Gary alone was more helpful than anybody I'd ever dealt with in Acme Pool Supply as I asked him one question and he started researching more than three answers for my question which led me to finalize my decision. Thanks to Gary he was able to help me make the best decision for my situation. There's a long time customer of Leslie's pool supply, I have to say that Leslie's has been very disappointing over the past few years. Their staff used to be well trained, but not anymore. Acme as well stocked and very knowledgeable. We had been searching for a basket for our pool skimmer box. It's an older pool and we were not able to find the basket on Amazon or Leslie's. Acme had one in stock!! we also purchased a new filter grid on Amazon and had trouble putting it together and Acme assembled the whole thing for us. Had Acme Pool come out to take care of a leak. Charged me over $200 and said the leak was fixed. The next day I noticed that it was still leaking. Called them back out, but they never showed on our agreed time. . . Called again and scheduled another appointment. Moses came out and did some more work. Said it was good to go! it wasn't. . . I called Moses again and he said he would be out to fix it right. Unfortunately I haven't seen him since. . . . Don't waste your money. Find someone who is competent. read more

Had the opportunity to go to this store yesterday for the first time. I needed a pump seal for and old, out of production pump. Was greeted by a very friendly and helpful tech. Looked at what I needed and immediately said no problem. This was after going to a large, chain pool supply store, who told me they couldn't help me because it was too old and wanted to sell me a new pump. He quickly replaced the seal and suggested a new gasket for the back pump plate. He then put it all together and carried out to the truck for me. All this for 29 dollars and change! Needless to say I will be a loyal customer from here on out. read more

I called on a Monday and spoke with Moses. Told him of my specific issue with my pool and requested him to send someone out. He quoted me a price and said that's easy peasy but couldn't get anyone out until Saturday. He gave me his cell phone number and said see you on Saturday. Saturday came I called him and he had no clue who I was, what the problem was or where I was located. After refreshing his memory he said someone would be out that day but couldn't give me a time. After 3 hrs I called back he said he would call his crew and call me right back. He never called me back. I called him again 3 hrs later, he says if someone doesn't show up by 4:30 call me back. 4:30 came and went and no one showed so I called him back but this time store was closed, no answer. Pretty sure that's why he told me that specific time knowing he wouldn't be there. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and ridiculous being he could have told me on the Monday I called that he did not want my business. I lost a week where I could have called another company that did want my business. Now it's a Holiday weekend, my pool is turning green, my kids are disappointed and I'm beyond upset. I was referred to this place by my brother-in-law after being ripped off at another place. I was in the market for a new pool vacuum but instead the kind man fixed my old one for the fraction of replacement cost.. he even spent 20 minutes on phone w us walking us through our problem we were having. I had called either Tuesday or Wednesday to make an appointment for my mom to get her pool drained and for them to show her how to use the equipment. I don't live in the area. The guy I spoke to said no problem I'll have my guys sent over on Friday between 9am-2pm. I said okay cool. My mom gives me a call today Friday at 3:30 telling me she was waiting almost all day for someone to show up or Atleast the courtesy of giving her a phone call to let her know they weren't going to be able to make it on time or that day or whatever the reason was. So I called and let the worker know and he said oh I'm so sorry I was going to give her a call today because my guys were out sick. I'm sure this place probably does a great job. Excellent Service. Expert advice over the phone for self-help. They sent an expert pool technician to my house and he fixed everything with great attention to detail on my pool pump problem. He took the motor completely apart and rebuilt it in nothing flat. Perfection with one phone call.
