A storm had damaged the ridge of my roof leaving it exposed to rain so I urgently called several roofing companies. It was about to rain for a week straight and Dave from Acme Roofing was able to get out there quick, help me understand what was needed and fix the issue quickly before the rain. They even took extra steps to redo the entire ridge so that it's better than before and found a cracked vent that they fixed. Great quality work, honored my original quote price even though they did more than we agreed to. I noticed two roof leaks during early October rains. On October 20th, I called Acme because they are a local company with excellent reviews. I wasn't disappointed. Their repair specialist, Benjie Pollard, came out the same morning and quickly located and fixed the cause of the leaks that had supposedly repaired by other companies. Since then we have gone through several intense rain storms and the repairs held well with no evidence of further leaking. I have them on my speed dial list for roofing problems. I highly recommend Acme Roofing for the quality and professionalism of their team. Did some roofing in my younger days, learned enough to know the work is very physically demanding. Also learned it's important to get several bids. You can tell a lot meeting and discussing the entire re-roof process with the roofing advisor. Decisions based solely on price caught me 20 years ago. This time around I made it a point to listen to the whys and reasons for each bid item. Comparing bids against each other was helpful, but talking with the representative during the pre-bid inspection was most critical for me. Acme Roofing representative Jay Clement is very experienced and knowledgeable. Jay took his time with a hands on inspection, including measurements. When I say hands on I literally mean hands on. Jay lifted roof shingles in some places, the same with metal flashing. He noticed and pointed out deficiencies , and potential problems. From cleaning off my roof many times, I knew of some, but not all areas needing attention or changes. Once on the ground Jay worked up and printed out the bid proposal. We went through each bid item in detail. The new ridge vent was discussed in detail. Jay learned at a seminar the importance of understanding how ridge ventilation can work. After a very detailed discussion on the importance of attic space ventilation, Jay recommended Lo-OmniRidge vent made by Lomanco. He showed me how the ridge vent system works, and out performs standard ridge vent system. I felt confident Jay was looking out for our homes best interest. My selection for Acme Roofing to re-roof my home was based on several factors. The professionalism, and thoroughness were big, but passing on knowledge was the clincher. Acme Roofing representatives Ben Pollard -Roof Specialist, and Tim Hagen - Project Manager, showed up on the day re- roofing started. Both discussed steps that would take place before, during, and after work was performed. All Acme Representatives gave us contact information on business cards and encouraged us to call if any questions or concerns arise. Ben was often on site to make sure the roofing team had what they needed to get the work done. Ben went on the roof to inspect work in progress, and to speak with the roofers. Roofers Diego, Salvador, Jose, and Johnathon are real professionals. All wore safety harnesses and were careful but fast at doing their jobs. The roofing team were respectful of our property, covering the perimeter of ground with tarps and protecting garage doors with plywood from old roofing debris being thrown into a dumpster trailer. A powerful magnet on wheels is used to pick up any and all nails. It took 1 1/2 days to roof our rather large rambler style home. Very impressive! We selected Malarkey Vista SBS 40 year modified laminated architectural roofing with algae block in midnight black. The new roof really makes our house and trim molding pop! read more

Thanks to Acme Roofing! Highly recommend! I had been getting bids for 6 months, crazy bids- as much as $10,000 higher for the SAME shingle (total re-roof). They only replaced the one piece of plywood I knew would be bad, one of my fears was getting changed for unnecessary replacement. Everyone on their team was communicative, patiently answered questions, and they got it done so fast before the rain. When I went to look at the house, I only saw one tiny piece of old roofing on the ground after all that was torn off. It looks perfect and they installed vents that weren't there before and probably should've been, this should improve ventilation and prevent mold etc. They went way above, my house was a bit outside their service area but they happily did it with not one complaint! They had a bit of a hassle with getting the City permit but got it done- that saved me having to deal with that. If you're looking for a new roof or repair, definitely give Acme a call. read more

Acme Roofing replaced my roof with a Pabco roof, and they did an excellent job. The price was fair and less than I'd anticipated, and while I did get a lesser bid, Acme was far more professional and I had more confidence that they would do a good job, use regular labor and not random temps, and if there were any problems, I was better assured of having the problem addressed. Fortunately, there were no problems. The work was no only done well, it ended up costing less than the bid. Moreover, they were done quickly, and I was amazed at how immaculate they left the yard and deck, with everything replaced exactly as I had it. Highly recommended. read more

Instead of putting an metal strip in the valley they did a "shingle weave"! I used Acme Roofing for a new roof and was very pleased with their service. So, my family was quick to call them again to fix a leak in a Rental house that we own. Again, they were very quick to respond within one day and try to fix the problem...we were all very happy with their service. We paid over $500 thinking it was fixed but realized within 2 weeks that whatever they did did not fix the problem. Now I have called and called, left messages and even talked to 2 different people who said they would get back to me (1 person chose to tell me they were too busy!). I am now editing my review because they finally got back to me saying they had several people who had been on vacation (I don't know why the person I talked to didn't tell me that in the first place)...but I got a response the day after I posted this review and they came out and worked on the leak again no charge so YAY! They have redeemed themselves in my book and I would use them again....hopefully next time they go on vacation they will write a script for the person who answers the phone. hopefully the leak is now fixed and we won't need a new roof for a bit! read more

Called this company BECAUSE of the ratings on Yelp. I spoke to someone on Thursday April 5th and asked if they could give us a bid to remove skylights and repair our roof. The gentleman I spoke to took my name and number and said someone would call me back. I called today Monday April 9th and again spoke to a man who said " yes he remembered me calling and his guys were out in the field and they would be giving me a call shortly to come to the house." He also again verified my phone number. The company is now closed and never received a call. Very poor customer service too bad we did not get a chance to give a review. read more
