Unfortunately, it didn't work and I did have to resort to the shots, but I did have a good experience here. The physical therapists are just wonderful. They are very kind and understanding. They would push me, but they never pushed too far. They seemed to know my limits even better than I did. I guess that's why they are physical therapists and I'm not. :D It's a very large physical therapy center. Even though this one was a good distance away, there are not very many centers in jacksonville that offer the aquatic physical therapy. The pool is located inside and it is heated. It's more like an above the ground pool. For those who can't make it up and down the stairs, they have a chair for the patient to sit in which raises up and lowers the person into the pool... it then does the opposite to remove the person from the pool. The front desk people are wonderful also. They are great at working with your schedule to make appointments. They did a great job at filing my insurance for me too. If you're in need of aquatic physical therapy or other types of physical therapy, I highly recommend Heartland.

It used to be okay, but now each PT is servicing two to three people at once and they just tell you to do the different exercises. I need one on one care and I need actual work on my body. Why am I paying to sit around waiting on my PT to go work on others? I could do it at home for free.

The billing department will hoard any positive balance (credit) you have without you even knowing that you have a credit. Mine was over $100 which they had kept for 6 months without me knowing it even existed. I still wouldn't know about if I hadn't scheduled a new appointment and asked why they only charged me $20 for the appt. (They shouldn't have charged me anything as I had a hefty credit. Anyway the receptionist stated that I had a credit of over $100 for 6 months. She said I had to ask for any refund. So if you are a patient there, you must have ESP to figure out if you have a credit so you can ask for a refund.

Each location is staffed with multiple doctors who specialize in various aspects of PT. This location specializes in sports injuries. Being located with the YMCA is sweet. They encourage one to follow up with a healthy lifestyle. They also share a small headed, indoor pool for aquatic physical therapy. Which is the bomb for us in LOTS of pain. They even offer a free month membership to the YMCA after one is healed. And the YMCA has a sliding monthly payment for us poor folks. One can even apply for financial assistance for an even lower monthly membership. The pool and locker room are terrific. One might as well enjoy themselves as they recover from an injury.

Everything runs like clockwork, however I do find I am not always brought back start on time. It's usually about a 5 minute delay. The staff are usually multi tasking, which is fine by me. I don't need someone over me. My therapist and I work well together. He's very nice and intuitive the exercises or stretches I need. They share the facility with YMCA. I don't use the equipment within Brooks. I use the pool. It's getting remodeled Mid-Sept 2018, so hopefully that will look good. However, it's not Brooka so it doesn't effect this rating.

They are the ones' who helped me move past my stopping point when I felt I had done enough. Equipment: There are comfortable massage tables here, some light universal equipment, bands, workout balls, bicycle for your hands and legs.

When my cast was taken off, I could barely walk, and I was in pain after a few steps. Corey, the physical therapist here, is kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. I visited 2-3 times a week for the first couple months and weekly after that. I have seen and felt steady improvement in my gait, flexibility, and endurance since starting here. For my first visit, I saw Dr. Vish who actually saw evidence of the broken bone in my back and suggested deeper scans. I returned a handful of times afterwards and saw Dr. Vish. He was polite, straight-forward, and the adjustments felt good. My interactions with Dr. Nguyen were different. He came across like a used car salesman always trying to upsell me.
