if your thinking about renting with this apartment. DONT DO IT. I'm very disgusted and disappointed in what me and my family had been welcomed to our night of arrival. Keep in mind my family was coming from out of state and was completely blindsided with this place. not only having to be welcomed with such a disgusting and unclean apartment with my newborn and toddler the management in the office seemed completely unbothered with how they left this apartment to be presented and actually considered it as FIXABLE. This apartment was FAR from fixable and on top of that my question is well if this stuff was so easily fixable then why wasn't it fixed before our arrival especially since management and maintenance had extra days to clean before we came due to being out of state (they were aware of this). Here are some pictures of what was wrong with this unit and if anything was actually fixable it would've probably taken our entire lease agreement to fix. I don't know if they expected me to be in and out constantly during the most hottest months of the year with two under two to "FIX" these issues but thats extremely inhuman and inconsiderate. Obviously the two women in the office don't care how not only these apartments are presented but clearly don't care how they present themselves either considering how hard it was to even get them to realize how wrong it'd be to charge us a full months of rent when we had already moved out the day after arrival after seeing how disgusting this apartment was. I guess anyone can get hired now days. After trying to walk all over my husband in the office by trying to charge us it took me stepping in the office to deal with this mess. Still waiting for the deposit back since we practically left the place cleaner than before we entered by cleaning the whole fridge down, cleaning black mold out the washer, and scrubbing the toilet and shower from piss and black stains. Absolutely disgusting. Not to even mention the unexplainable drain situations in this apartment. read more

Hi my name is David Lovell and I live at Senita on Cave Creek and I came here to write a review about a fairly new employee named Maverick. From day one when he started here I've noticed alot of things better attended to those things that had less attention. The big one for me is the dog poop. Before he started the dog poop cans with poo bag dispensers were constantly over flowing to the point of the lid not closing thus resulting in WAY more smell and at MUCH further distance. Also the bags were empty alot. The amount of poop and how long it had been sitting made for a really unpleasant and nasty situation. I felt so bad for the people living on the first level apartments near them. I have not seen ANY of the pool cans more than 1/4 full at any time since he started. He's definitely on that problem. And its nasty job to do so he definitely needs a pat on the back for that! I also see him daily picking up the dog poop that Inconsiderate irresponsible dog owners that don't pick up after their dogs. Also washing poop off the sidewalks from the owner that let their dog poop on our walkways. I've also notice the property looking alot cleaner because I see him picking up trash around the property. And little trash to like cigarette butts ect. He's a hard worker and cares. He's friendly to people. He waves at people and always has a smile in his face. We've been living here for almost 3 years now. The new management company is great, so was the previous one. Most of the staff is friendly. Especially Maverick Smith with the maintenance team. He's super helpful, hardworking, and always stops to say hi. (Also, Maverick, thank you for your service in the US Army.) The office staff is super friendly as well. Apartments are really nice. Absolutely love this place! We swung in here on a whim after seeing the open house signs on the road. We were looking for an apartment for a short term lease. Senita personnel were accommodating and showed us several apartments on a moments notice (literally). The Apartments were newer, and updated and very clean. We rented our apartment for a 2 month lease. We were able to do all the paperwork online, bonus for us as we live out of state. Our move in was simple and they had referrals for furniture places as well. The amenities are great with an immaculate pool area with a pavilion with grills that actually do work! The work out room has updated equipment and everything you need to clean equipment after your workout. There's a recreation building with television, games, coffee, cold brew, wi-if, pool table, shuffleboard table and several tables with seating and a comfortable tv area with a sectional couch and great furnishings. Can I tell you about Senita personnel? I love them! Bernadette is the Community manager and she's a gem! So helpful, knowledgeable and approachable. Bernadette and her team have gone out of their way to make our stay here fantastic! Such a refreshing change after some other places we have rented. Two Thursday's a month there's a different food truck; nice for the days you aren't wanting to cook. Most importantly, I stayed here alone 1/2 the time and as a woman, I felt safe. It's been about a week since the move, and I have to say I am so impressed with the staff and maintenance of the grounds/common areas! Below are a few things that I found worth mentioning: -Valet Trash: SO convenient! Who wants to carry their trash to the dumpster when you can get it picked up several days a week :) The trash areas are also kept nice and clean if you need to dispose/recycle. -Washer/Dryer: LOVE the top load washers versus what I had last (front load). -Unit/balcony: Great square footage for the price. Love the dark floors with the updated interiors and appliances! -Fitness Center: The fitness center is equipped with all your essentials to get a solid workout in. I also considered buying a Peloton bike for my home but realized the property provides two bikes with access to a variety of classes! -Dog Park: Large enough space for my dogs to run around and play. On a side note, I have picked up dog poop (not from my dogs) countless times at my old property. It is a relief that Senita is enforcing that all dog owner's pick up their dog poop with Poo Print (ID technology from swabs taken from dogs to identify any poop left behind)--genius! read more

