Acme has convenient hours and opens early in the morning. They're conveniently located just off the 67 freeway. The parking lot is tight. I brought a trailer and there wasn't really any large area to park it except for right by their gate.
Pick up and drop off was relatively smooth. Both times the office staff seemed confused, and I was initially nervous and thought they didn't have my reserved equipment or the order for it. It ultimately worked out. Also, I was told via phone the equipment was $1 each per day, and the office stated $1.50 each per day via email. It was never acknowledged and the final price was $1 a day plus tax. Maybe the $.50 was a delivery fee, which I had never requested and nobody had inquired about.
The yard guys were awesome and incredibly helpful loading and unloading the equipment. I did stand at the gate for ~15 minutes dropping off waiting for someone to appear and help me. I wish they'd notify the yard when you have the paperwork so someone could promptly meet you. They had a sign that said employees only, but nobody was really paying attention if you were waiting or not.
Ultimately, I will come back here for future events as everyone was friendly enough, the yard guys were awesome, the location was convenient, and the price was reasonable. Thank you, Acme! read more
