I have a huge jacaranda. It was growing like crazy and while the purple flowers are beautiful they are also very messy. The tree was hanging over a skylight on my roof, in the way of electrical wires, and a couple of small branches were over a neighbor's roof. I contacted Marvin of Acotillo Tree Service and had him provide a free bid for trimming my jacaranda, lemon tree, and my strawberry tree. The bid was very reasonable and he is extremely knowledgeable. He was able to return with a very large truck and his team very soon after the bid. They were prompt, friendly, did exactly what I needed/wanted, and cleaned up beautifully following. I was very pleased with the work that was done. Marvin is a Grade A pro and artist. He is very knowledgeable about trees when to prune or not at all. He is honest reliable and does exceptional work. He is also reasonably priced. Not all tree trimmers are created equal. A bad trim is like a bad haircut except your hair never grows back! look forward to using him for many years to come. read more

This crew is currently removing 4 of our neighbors trees that fell into our yard. Our neighbors home owners insurance is picking up the tab for this. This group has been here 2 days and each day I beg to have them set aside some firewood for us. I don't need it stacked. Just leave some stuff in the middle of the darn yard. leave it anywhere. I don't care. I'LL stack it myself. Our back yard was destroyed by these trees and all he says is "that wasn't in our bid". ???? All I'm asking is that they leave some wood for me. ???? wow. Just ... wow. I'll update this review once he leaves tomorrow when he's suppose to be finished. Sure hope he changes his mind. Marvin and his crew were here this week and did a great job. It was windy and he wasn't sure they would be able to complete the job but they started right on time and as the wind died down they got to all 3 trees pretty quickly. Brought down the height and thinned them a lot, but they still look good and have a pleasing shape. Not butchered! The price was reasonable and they cleaned up every last twig. I just had to write a review because Acotillo turned an experience for me with another unorganized, tree service company (see my other review for torres tree service) into a positive experience with Acotillo. I had just been flaked on by torres tree service, (for the 3rd and final time) so onto the internet I went the day after christmas to research a competent tree service. I searched through a few different services and finally found Acotillo on the web. I read all the info on their website and they sounded very reputable. I spoke to marvin, who was very understanding as I explained how I was flaked on by torres tree service. He re- arranged some time so that he could come out and see me that day for an estimate. He even gave me a general idea of approximately how much the job may cost over the phone before he came out, which I appreciated. Marvin showed up on time that day and gave us a definitive estimate. The day of the job arrived and he was on time, once again. He and his crew did such a great job and our yard looks amazing! I was actually thankful torres tree service was a bust. I was suprised Acotillo did not have a review on yelp, so of course I have to write this to let everyone on here know what a great experience I had. I have used Marvin of Acotillo Tree Service twice now. The first time was about six months ago for extremely tall trees overhanging my mother's house. Marvin was on time, friendly, very knowledgeable, clean and fair priced. They did the job so professionally and quickly! We were very impressed! The second job we had major work to do on our own house and we had him come out for a bid on all the work. Once again, he was on time, incredibly helpful, and did an excellent job on all our trees! The Acotillo team worked really well together to give amazing service. You can tell they enjoy what they do and have pride in their work. They removed several trees and unsightly shrubs and even suggested the correct replacements for some of our landscaping.
