My pressure regulator valve (PRV) blew out, damaging the pre-filter on my new water softener system, so I called a local plumber who lives right here in Timberwood Park. I set an appointment, and it turns out that the local plumber retired and a company from Austin had acquired his business. After their inspection, they quoted $2,200, labor only, to replace the PRV with an "add-on" cost of $800 dollars PLUS for parts. They refused to even quote replacement for my pre-filter, pressuring to sell me a whole house water purifier for $7,670.00 ... I guess it must have been made from pure silver. I called Act Fast, and it was Aaron to the rescue! He replaced the PRV same day, for only $520, parts and labor, then repaired some major plumbing issues while he installed my new, 2-stage pre-filter system. Aaron also replaced a large section of drywall that had been damaged when the PRV blew out the former pre-filter. The entire operation came out under a thousand dollars and now I have a great, reliable, clean, soft water system that works like a dream.
