The rent price is affordable in comparison to what rent looks like in this day and age, that is probably the best perk about the property for my current predicament. Additionally, we were not given the option to end our lease sooner, rather reminded to give the 60-day notice per our lease agreement-- which was fine. Google reviews on here may be fake and misleading as this complex will host "Google review giveaways" where residents may feel pressured to leave a good review to win a prize. While concerns were addressed, they were addressed inadequately as email responses to the complex seemed to be the main resolve instead of genuine action. Facilities were okay with an often dirty pool and green hot tub. Trash will pile up every weekend and over flows into the road, causing an odor in the community. Parking was often left up to the residents as you are told to purchase a parking sticker, but most spots are taken by those without one. Once again, these actions were just simply emails and a "do it yourself" vibe. I would not recommend people to live here unless it is a temporary situation while waiting for a better place.

The residents are all super friendly and the staff that works here?? AMAZING!!! Taylor (the Community Director) is one of the nicest, most accommodating property managers I've ever dealt with anywhere! I've rented quite a few properties in my 40+ yrs on this earth, in many different states! Taylor is awesome, as is Brittany who also works in the office here. I also have to give a huge and much deserved shout out to the maintenance team here!! Ricardo, Ryan, and the others have been fantastic. I've lived here for a couple years now and any time I've ever needed anything they have been quick to fix/repair or even just look at whatever the issue was. From AC repair, to new appliances, to fixing leaky sinks and anything in between!!! The property as I said is also very well maintained and I feel very safe living here. I honestly can't recommend this property enough! I will now be letting other residents here know, they too should leave some reviews. This is absolutely not a 3 star property and they should have the 5 star rating they deserve!

I've lived here for over a year, so I feel like I can give a pretty fair and balanced review…read more Starting with the positives, the residents here are generally respectful, the area feels very safe, and the location is extremely convenient being right next to Desert Ridge and High Street. The pool area and rooftop lounge were honestly some of my favorite amenities, and the main common areas are usually kept clean and look nice. Now for the downsides. The biggest issue is definitely the noise insulation between floors. You can hear EVERYTHING from upstairs neighbors. Unfortunately, the neighbors above me had toddlers, and the noise became so bad that not only I could hear it, but even the residents beside and below me could hear it too. Eventually they had to switch units because of the complaints. I don't necessarily blame them though -- the building just seems very cheaply made when it comes to soundproofing. I could even hear my neighbors opening drawers, and I know my downstairs neighbors could hear me walking around my apartment too. I've also heard several other residents complain about this same issue. The internet here has also been extremely frustrating, especially since I work remotely from home. There was one point where the Wi-Fi through out the entire Sunela community was out for almost two full days, and even after recent upgrades, my internet still cuts out almost every morning while I'm working. The attention to certain issues have also been inconsistent. My dishwasher has never fully worked the entire time I've lived here despite multiple maintenance visits trying to fix it. Also Package handling has also been frustrating. There were multiple times I thought my packages were stolen, only to later find out the leasing office had been holding them without notifying me. At one point, I was even given an Amazon package three months after it had originally been delivered. Resident events are pretty limited as well. They almost NEVER do resident events. They recently just had a few that they threw together within the same week, but hopefully they can keep it going to continue putting out more resident events. There were even times events were advertised and then never actually happened like the cheesecake trucks. Overall, this apartment has great amenities, a great location, and a generally respectful community, but the poor soundproofing, internet issues, maintenance problems, and package handling definitely affected my experience living here.

