They opened their first restaurant in Adelaide in 1965 and then opened around Victoria. The original founders separated with one moving to Sydney and opening Pancakes On The Rocks. Since that time, the chain shrunk, revived, and then added to the menu. We came here for a late breakfast or early lunch with our Australian friends, who had fond memories in their youth of this small chain. In fact, one mentioned getting kicked out of a location many years ago. Fortunately for her, the statute of limitations has run out and there is no "banned" list in existence. :) Among the crowded dining room, we managed to snag a nice big booth, and settled in.
