I got spoiled by living…read morenear on of the best bakeries in Detroit in North Rosedale Park that was legendary over 90 years. Since it closed upon the owners retirement, I have looked for something similar but usually disappointed mostly. Not here, the cupcakes I brought was some of the best I have had in my 60+ years. Fresh, flavorable, and rich. Well worth the $4.75 each cost. Service was friendly and efficient that seemed to enjoy talking with the customers. Plenty of parking in the front. At the SE corner of Longlake and Woodward right next to the new Einstein Bagels. I hope to find my way back to this area because it is worth stopping.

Talk about DELICIOUS! You can tell they are baked FRESH daily. Not overwhelmingly sweet and the icing is scrumptious! Price is on par at $5.50 each. They have a menu that changes monthly, along with special items for holidays and other special occasions. These were for my birthday and a nice handwritten card was included. The ribbon was $1.50 extra but added to celebratory occasion. I had a plate that matched so used it to create a nice photo, including adding a candle and making a wish! Not only are the cupcakes beautiful, they taste as good as they look! Another plus is each box comes with instructions for storing and handling. I'm already planning my next visit!

Despite the place being empty on Sunday morning, the staff still made so many mistakes with our order it was ridiculous. There is no cream/sugar/stirs station so every time you need something you have to ask. The coffee was good, so were the cider donuts, but that was it. The avocado toast has almost zero avocado, I couldn't taste it at all. The breakfast sandwich was made on a stale and reheated bagel from the bag. We were not impressed at all, and won't be back. It also costed is $30 for a very poor breakfast experience.

I think the cold brew is great as they always have rotating flavors for the foam- I got the lemon honey cold foam and it was delicious! Knocking off a star tho as it's an up charge for cold foam added to the cold brew charge ($6.00 for 12 oz I believe). Pretty sure I got up charged for no reason! I also love the carrot cake cupcake here (what's up doc it's called, I believe). I usually get one mini which is $2.25. They also sell Blakes jams here which are super tasty and beat the Whole Foods/ other brands! I recommend trying the Blake's triple jam. Highly recommend coming here for quality eats and the mini muffins are delish!

Plum Market is a fantastic spot if you're looking for top-tier quality and unique grocery options…read more Their produce section is consistently fresh and well-stocked, and the wine selection is impressive, offering a great variety of hard-to-find bottles alongside reliable favorites. While the prices are on the higher side compared to standard supermarkets, the superior selection, clean store layout, and specialty items make it well worth the extra cost when you want higher-quality ingredients and better options than other nearby grocery stores.

I recently decided to try Plum Market after a really bad experience at a Kroger across the street…read morethat I won't be going back to. Right away, I noticed that Plum Market is definitely on the pricier side. I understand that, higher-end products, better selection, etc. so I was open to it and willing to give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, the checkout experience completely turned me off. The cashier didn't say hello, didn't acknowledge me during the transaction, and didn't even say thank you at the end. It was just... nothing. For a store that charges premium prices, I expect at least basic customer service, and that was missing. Because of that, I won't be returning. I've had much better experiences at Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace and Westborn Market, both have great products and friendly service. I'll be sticking with places like those moving forward.

We both got iced vanilla lattes with an extra shot. The barista told us they're known for their vanilla syrup, so of course we had to try it. The definition of hipster is to have a store that you can only find if you know about it, already…read more So this place shares a building with a barbershop, which happens to be on the second floor, but the coffee shop has no signage. Was there in early June and the coffee and service were both good, as was the savory pastry I got. The main issue with this place is the noise... not for the usual reason in coffeeshops where they play music too loud, but it's a raucous and busy place, which speaks well of the business. But far worse than noisy conversation there's this bell on both the front and back entrances that plays a little five note electric tune every time someone comes in or leaves... Why is it there? Why is it needed? The fact that only a few people have noted it here perhaps speaks more of our noise-polluted lives than anything else, but it's maddening as this thing goes off literally every minute or more, constant, tintinnabulations of the bell, bell, bell, bell, bell... There was an employee taking a break on his phone listening to YouTube videos out loud, too... I guess we're all just so used to this now. So if you want a quiet cafe to get work done, this ain't it. Maybe it's more of a Central Perk scene, with people meeting socially, all who liked the place before it became cool.
