They have sushi and lots of prepared foods as you go in. The bakery has whole wheat rolls and buns, which I don't see often at Acme. The deli has interesting dips and hummus flavors. My wife has gone there via the SEPTA 101 trolley and appreciates the access from the trolley stop for pedestrians. It's much easier and safer than the old location. Visually it's an engaging store. It's well lit and easy to navigate compared to the old store. Prices compare favorably to Giant and Acme.

Too many times I have gotten fruit here and had it instantly go bad. The order at the deli kiosk thing is great in theory. If it's working you should be able to put in your order and then go shopping. However, whenever we go it is conveniently turned off or out of order. So, you have to wait forever to even put in your deli order and then start your shopping. Also, I know this is a Havertown law but they did away with plastic bags so you have to bring your own bags and bag it yourself. Overall, if I have to deal with all that I would rather go to Aldi for half the price.

Some items rotate seasonally. I'm waiting for cheese pizza to come back, but liked the new scones and muffins. In moderation. I like their produce section more than Aldi, they have a consistent selection week after week. It's rare they're out of regular items like bananas or apples. Lidl tends to get rid of products without much notice so feel free to use the comment section in their receipt surveys if looking for something. Or ask when checking out. Some products are seasonal. The middle of Lidl has some good bargains. I found a water flosser and rechargeable toothbrush with a timer. My wife really likes their house brand ice cream chocolate almond sticks. I can get in and out pretty quickly even with just one line typically open.

There is something so "home-y" about this place, I just can't put my finger on it! Either way I will keep comng here. I bought my stuff today and ended up with a total of about twenty dollars. To some this is seemingly steep, but I feel with the quality I find here it is worth it!

First are grab and go meals (smart!) right by the door, then back to the deli where you can order a sandwich - hot or cold - and other items. Then...the PICKLE BARREL. OMG. I haven't seen one of these in SO long, and I was so excited I took a picture and sent it to all my old skool friends. They were equally excited. As kids, these were all over the place, and we loved stirring all the pickles in the brine, choosing one with the big metal tongs, slipping it in the wax paper bag so you could enjoy your treasure later. They also have actual groceries, small quantities but good variety so if you're in need of a bit of peanut butter for lunch sandwiches or a small pack of TP, you can get it there. You can also get lottery tickets and Bernie's Pretzels (yay!). The food was great, I got an italian hoagie that was delish, and some macaroni salad YUM. After a description of what to look for, she sent me here to see if they had it. Yep... They had it. Rangoli is the closest Indian store to where we live, so we are semi regulars. I've personally been to Indian stores with far greater selection. This store will never be able to compare with places in Edison, NJ for instance. But they do very well for a store of their size. Plus, they're my hook up for when I need Parle G biscuits. When I visited India in 08, we drove past the Parle G factory in Mumbai as it is located close to where my wife grew up. Now, Mumbai tends to be polluted and smells like it. But at that moment when we drove past, Mumbai smelled like cookies and it was glorious. So when I want to relive that moment, it's nice that I only have to go to Clifton Heights instead of buying a $1500 round trip plane ticket.
