I've purchased work watches here in the past and it was always a great experience. My 84 year old mom has a necklace with a small pendant on it. It has settings for the birth stones of myself, my daughter and my son. Since my daughter and I share a birth stone, my mom decided she wanted to replace one of our stones with the birthstone of my grandson (her great grandson). We discussed with the lady helping us (sorry I don't remember her name), the option of making all the stones larger and doing a complete overhaul on the piece. This would obviously make the price go up on their side of the transaction. Instead of going for the money, she told us she thought it would make the piece too large and might not look as good. She said that because the stone we were adding (Alexandrite) has a bright blue color it will stand out nicely and it won't need to be larger. I appreciated her honest opinion. She told us the stone would have to be ordered and they would do that Monday morning. I was surprised when she text me later in the day Monday and said it was already done and we could pick it up. Amazingly fast service. We picked it up and it looks AMAZING!!! Her suggestion was exactly what it needed. The price was great and they polished it up like it was brand new. It's a simply little piece, nothing eleaborate or expensive, but it's so important to my mom. When she saw it she cried. I came in to demagnetize my watch because it was running +12 seconds per day and I had used a magnetometer and saw it was magnetized. On average it was +2 to 3 seconds per day. I met a friendly man at the counter and he said he could demagnetize it for me for free. Afterwards, he used a timegrapher and said it was now running +15 seconds in one position. He gave it back and encouraged me to service my watch for $600. I thanked him and left. Afterwards my watch was running +2 minutes per day.... I then bought a $15 demagnetizer on Amazon. Now my watch is back to normal. Just a PSA for customers... I'm not sure if the gentleman didn't know how to use the demagnetizer or it was an attempt to sell me a $600 service. In any case, I'm going to go to an authorized boutique to service my watch from now on. Edit: The owner's response was quite accusatory and aggressive. Duane was great in fitting the watch a few times to my preference with incredible patience and a desire to get it right before I left. I told them I have another Tag I want to bring in for service and refinishing. Their pricing was extremely fair, their professionalism and ability to connect with the customer was a 10! What a great little place! Went in to see if they could fix the diamond on my ring that became loose. Took the ring for about 20 min (and he was nice enough to keep it within my sight like I had asked!!) and was able to not only fix it, but he cleaned and polished it too!! He only charged $20! I am on the fence with my rating. I am careful how I rate businesses using Yelp to guide other yelpers make the best decision. I never use it (like others I have noticed) to slam a business or take out their frustration on the business especially if they never gave the business a chance to rectify or address their concern which leads me to my ambivalence. Let me explain... I came to change my battery on my Tag H- my watch is definitely not a cheap watch but not super expensive but most importantly its value is priceless for I have had it for over 10 years (so more on sentimental value). I used to go to this place when they were located inside Valencia Town Center on second floor and now they are located in shopping area between Target and Sprouts on Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, CA. My ambivalence comes from the price of the battery replacement - $50. Hmmm...I think kinda pricey. To be fair they gave me two options - $25 for battery but they recommended some type of pressure test (additional $25 due to the fact that my watch is a Tag H and per staff they told me I want to make sure water does not get inside my watch. I told them, I know I can use it to dive but I don't swim. But then the guy said, it is an expensive watch and water may seep in when I am washing dishes (once again, why will I wear my watch while washing dishes). In the end I succumbed to these "sales pitches". I can only fault myself for that. That is why I am on the fence with my rating. Part of me want to give them 3 stars for the sales pitch but then I am an adult, in the end I should have trusted my gut. Did they change the battery - yes they did in 15 minutes and also demonstrated (for I asked) how to adjust the time ( yup, I should really remember after all these years to change the time:/) So, buyer beware...hopefully my experience will help you make a better decision so you don't feel pressured to pay the additional fee (which in hindsight now, I do not think I needed). read more

I came into the store with a watch that had a loose watch clasp that needed to be tightened. They were able to tighten the clasp, and didn't event charge me! I, also, asked them to polish my watch and they gave me a very fair price and finished the work on the same day. One by one the batteries on three of my watches had expired and I had put off getting them replaced. I decided to go to my trusted jeweler at last, only to find he was closed during his reported business hours. This was not the first time it happened, since Covid. OK, I finally had to find someone else I could rely on. Being a Yelper, I looked at what was near me. Valencia Time Center was just a mile away, had excellent reviews, better prices on battery replacement and was open. I decided to take a chance, as among these was one of my best watches. I then remembered VTC from when they were in the Valencia Town Center. Good, I could entrust my valued pieces to them. I called, got a cheerful and encouraging response from the girl who answered the phone and hopped over, finding a parking space right in front. That was a good sign! She greeted me, offered me a seat and the watches were finished within 15 minutes of my arrival. As I sat and admired the gorgeous jewelry and eyed a diamond encircled Rolex that was right in my style, I also noticed a sign on a Grandfather clock similar to mine that VTC does house-calls for these clocks. Oh, YAY! My watches were returned to me with a smile, carefully placed back in their boxes. The guy who fixed them also set the time and day for each -- a nice touch. Duane, the owner, came out and asked me how my day was going ... that was nice of him. So, here is a watch and jewelry place that is actually open during their published business hours, sparkling inside, (clean windows too!), friendly, fast, and $5 less per watch than my usual place. I came in with a couple of watches that needed some TLC. One was a Seiko Kinetic Dive watch and older Citizen Aqualand. Duane and I discussed that the Seiko wasn't holding a charge, and I brought a new special battery with me. I also mentioned that I do water this one for diving. He quickly took them both behind the counter, opened them up, confirmed that I had brought the correct battery, and installed it while I waited.
