After I placed the hardware order he arranged for the vehicle's work to be done and returned it to me with a roughly 125 horsepower gain. We took this car from 0-60 in ~3.4 to 0-60 in ~2.8-2.9. Icing on the cake, post product support. Just got a text from him asking how the vehicle is performing. Above and beyond what is necessary! He had an assortment of Land Rovers and Aston Martin he was working on when I was onsite which is always good to see. He makes his money from labor and his labor charge is VERY VERY reasonable. I asked him once why he doesn't upcharge and he answered, "I have been a mechanic for many many years for other people and have seen how they treat people. I wanted to open my own shop to help people feel safe and comfortable in their cars! I love the work and helping people fix their vehicles!" He was serious and he proves that to me time and time again with the repairs he does on my cars. He keeps all parts he takes off to show you He buys his parts as at cost through a distributor and does not up charge. If the best is $22 that's what he charges you. He will hardly ever say no to you He is more than willing to examine and 'take a quick look and listen' as a curtosy He was once repairing the button to close the side door of my van, he opened up the other side and noticed that one was looking a little frayed so just fixed it to save me the hassle later but didn't let it affect the labor time. I cannot day enough good about him. His is TRUSTWORTHY AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE which in my opinion are the TWO MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU WANT IN A MECHANIC! He has me as a customer for life and he knows that. I bring my cars to him for oil changes, even though I can do them myself because I want him to have the business. Nuff said.

The owner didn't mention ay additional charges. When I went to the shop , the owner told me I need to pay additional $40 dollars for oil recycling which is not mentioned on the groupon website. I told him I can accept the charge and I need the receipt with the $40 additional charge to follow up with groupon about it. The owner said I am not interested in the deal anymore and asked me to leave and get a refund from groupon. I also noticed the owner increased the break fluid flush price on groupon from $160 to $240 after I left the shop today. It's a really bad experience for customers that the owner can change his mind and reject the service. Update for owner's review below "a vehicle that is directly not covered in the advertisement" , groupon adversisement doesn't mention any special vehicle price. After the owner told me to charge additional $40, I was confused and later accepted the charge while telling him to get the receipt for reference then I can follow up with groupon. After that, the owner refused to do the service. I guess the owner don't want his practice to be exposed to groupon. The owner could have listed the additional charge on the groupon website in the beginning to let customers be clear about all the cost. They QUICKLY reached back out and quoted me over a $1000 for the job, while Elk Grove Chevy quoted me just over $700. I knew this job entailed dropping the pan and working around the exhaust. Something that is really easy to do once on a lift. All in all...a 1.5 hour job, and that's a BIG stretch. I shared this dealer quote with them, and it was basically shared with me that I should go there (not in a rude way). Well, obviously I did. The moral of the story for me and for others should be, DON'T assume ind. auto mechanics will be cheaper than the dealership. I ALWAYS want to support local business, but I will not support local businesses when they can't do a job at a fair price, and I feel like the trend with specialized labor has been leaning way towards a place it never used to be.
