Called last Thursdays the 30th for a service call. No call by sat so I went on Yelp put a request to power electric. Got an immediate response and Jesse came out Tuesday and replaced my outlet. Mid morning on Tuesday I finally got a call back from Action electric . I told them they were no longer needed another company responded fast and did the work before they even called me back. Action electric is definitely not a company interested in fast service. I would not have even looked somewhere else if I got a call back within a day. read more

Timely, fair priced, helpful, confirmed and helped troubleshoot any issues prior to leaving.

Want to express my complete satisfaction to your staff electrician, Joe Dyer. He was very methodical prior to beginning the project & he included me in that process. He had the task of moving the Ring Security Camera, Rewiring exterior garage lights & installing a timer switch. Joe is very relatable & performed an excellent job. People like Joe is why I continue to call on Action Electric for service. Well done! read more

First the good : The electrician showed up on time to estimate installing three outlets for TV and wall fireplace. Btw: I was recommended to Action by Capo Fireside. The bad? The cost was 3x higher than brightlife who I have used before for other work. $2000 for three easy wall outlets? Huh? Total ripoff. read more

Tony with Action came out to my home to install a motion light and add an outlet outside for my patio. He was very professional and polite. He cleaned up everything and left it looking better than before. He has previously come out to my home to install a sub panel which is easily my favorite electrical upgrade. Makes plugging my RV in a breeze! I highly recommend Action Electic! read more

Action Electric - Action Electric Van - Electricians Near Me - Reno, Nevada

We had a nuisance bug hanging around one of our light poles. In an hour it was gone. Excellent electrician.

Scheduled to replace canned lights with wiring for chandeliers. The receptionist sent 2 guys, one was doing work and teaching another guy who was watching. I got charged for 2 electricians working 2 hours each, 4 hours in total. The manager reduced the charge to 2 hours, but it was probably 1.5 hours if the main guy was teaching while he was working. Receptionist had audacity to argue with me on the charges. read more

Our dimmer switch stopped working in our kitchen in the house we rent. We called the landlords and Karina from Action Electric called me this morning and left a message. When I called back she said it would probably be tomorrow before a technician could be out. She called back in fifteen minutes and said she had someone that could be here today and Anthony would call me to schedule and told me the number he'd call from. He called minutes later verifying the problem and type of switch we had and said he'd be here within a half hour. He and another young man (sorry forgot his name!) came and were friendly and had masks on, I appreciated that and also wore my mask. I showed them the switch and within 15 minutes they were done and the lights work perfect again! Happy with the professionalism and turn around time! read more

Three straps that secured my weather pole to the NV Energy's pole broke loose causing the weather pole to sway in the strong winds loosening one of the power wires resulting in a partial loss of power. NV Energy reattached the wire but not the straps. I called Action Energy and they came out and gave me an estimate and said they would have to co-ordinate with NV Energy to shut off the power while they secured the straps. The next day Rachel from Action Energy called and said that NV Energy was responsible for the work and had put in a work request. One week goes by with no word from NV Energy and Rachel called to see if the work had been done. When informed that it had not she recontacted NV Energy and the next day they were out and the work was done at no charge to me. Rachel went above and beyond by making sure that the work got done even though it was no longer her companies responsibility. That's customer service! Thank you Rachel and Action Electric. read more

Such a relief to get somebody who knew exactly what he was doing! He fixed what 4 previous electricians could not figure out. Thank you! I will use this company from now on read more

Now that I have several months to cool off from their horrible, overpriced, barely ethical service, I can safely say that you should watch these guys (and their billing practices) like a hawk. They seem to not hear specific instructions and then, when the job is done, hand you a bill that is clearly a rip-off. I guess their actual work is fine, that is, if you don't mind paying double what it's worth. read more

I was given a quote from Adam, he said the job would take two to three days with two workers for $5,926.17. The actual job took one worker just over eight hours but still cost $5,926.17. I feel Adam misrepresented the work that needed to be done. read more

Action Electric has worked on my houses in SJV for more than a decade. Everything from ceiling fans, pressure pumps etc. superb company.

Well I was hoping the experience I had wouldn't come to this but unfortunately it has. When you get good service you expect repeated results when choosing to be loyal to a company. This didn't happen and it was unfortunate due to me needing to now find another company to complete this project. Here's the elevator version of what happened. I have this company come out, the work begins, but not after going to his can 4 times before starting the work. This becomes normal throughout the process. To make it even better, the electrician leaves to go buy supplies for just over an hour and returns. They charged me for this hour of "work". Then he returns with the pieces and during the install he ruins a drill bit. Leaves to his truck and brings back another drill bit. There were at least 5 trips he had to make to his truck, talk about not having your stuff together. We were about to have him do the next part of our project but realized the amount of time he was taking would not get any better. To encourage him to leave, I suggested maybe holding off until another time. It's so unfortunate to have good service one time and terrible service the next. read more

Outstanding customer service and followup. Amanda answered my call right away and was professional yet very welcoming. Sincerely interested in helping with my concern. I appreciated being put on a standby list as they were pretty busy the day I called. Everyone I spoke with was wonderful and committed to excellent service. Meeting them was a an amazing experience. Thank you. read more

Great service from the staff at Action Electric. The technician was early and what should have been a simple job evolved into a two hour project due to the design of the house. Will use them again. read more

