He could and it's on full display in his shop. We have been around for a day or so and we're not sure when it was open. So glad we saw that it was open and visited and learned that he is retiring. Sad to learn this but completely understand at the same time. He has some beautiful art that is affordable for all price ranges. The selection is huge and if you like glass work don't pass this up. He was very helpful, takes credit cards and helped pack our purchase in enough protection for travel. A true artist in Sutter Creek and in my opinion someone worth supporting. Glass artists are not growing in their field they are shrinking. I would rather buy from a living artist than a dead one. I wasn't super thrilled at the idea but it sounded like I'd have fun because there was alcohol involved. Now I can say I have 6 different pieces hanging around my house that I am proud to say that I painted, thanks to Judy! Brush and Cork is not your typical "wine and paint night" where you get drunk and come home with a painting you may or may not like. Judy has the image sketched out on the canvas in pencil, so you are following along with her like a paint by number. She teaches you every step of the way, and makes sure that everyone goes home with something they love. I love that the canvases are pre drawn, because even if you don't feel like you have artistic talent you can bring home something beautiful. Other paint nights that I have gone to with a blank canvas just aren't as fun... I feel more stressed and like I'm wasting my money. Besides the fact that she makes it easy to kickback and have a fun night with your friends, Judy is a wonderful teacher. She takes her time, and goes at the pace of the class instead of just blasting through everything to make sure the class is over by 9. She wants everyone to succeed, and you can tell she isn't just following a "trend" and making it all about the money. She is a fantastic artist, and a great teacher. I've now moved over an hour away, and I still make the drive up to do paintings with my mother in law and sister in law, Judy is worth the drive. :)
