Other than the fact that you might want a segway to get around (that really is one LOOOOOOONG…read morehallway), the staff at this location are fantastic. I received a first notice in the mail for my appointment, and a second from the doctor's office. I liked having two just in case one went missing. This is my second visit, this time for a different procedure. Today, I visited for a procedure that was going to take at least 45 minutes. The Nuclear Medicine tech (she never did introduce herself and darn I forgot to ask!) was spectacular. Her IV work was exceptional (there is NO bruise! Take that UofA Hospital), found a vein first try, and taking off the bandage, there is not a single drop of blood. There is one unusual item though. I noticed a syringe in a steel tube on a rolling trolley... disinfecting? Was it even used for my procedure? Perhaps shielding/containing the radioactive material? I can't say it was or wasn't used/re-used as I wasn't able to watch from my position on the table. As I was fitted with a butterfly, I'm not sure. The tech was exceptional explaining the procedure and letting me know that she was nearby if I needed anything at all. She even manoeuvred the screen as close as she could so I could watch. During the procedure, the radiologist contacted the tech and wanted her to administer a drug. Luckily, it's one I'm familiar with, so there wasn't any need for complicated explanations. This facility is spotless, change rooms, washrooms, hallways etc. I have confidence in the safety of the patients. I have found them to be on time for your appointment, friendly, and the reminder calls with pre-procedure information is helpful and timely.

This was helpful for my driver who had 'known' without looking at the provided address where I needed to be. Thank got for cell phones and the instruction that told me to arrive 15 minutes early. I was able to get my driver out of the McDonald's drive-through, and arrive at the right time. My experience was overall pretty comfortable. They warm the gel used for the ultra sound in a kind of bottle warmer! So much nicer. The only thing that made me pause was that the staff mostly don't wear masks anymore. They say they will don a mask on request. I think that they should instead, follow the lead of the patient and wear a mask if the patient wears one. Anyway, other than that, my experience overall was very good.

The ultrasound side is a little busier right at opening hours but the other side is great The triage nurse was also lovely and cheerful greeting everyone and doing temperature check & sani before reaching reception. I always have a time trying to figure out how the scrubs gown works though lol...

I was referred to one of the Pain Doctors at this clinic and it's located just south of Stony Plain…read moreRoad where there is a row of small businesses. There's always parking, maybe not right in front, but usually a few spots down from the front door. The front waiting area isn't large with about 6 or 7 chairs. Sometimes more than half are full if family accompanies the patient. The patient rooms are clean and comfortable but the chairs are sometimes right by the door so if there's 2 people, one might get hit in the leg by the door. What is really great and convenient is the attached pharmacy. It's just off to the side of the waiting area and has 2 chairs. The staff are friendly and helpful. I also like the wait is 5-10 minutes not like some larger pharmacies where the wait is longer.

I was referred here by my doctor after going through intense pain for an extended period of time…read more I was really looking forward to finding out what all was wrong with me and getting put on a path to recovery. First of all, you're only allowed to talk about one problem per visit. I was there with torn tendons in both my shoulders, a dislocated knee, tenosynovitis in my wrist, and strong pain in my hips. In three visits all he looked at was my shoulders - when I asked a question about my knee - I was told to ask next visit. Red flag right there. On a follow up appointment to a cortisone injection in my shoulders, the doctor mentioned "Oh, they booked the wrong MRI for you - they will contact you to rebook". They never did. I called the clinic to find out when I was getting rebooked and I was told 'If the first one doesn't take we will just book you for another one'. Clearly not caring that I have to take time off work to go to these, nor the fact that I had to wait almost 6 months just for this one appointment. Finally its getting close and I get a call from the hospital about my appointment - which I now find out is only for ONE of my shoulders, not both. When I contacted the clinic they said "The doctor has no concerns about your left shoudler." I was in shock. They are equally in pain all the time. How is it possible that this was overlooked. The day comes and I go to my MRI - by the way the crew at U of A Hospital are all amazing and helpful. I get a call about a week later saying "oh hey sorry, they booked the wrong MRI and we will need you to come in again for another one." At this point - I'm getting very upset. I've now had 3 visits to this clinic - and I haven't even been allowed to mention my knee (which by the way isn't even set in its proper position), my wrist which is still in pain, and my hips which are basically now experiencing chronic pain. A few days after re-booking the MRI, I get a call from the clinic. They want me to come in to discuss my results. They wanted me to book time off from work to come in and discuss results - that the hospital already told me wouldn't give them the information they were looking for. I asked why I was being called - I felt bad cause the poor lady calling me is just doing her job. Its not her call to have someone take time off from work to come in only to be told 'Oh hey so the MRI didn't work as hoped so we will talk again after the next one.' At this point I was done with this place. I never plan on dealing with this place again. You can tell doctors who actually want to help you and others who are there for the money. This place, they are clearly there for the money. I think its great that some people have had a positive experience here - but I would never in a million years refer anyone to this place. On a side note - the waiting room is small but comfortable and the people working at the front desk are incredibly polite and professional. But yeah, there are too many good doctors out there to bother dealing with terrible ones who care about nothing but money and how many referrals they can pump out. Trust me - go somewhere else.