We lived there for a total of 4 years. Overall, the management lacks customer service, parking…read moreSUCKS, and amenities and the actual apartments are worn down. When we first moved in, we loved the 1bdrm layout. We also had a good experience the person that we worked with, Nathaniel. We were given 1 parking spot and my husband was left to finding a guest spot. We quickly noticed how guest parking filled very quickly. After a couple months, we were able to get another parking spot. After about a year or two, they changed almost HALF of the guest spots to electric charging stations which really made guest spots EVEN MORE challenging to find. After about 3 years in the 1bdrm, we moved to a 2 bdrm...BIG MISTAKE. About 1 month in to this 2bedroom apartment, we started to have issues. Since this was a top floor unit, something started leaking causing mold to grow. We had to completely move out of the primary room. It was fixed, but absolutely no compensation from the leasing office whatsoever (meanwhile they were using the electricity that we pay for to "dry" out the affected area). About 4 months later, the same exact thing happened. And once again, had to move completely out of the primary bedroom and no compensation from the management. (DO not rent a top floor unit!) Also, we had a garage included with this apartment and that included a tandem parking spot which was a huge pain. Another thing to note, this place isn't secure. They have gates all around but they don't work. They haven't worked for at least 2 years. All of the pedestrian gates are also all broken. I have physically seen a car with broken windows and a resident filing a police report. Also have heard of residents getting things stolen out of their garage. The apartments are in need of a refresh. The floors are uneven and the windows aren't sealed letting in air from outside, racking up the AC bill. The amenities LACK completely. They have a "movie theater" with uncomfortable furniture. And there isn't much green space to walk your dog (other apartments in the area have fenced in dog spaces). The pool is nice but there isn't enough furniture since it fills up fast. As we moved out, we were hit with lot of extra fees essentially to try to get as much money from us as possible. Although this place is affordable for the area, I wouldn't recommend it.

I lived at Senita on Cave Creek for 3 years, and I'm honestly very glad to be out of there…read more The final year was especially difficult because of the constant construction. It created a major inconvenience for residents and made day-to-day living frustrating. All of the amenities that were available when we originally moved in were demolished and are still under construction. For the last year there was no pool, no gym, and no clubhouse, yet residents were still paying premium apartment prices. For what you actually get, I do not feel this community is worth the cost. One bright spot was Lacey who worked there. She was always communicative, helpful, and professional, and I truly appreciated working with her. Unfortunately, after she left, my experiences with management were much less positive. I'm usually someone who tries to focus on the positives and give places the benefit of the doubt, but after three years here, I cannot recommend this apartment community. The construction disruptions, loss of amenities, and overall value for the price made it a disappointing experience.

if your thinking about renting with this apartment. DONT DO IT. I'm very disgusted and disappointed…read morein what me and my family had been welcomed to our night of arrival. Keep in mind my family was coming from out of state and was completely blindsided with this place. not only having to be welcomed with such a disgusting and unclean apartment with my newborn and toddler the management in the office seemed completely unbothered with how they left this apartment to be presented and actually considered it as FIXABLE. This apartment was FAR from fixable and on top of that my question is well if this stuff was so easily fixable then why wasn't it fixed before our arrival especially since management and maintenance had extra days to clean before we came due to being out of state (they were aware of this). Here are some pictures of what was wrong with this unit and if anything was actually fixable it would've probably taken our entire lease agreement to fix. I don't know if they expected me to be in and out constantly during the most hottest months of the year with two under two to "FIX" these issues but thats extremely inhuman and inconsiderate. Obviously the two women in the office don't care how not only these apartments are presented but clearly don't care how they present themselves either considering how hard it was to even get them to realize how wrong it'd be to charge us a full months of rent when we had already moved out the day after arrival after seeing how disgusting this apartment was. I guess anyone can get hired now days. After trying to walk all over my husband in the office by trying to charge us it took me stepping in the office to deal with this mess. Still waiting for the deposit back since we practically left the place cleaner than before we entered by cleaning the whole fridge down, cleaning black mold out the washer, and scrubbing the toilet and shower from piss and black stains. Absolutely disgusting. Not to even mention the unexplainable drain situations in this apartment.

When first moving in I mentioned 6 errors in the apartments that needed to be fixed and also notated on checklist they provide at move in. Brenda stated she will have them fixed but we never received a follow up. But despite multiple follow-ups, I've been ignored completely. When I finally spoke to someone in the office, the staff member was dismissive and made me feel like my concerns didn't matter. 7 months later we reached out and had to go down to the office and reassure them of the errors in apartment had not been fixed. That includes missing closet door, light bulbs, water heater, loud washer and dryer, messy painted counter and etc. Furthermore I had to deal with Brenda & Megan hanging up phone calls, cutting me off while speaking, stating that I won't be living here that long, Racism. We went through chain of command and spoke to who is above them and he stated he will have a meeting in regard to this situation but nothing has changed. This lack of professionalism is really disappointing and reflects poorly on how management handles resident concerns. It's disappointing to feel unimportant in a place I call home. I hope the leasing office improves its communication and customer service, as it's clear this is something that needs attention." This type of treatment not only made me feel undervalued, but it also suggests a lack of care for residents' needs. It seems like the leasing office doesn't prioritize creating a positive community experience or offering basic customer service.
