for the next four days. If you ever got your floors done you do know you have to take everything off the floor so it is something it has to be planned and not just overnight. So on July 20th I get an answer back, which honestly, I couldn't understand much what was written in the email other that AGAIN they were willing to change the dates for when we got back from holidays. It started to sound too shady for me at this point. For the next two days AGAIN I wrote, I called and left multiple voice messages and no answer back. On July 22nd I called in the morning and as soon as the officer manager Rosemarie heard it was me she said "I will get Nick to call you" and HUNG UP ON ME. I called 5 times after that and no answer once again. So I've had enough. Right after this happened I wrote them an email cancelling the job and asking for my money back. On that same day, in the afternoon, Rosemarie called my husband. He explained to her I was upset because it is a lot of money and a lot of questions to be answered and they were giving us zero attention. By the end of it we sucked it up and made the plans of Nick coming to start the job on Monday, July 29th, at 8am. We decided not to bother them again. Plans were made and we spent all weekend moving out furniture from the 3rd floor. Monday came and I had just woken up to get ready and wait for Nick when I get an email at 7.15am CANCELLING ON ME DUE TO MY RUDE EMAIL EHICH WAS SENT LONG BEFORE MY HUSBAND AND ROSEMARIE ARRANGED THE JULY 29th DATE. On that same email there was a promise that our despite would be sent back by the end of that week. Friday came and no money was sent. My husband called Rosemarie Friday morning and as son as he said "this is Marcelo" she HUNG UP ON HIM. On Saturday, August 3rd, Nick wrote us saying he did not forget about our money and, as you can see in the email, he PROMISED we would get our money half Tuesday and half Wednesday (Monday was the heritage holiday in Edmonton). Tuesday came and after much trouble we got half of it. Well, we are now on Friday and once again our emails and calls are not being answered and we still didn't get our other half back. Since the beginning of my renovations I have dealt with all kinds of traders. Plumbers, painters, electrician, cleaners, the guys who installed my kitchen counter and the guys who installed my backsplash. None of them cost even half of what my floors would have cost and the customer service we got was exceptional. And now we have this kind of treatment from this Sharper Images. We have been patient. We have been more than nice after you cancelling on us on the day of. Now, the question is, should I file a police report and go talk to better business bureau or are you guys going to GET BACK TO US AND GIVE OUT MONEY BACK?? Horrible company. Horrible experience I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy!