Thank you Scott and Travis for doing such a fabulous job installing the kitchen and dining room lighting fixtures in our new home. You exceeded our highest expetations installing the fixtures, doing all the electrical work, your knowledge, professionalism, attention to details, was exceptional. I also have to add that it was so much fun too! I am very grateful Action Electric was recommended to us, and for the wonderful job you did on a couple other projects we had done in the past couple of months. I am absolutely thrilled and will recommend you and Action Electric to everyone. You certainly "brightened" up our home. Warmest regards, Julie and Stephen read more

A local electrician, who was too busy to help us, recommended Action. We could not have been more pleased with their work. Mike was on time, courteous and offered suggestions when we asked for them. He worked 2 full days on our electrical needs. The price was very reasonable and we have them booked for additional work. We highly recommend them. read more

First time they were fine. Second time a year later they were a disaster. Scheduled to be here at 12 noon, at 1 pm when they had not called I called them. Robin apologized and said they would be there in 15 minutes. Two guys arrived at 1:30, finished and were gone by 2 pm. The bill came several days later for 1.5 hours for 2 people. I called and spoke with the owner, Randy who said he would look into it and call me back. I've never heard back from him. read more

Thanks You all read more

Mike told us 11:30 and he was there at 11:15 ready to go! We previously had a quote not disclosed to Mike and his price came in half of the other guys. He was very polite and was not like the 'car salesman' attitude we have encountered many times before. Very smart guy and right to the point. Thanks Mike! read more

I am excited to put this review here regarding Action Electric! I wanted to replace the old lights on each side of my garage with motion sensors and my side yard light went out over 3 years ago. I've been using a flashlight to let my little dogs out there at night, I was so over that. My sister used Action Electric for all her light replacement needs and some other electrical issues that needed attention. She loved them, and so do I! Corina was so nice and helped me schedule an appointment. Marco arrived on time and was so friendly and knowledgeable, he really knew his stuff! He not only installed 4 new motion sensor lights around my home but also repaired some outlets inside too. He was awesome and professional, and I am so happy with the results! If you need any kind of electrical work done, call Action Electric! You won't be disappointed read more

These guys are great. We chose them a decade ago when we were remodeling the old city hall to become a children's museum and I've used them multiple times since on my personal residence. Near as I can tell the exact same people are there, and from my experience the work is always quality work. They aren't cheap but for most things it seems well worth the price. For perspective, in our house we've had them install new can lights, new pendent lights, transformers for LED lights, changed one gang outlets to two or three gang outlets, move switches, run new circuits, install an outdoor light, and more. I would be comfortable just leaving the home while they are there alone, and have several times, with total confidence in their honesty and integrity. read more

This is probably the worst Electrical firm I have ever hired. So bad that I just set up this YELP to write a review. They sent out an new electrician to fix an outlet in my kitchen. Two hours later he called in reinforcements to assist. The more senior electrician found the issue and fixed it within 15 minutes with a .39 cent part. The next day my air conditioning unit stopped working. Another service call to fix the unit. It was on the same breaker that was just repaired the previous day. Received a bill from Action for $160.39 and another bill for $70.00 for the air conditioner. Called the owner to assist with the reducing the $160 service call incurred by an an inexperienced staff member and he refused. Pathetic customer service! Will never use the again and will discourage anyone asking for a referral to not hire Action! read more

My employer uses Action for our large business and when I discovered that half the outlets in my new house didn't work I figured I would try them out. They were great. The guy was clean cut and friendly. He was very thorough, completely explained the problem and fixed it. I would and will use them again for my personal home. read more

Quality work done right at a fair price. Nobody better in town hands down! From H&M, Pink, Forever 21 Whitney Peak and lighting additions in all my bedrooms, there isn't anything these guys can't do! I'm not going to mention names, but from what I can tell these guys definitely know what they are doing. It's amazing not having a floor lamp in my bedroom anymore! Beautiful can lights and a ceiling fan now, all done in less than a day and a far cry from what I expected to pay! Great job! read more

I have been so disappointed in contractors and handymen that I had almost given up. Action electric was here for three days taking care of all my problems. Courteous, professional, respectful and exceptionel at what they did. For 2 days Randy the owner was here accomodating my every need. The last day his son and another worker finished the job. They were equally as fantastic. This company is a great addition for this community. You can rest assured whaqtever they do will be done perfectly. read more

I had a new stove/oven delivered to my rental property. When it was installed(plugged in) the installers told the renters there was a problem with either the wall plug or the breaker and that they would need an electrician. I called Action Electric Inc.. They were able to get out there within a few hours. I later received a call from Mike, the service tech, that he checked the breaker switch and it was not switched on completely. It had two switches on it and only one was switched on. He turned the other switch on and was on his way. Easy fix right? I got an invoice a few days later for $75.00. I called them immediately and asked if that was an appropriate charge since all he had to do was turn the switch on and the receptionist said that was the standard service call charge. When I explained to her that all he did was turn on a switch she said I would have to speak to the owner. I left a message for him, but NO CALL BACK! I would expect to pay something for a tech to drive out to survey the problem but $75.00???? Bad business decision as far as I'm concerned. If that was my business and all my tech had to do was flip a switch to fix the issue, the charge for that would have been ZERO! I'm sure there a good company but not even a call back to discuss the issue is very unprofessional and BAD FORM!. read more
