I took it up to the 5th floor because I wanted to put Ruby's in the eyes of the eagle. I sat down with Carl and we went over options, real vs manufactured, low grade vs high etc. I had a budget of $600 and he found a pair of beautiful Ruby's for $600. Perfect, I leave the sword and wait for his call. A week later Carl called me and I went straight over to pick it up. I get there and Carl has this kind of sad/anxious look on his face. That's when he hit me with it, "I quoted you the wrong price, it's $600 for each stone not $600 total". I'm now thinking I can't pay for this now and they're already installed. He then continues, I know you had a budget and if I got it right you would have turned down the $1200 price tag. So, I'm honoring my quote of $600 and here's your sword. I didn't know what to say, what do you say? I had made some extra side $ the day before that was my pocket money for the next week. I pulled out the $100 I made and handed it to him. He tried to refuse but I placed it in his hand and let go. I apologized and said that's all the money I have. He thanked me for my business and gained a customer for life that day. And a big promoter, as I love showing off the sword and telling the story. It made 2 people that I told it to go buy their watches from him.

Without reviewing the local shop, let's just say he did a terrible job adding 2 links and a new (dead) battery...no wonder he insists on cash. When I got a good look at the workmanship (not) and saw 2 link pins sticking out the side of the watch, I asked around for other referrals. I was NOT going to take it back to the same guy. That's when I heard about Valencia Time Center. From the time I walked into Valencia Time Center, I could tell I had found the right place. I was immediately greeted by a friendly associate. After explaining to him what had happened with my watch, he gave me a fair estimate. After a minute, Duane came over and discussed with me his ideas to fix and realign the links to where they should be placed. It appeared to me the 18k gold had been bent by the other guy, but Duane was able to make whatever magic alignment adjustments in a way that corrected the mistakes and made the watch look perfectly set again. He knows his craft well and obviously carries the right tools to fix what is brought in for repair. This watch is very special to me. I thought it was damaged forever. Lesson learned, I will never go anywhere else....and I earned 1 point! Love that! Thank you Duane.

The moment you walk in the door, The owner Pejman Jadidi greets you with his friendly, happy smile, and hello! Service is quick, professional, and affordable. My watches have always been gifts, But I always told myself when I finally buy my own watch, this is where I'm going. That happened yesterday. I brought a couple of my watches in for batteries and band replacements and started looking around. There's a lot to choose from including Bulova, Citizen, Hamilton, Fossil, Timex, etc just to name a few. I focused on a Bulova. I wasn't sure of what diameter, Although I had an idea because my wrists are a little small. There are several sizes to choose from, I tried on a few to get the feel for them and find the size that worked for me. They were super helpful and accommodating and patient with my fickleness. We finally settled on a beautiful one with a nice burgundy colored face that fit my wrist size perfectly! The price was great, and the band adjustment was quick and efficient and the watch was super affordable, and I can't even tell you how happy I was with the experience when I was driving home and I couldn't stop looking at my watch! Hahaha! Thanks again for everything folks! Walter Wynn Ojai
