I gave it 1 star bc I have been searching for seeded grapes and watermelon, and their website said they have it. I ordered it for curbside pickup just to get home, clean the grapes, and then bite into them....NO SEEDS AT ALL. I don't want anything without seeds. I felt bamboozled. I went back online to return, and they issued refund immediately. The associates there are nice though. I have shopped at this location out of convenience for years, but every time I enter it I wish I went elsewhere. The produce is abysmal and is always 1/2 rotted. Everything in the store is dirty. Recently, there was mold growing on their empty, smelly meat shelving. The deli closes so early, hours before the store closes and rarely are employees at the bakery, seafood or floral departments. The dairy fridges wreak like rotted milk. If I collected all the expired items I constantly find on the shelves, I would fill my shopping cart! Usually there is only 1 cashier and long lines that don't move. It's ashame because this Acme occasionally gets a thorough deep clean and reorganization and it's briefly really nice, but that never lasts too long. Audubon Acme needs management that actually cares, but sadly this location seems like a lost cause. I rather go shop at the much nicer, cleaner Westmont Acme, which is only 2 miles up the road from here. read more

This place has gone downhill fast... first they ban bags so no bags at all, then they stopped carrying hand baskets... now you have to take a bigazz cart in down the narrow aisles and that's if you can find a cart that doesn't stick or is rusted out. Plus the prices have shot up unbelivably... $10.99 for a 6 pack of SmartWater?... And last time I was here it was like $30 for a small amount of stuff. For some reason, I have had three negative experiences concerning bad meat over the last two months. Just today, I opened a package of ground meat that was meatloaf mix, beef, pork, and veal. The expiration date was June 12, 2018 and it smelled like it had gone bad. I had to throw it out because I didn't trust it. About two weeks ago, I purchased skinless boneless chicken breasts and pan-seared, oven-roasted them for my wife and myself. They tasted like they were just about to turn bad. The date on the package was still two days away! We threw them out and had something else for dinner. About 5-6 weeks ago I purchased boneless skinless chicken breasts, and I wasn't halfway home (I live 5 mins away) before they started to stink. I went home and put the other perishables away, then went back to the store, returned them and got a refund. The store rep was very apologetic and courteous about it, but perhaps they're not handling their meats properly. read more

i am tired of going to the express line (10 items or less) only to find the two people in front of me have 20 to 30 items in their cart and the cashier takes them through . why do you even have a sign ip if you do not enforce it? the last 3 times i went i had 3 or 4 items and had to wait at least 1o to 15 min while the people that can not read & the cashier who lets them gothrough i'll take my business elswhere. read more

As you can see, slightly better than other local Acmes, but now getting just as ridiculous about accepting ANY type of coupon that doesn't instantly go through their system...which because they don't want to accept coupons, just advertise it, is none. 95% of my laser printed coupons either beep to have the cashier check I bought it, beep because they program it to beep so they don't have to accept it, or just simply won't scan. These are coupons that I can take to ANY other store and are instantly accepted, so it's just the company being shady. Yeah, yeah, we double coupons. Good luck using them, SUCKER!!! This is another COVID19 related post. I visited the deli this morning and wanted potato salad. The staff had her mask on...HER CHIN! I see that Acme Audubon doesn't reinforce COVID 19 protocols and allows employees to put the customers at risk by not covering their nose and mouth. I took my order, walked around the store, and left it in a refrigerated case. Chalk this up as another store (Mt Ephraim WAWA) that doesn't reinforce COVID19 protocol. read more

They never have enough staff ! I had to checkout through self checkout because all lines were closed, on a Sunday night at 8:30 pm. Then I have to wait for someone to clear the self check out because I couldn't get a bag open fast enough to put more items in. It just seems to get worse every time I go in this place . read more

Doing the usual getting some food , def have been falling off the weight wagon and don't recommend going good shopping when u haven't eaten. I am picking up some Greek yogurt and chicken roasted. Along with salad and some fruit. The place is clean , people cashiers r very nice . Overall been going here like forever. We don't have one in Cherry Hill . We need one . Admittedly I only come here when I'm too lazy to drive to ShopRite in Lawnside or Wegman's in Cherry Hill. However, each time I go to this Acme in my neighborhood I am pleasantly surprised. While not the prettiest store and it could stand a makeover, I always find what I need and some things I don't need because I haven't seen these items at my usual grocery stores. Their hot sauce selection is top-notch, and hey, they carry DiBruno's cheeses which makes me a fan. Also the produce is very good in terms of freshness and presentation. The prices are a little higher, but the selection of items ~ at least the ones I buy ~ are great. I know other past reviews knock the customer service, but I can say that over the last couple of years I've only come across very friendly and helpful employees. read more

This Acme has horrible customer service, and the prices aren't competitive at all. I've had plenty of bad experiences here but kept coming back because it's within walking distance. Many of the sale items don't come up that way at the register. They have a policy if it doesn't scan the correct price it's free. It's a dumb policy and it breeds poor customer service. The workers don't want to give you something free so they always fight with you. I would just like the item for the advertised price, or how they have it displayed rather because there is always a gimmick to the sale, e.g. (sale only valid on chicken breasts when the BOGO sign is on every rack of Perdue poultry). Sure, let's lose a customer over $4 and that's exactly what they did tonight. Another worst practice is the premature closing of the store on most nights. They don't close until 11pm, but stroll in here quarter after 10 and good luck getting any shopping done. All the lights in frozen foods are off, the pull down shades are drawn so you can't see anything in produce or meats. You're lucky if they have one register open, the self checkout should be the last thing to close, but it's shut down early. Finally let's talk about basic stuff like having to hunt down a carry basket, cashiers not thanking you, store associates not greeting you. Key items are not kept in stock or filled, I have to beg for a mayonnaise packet for my premade sandwich, because they always forget to fill the little cup. Tonight there were no roasted chickens at 4pm. It's the death by a million little cuts, it's no wonder all the Acme's in the area are closed down. My experience at the Acme in Audubon, NJ was horrible. I had an inexperienced cashier, a rude customer representative, and an obnoxious, and intrusive security guard. I went to the market to get sodas that were advertised on sale. The workers insisted that I could not mix and match and Lisa the customer service representative suggested that I could go to Giant if I wanted to do this. I called customer service and requested the district manager to contact me since they claim they can not give the number out. It has been a week and the district manager Joseph Holt has still not contacted me. I guess they thought that having the customer service representative offer a gift certificate would appease me, but it has not. They really need to re- train their employees because if the employees don't want their jobs their of people who are out of work who would cherish them.
