I called several sign companies around east county and Randy actually answered the phone. I will never understand why people don't answer their phone in business hours. I gave him the dimensions and art work, he called me back with a price when he said he would. The banners came out better then I thought they would and he went the extra mile with more art work with no extra charge! After contacting about a dozen sign companies via phone, email, online quotes etc. trying to get a quote for a sign I began to get frustrated. They hardly ever call you back, or bother to give you a quote. Perhaps my sign job wasn't "big" enough for them? Finally I found Gilson Signs on craigslist. To be honest, This was the last place I wanted to look but I was getting pretty desperate. After contacting Randy we set a date for him to come and bid a quote. He came as promised and on time. The whole process was seemless. He gave me a quote which I agreed to and was extremely happy with. We discussed a design and I later sent him my logo and the design layout(s) I wanted. He works fast and sent me back designs fairly quickly. After approval, I had him take care of the sign permitting through the city (for an extra fee) because I really didn't have the time or want to deal with that. After the sign permits were approved we set a date for install. The only reason we didn't get them installed on the agreed date was due to rainy weather. But he showed up the next business day and it was quickly installed. Overall I was extremely happy with the service and professionalism that I received from Randy. He never up sold me on anything that I didn't need. Seemed honest, truthful, and knowledgeable with the products and choices he had. And the price was great! I contacted a few other local sign companies for some custom vinyl graphics and they either completely blew me off or stopped responding after the 3rd question. When I contacted Gilson Signs it was completely different. Not only did Randy respond almost immediately but he continued to work with me and answer questions and give advice. He even tried to direct me to an online vinyl company because he couldn't beat their price. (this was before i explained the product i wanted to use wasn't available online) He quoted me a great price on my project. He said it should take a few days to complete. I missed a call from him the next day. I'm thinking..oh no..there must be a problem. WRONG! He was already done with my job. Amazing! Other shops said it could take up to two weeks to complete. Now I'm not saying that will happen with your job but I'm sure Randy will meet or far exceed your expectations. I chose to install the graphics myself and they came out great. Gilson Signs: Randy Gilson did a great job helping me with new graphics for our motor home. As our motor home is older but in perfect condition, we wanted to update the graphics. He assisted in choosing the styles and matched the color PERFECTLY! He came out to look at the job and ask what I was looking for. He gave me options, cost estimates and took pictures. He then applied some sample graphics to the pictures and e-mailed me some ideas. He gave me choices and let me decide what I liked and what I wanted changed.Three sample applications were included in his quote. We made our choices and then the work began. The material had to be ordered from back east so it took a little longer. In the meantime, he gave me suggestions on having the motor home thoroughly rubbing compounded and cleaned. He even recommended a great guy to do the compounding and then come back and finish waxing the motor home after graphics were applied. The man and his son did such a great job that I hired him to do the enclosed buggy trailer. When the material arrived, he was very quick to come out and apply the graphics. The job looks fabulous. He gave me the left over material and even cut a few more small graphics at no charge and DELIVERED them to my home.
