Marvin made sure pricing, the project plan, arrival time and what was needed from me as the homeowner was clearly communicated. Comments regarding this vendor's attention to detail and focus on clean up after the trimming was completed are 100% accurate. Thank you, Marvin read more

They came out to do a service and a neighbor asked them to move their truck and the guy argued with her and then said, "your car is a piece of sh!t anyway". Then as he turned and walked away, under his breath he used a derogatory statement about her in Spanish. I don't usually leave reviews but I think its important for people to know they or their neighbors might be treated this way. Completely unacceptable! read more

I have a huge jacaranda. It was growing like crazy and while the purple flowers are beautiful they are also very messy. The tree was hanging over a skylight on my roof, in the way of electrical wires, and a couple of small branches were over a neighbor's roof. I contacted Marvin of Acotillo Tree Service and had him provide a free bid for trimming my jacaranda, lemon tree, and my strawberry tree. The bid was very reasonable and he is extremely knowledgeable. He was able to return with a very large truck and his team very soon after the bid. They were prompt, friendly, did exactly what I needed/wanted, and cleaned up beautifully following. I was very pleased with the work that was done. I shall have them return to take care of my avocado tree in the fall. The company is fully insured including Workers comp. 323-314-6294 read more

Marvin and his crew did a great job trimming our trees again. We had to remove all the branches touching the roof. It is nice to have a licensed arborist who cares for the well being of the trees and their surroundings. Great value for the excellent service! They service all of our properties. I used Acotillo Tree Service for the first time after learning that the owner was kind enough to help rescue a local cat from a tree on Fathers Day! I was not surprised to learn that Acotillo was fair, professional, efficient, prompt, and pleasant to work with. They trimmed an overgrown lemon tree, another tree (which I've already forgotten the name of) and removed a dead tree. I would be happy hire them again. read more

We have used Marvin and his Team at Acotillo for the past 3 years and will continue to do so each time our trees and hedges need cutting back or trimming because their work is simply impeccable!!! His crew are true artists. They have transformed our overgrown and out of control hedge and trees into perfectly sculpted masterpieces. Marvin was quick to come out to go over what needed to be done and what we wanted accomplished and executed the plan to perfection! No surprise added costs. No mess left afterwards. No damage to our property. His prices are much more reasonable than other tree service companies. And they by far have done a much better job than the previous companies we've worked with. I'm extremely picky and expect perfection... and that's what I received from Marvin and his Team! Thanks guys... see you in the Spring!!! read more

Marvin is a Grade A pro and artist. He is very knowledgeable about trees when to prune or not at all. He is honest reliable and does exceptional work. He is also reasonably priced. Not all tree trimmers are created equal. A bad trim is like a bad haircut except your hair never grows back! look forward to using him for many years to come. read more

This crew is currently removing 4 of our neighbors trees that fell into our yard. Our neighbors home owners insurance is picking up the tab for this. This group has been here 2 days and each day I beg to have them set aside some firewood for us. I don't need it stacked. Just leave some stuff in the middle of the darn yard. leave it anywhere. I don't care. I'LL stack it myself. Our back yard was destroyed by these trees and all he says is "that wasn't in our bid". ???? All I'm asking is that they leave some wood for me. ???? wow. Just ... wow. I'll update this review once he leaves tomorrow when he's suppose to be finished. Sure hope he changes his mind. Update Wed at 4 p.m. ....I just saw some long logs that looks like they might leave for us. It's not much but we'll GLADLY take it. read more

Marvin and his crew were here this week and did a great job. It was windy and he wasn't sure they would be able to complete the job but they started right on time and as the wind died down they got to all 3 trees pretty quickly. Brought down the height and thinned them a lot, but they still look good and have a pleasing shape. Not butchered! The price was reasonable and they cleaned up every last twig. We will definitely use them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Acotillo Tree Service to friends read more

Great service! After talking to a couple of other tree trimmers, they didn't have the knowledge that Marvin did. He knew how to help my fruit trees and did an awesome job. He was very helpful. I will use his expertise again. read more

I just had to write a review because Acotillo turned an experience for me with another unorganized, tree service company (see my other review for torres tree service) into a positive experience with Acotillo. I had just been flaked on by torres tree service, (for the 3rd and final time) so onto the internet I went the day after christmas to research a competent tree service. I searched through a few different services and finally found Acotillo on the web. I read all the info on their website and they sounded very reputable. I spoke to marvin, who was very understanding as I explained how I was flaked on by torres tree service. He re- arranged some time so that he could come out and see me that day for an estimate. He even gave me a general idea of approximately how much the job may cost over the phone before he came out, which I appreciated. Marvin showed up on time that day and gave us a definitive estimate. The day of the job arrived and he was on time, once again. He and his crew did such a great job and our yard looks amazing! I was actually thankful torres tree service was a bust. I was suprised Acotillo did not have a review on yelp, so of course I have to write this to let everyone on here know what a great experience I had. We will be using them again, and we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a honest, reputable, professional tree service. read more

I have used Marvin of Acotillo Tree Service twice now. The first time was about six months ago for extremely tall trees overhanging my mother's house. Marvin was on time, friendly, very knowledgeable, clean and fair priced. They did the job so professionally and quickly! We were very impressed! The second job we had major work to do on our own house and we had him come out for a bid on all the work. Once again, he was on time, incredibly helpful, and did an excellent job on all our trees! The Acotillo team worked really well together to give amazing service. You can tell they enjoy what they do and have pride in their work. They removed several trees and unsightly shrubs and even suggested the correct replacements for some of our landscaping. It was such a pleasure working with Marvin we wished he provided all home improvement services. It can be really stressful renovating a home but Marvin's Acotillo Tree Service made it enjoyable! Great prices. Great service. Pride in their work. And a job well done. Highly recommended!!! read more

We have used Marvin's tree service for over 3 yrs in a row. His prices are fair and reasonable and he doesn't push you to do work that is not necessary. He and his crew do a great job! I highly recommend his services and will continue to use him for years to come. read more

We have used Marvin 3x now. He and his crew do outstanding work. He is on time, very knowledgeable, professional, quick, clean and the price is right. We had a great experience! I contacted 2 tree service companies before I found Acotillo Tree Service. The first two companies were unsatisfactory. One did not even follow through submitting an estimate. Enough about them. From my first conversation with Marvin, I knew this would work. When he came to provide the estimate, he was thorough and informative and professional. When he came to do the work, they were timely and worked continuously until completion. He has the requisite equipment to take care of business. The prices are fair and the service was outstanding. I will call Acotillo Tree Service for my next tree service project. I highly recommend them. read more