Haved lived here for over a year and recently signed our lease for another year. The location is perfect. The on-site amenities are great. All the employees are very friendly. Roger works Maintence and is a really great guy. Always available to help with anything and super friendly to talk to. Management is also great and Kate is amazing. She always has community events where residents can hangout have fun and get to meet each other. There's always food and drinks and different activities going on. I wound up not moving in to this community however it was amazing so clean so beautiful also Sandra and Perala were beyond amazing and helpful! I have never really had any issues that required maintenance as this is a basically brand new property with all new appliances. I somehow got my laundry room door off track and Maverick was there to fix it promptly. He was courteous and fixed it quickly! I work from home and he made sure not to make too much noise. Update: We're getting ready to renew our lease after being here almost one year and we love it just as much as we did when I wrote my original review. The front office / maintenance staff is great - they're always nice, helpful, and tentative - we don't use them for much, but when we do - they're right on it. We live in an upstairs corner unit, so we don't have any walls that are attached to hear neighbors unless someone's dog is outside barking (anyone would hear that). In our second room across the apartment that shares a wall with our neighbor, we can only hear their kids that live next door if they're playing or opening up the closet doors (they kind of slam to close, no way around it as it's the same in that room for us) but other than that - we never hear anything, so it's not a nuisance. The appliances haven't failed us, everything has worked perfectly, we have had no bug issues (someone asked me about scorpions once? IDK - never seen any bugs since we moved in really other than annoying moths/mosquitos that fly around outside, but it's the desert man) the carpet/flooring/doors/etc. have held up well. We seriously love it here and have zero complaints - all our neighbors are nice too, which is cool. We intend on staying for 1-2 more years! There's a lot of reviews on Google stating the front office is rude - I don't know what those people's problems are! Ally & the front office have been fantastic to deal with over the last month while we were securing our Unit & relocating from Las Vegas. She answered all questions tentatively and detailed and was a pleasure to deal with. This property has been amazing so far - we came from a "nice looking" apartment in LV that was the same price, but built terribly. Walls were thin, everything was cheap and broke easy, and our neighbors were awful. Here at Ascend - the quality of the build is amazing. The cabinets are solid and close properly and evenly, the appliances feel luxurious for something that belongs in a $600K+ house, the floors are installed correctly and don't creek and make noise when you walk on them like other cheap apartments, the carpet is plush and soft to walk on, the closet space is massive to fit tons of clothes, and having a personal balcony is amazing. I can't say if the walls are thin or if we hear our neighbors as we leased a corner unit with our Master on the opposite side of our neighbor, so we can never hear them anyways. Parking is adequate and it's nice that they have secure package lockers & valet trash service to come pick up your trash. So far, we're so happy we picked Ascend after touring 10 locations around North Phoenix / Scottsdale. I'll post a review in a year or two when we move out to see if anything changes! read more

Unfortunately, I have had a water bill issue for almost a year now. The management always waits for months to go by before resolving the issue, so every time I am forced to pay the inflated charges. I have been billed for 2 garages instead of one multiple times. The manager takes no action to rectify my water bill, even after maintenance has confirmed a leak. Therefore, forcing me to pay the bogus charges to avoid paying my rent late. Prior management had billing issues but rectified quickly. Mission Rock the current management completely fine with making me pay the overcharges month after month. I have never made a late payment, and yet the management continues to ignore my requests for a resolution to the incorrect billing/wrong charges. The prior management was always setting fun events for the community and took good care of the facility. The current management is probably the most unresponsive and non-engaging I have seen. read more

I've lived here for 5 months. I lived in shortly after the new management took over. I have really enjoyed living here. The office stay out of the way and they provide random acts of kindness! For example, they have provided a Halloween costume contest for dogs, a Christmas paper wrapping station, and they have always been nice to me and my neighbors. It's a quiet complex and everyone is nice. The dumpsters get a little over filled on the weekend and trash is laid out near the dumpsters which is gross. Overall, I like living here and would recommend to a friend. Also, they have the most beautiful hot air balloons across the street that take off every morning! It's pretty cool! read more

We have lived here for the past year and it's been one of the best experiences we've had. We have lived in a lot of the luxury apartments in the area and this has been our favorite hands down. They actually have useable amenities and the office staff has been incredible to work with. They are always very helpful and understanding. Katie especially has been very professional and extremely on top of it. It is a very family oriented complex - our children love it here. The only complaint we have had has been the gym which would benefit from a smith machine, some barbells and a real stair master. Overall though living here has been great and it is the first place that we will most likely be renewing our lease at. Thanks for making it such a great community! read more

RUN, do not walk, past this one!! It's 1:30 am and I've been listening to my neighbor next door snore since 8:30 - not the the first time. While it may be considered on the "luxury" apartment scale, the builder/developer spent more time, money and attention on amenities and it's all lipstick on a pig!! Construction is weak. You hear everything your neighbors do - every step to include floor board squeaking, interior doors closing, toilets flushing, showers and washers running and even talking. To make matters worse, we are in a lower unit and the tenant above comes and goes at all hours of the late night and early morning. I won't even get into all of the drama we encountered related to the upstairs neighbor. The favorable reviews on this site have got to be mostly from those that live in upper units. Then there's the resident who has a muscle car with a really loud engine who likes to start it remotely from his apartment in the late evening/early morning hours and lets it idle for over five minutes before he gets in and drives off - that happened this evening in addition to the snoring neighbor. We were only here on a short term lease and are moving out this weekend, thankfully. If we had signed a longer lease we probably would have broken it - it has been the most unpleasant and miserable living experience we've ever had. read more

When these apartments were under Ascend on Cave Creek I LOVED living here. It was spectacular. Didn't have a single complaint. It was such a pleasant year. Then, I foolishly decided to renew my lease under the new management - Senita on Cave Creek - under the assumption that the high standards and lease stipulations would still be strictly enforced for all within the community. Sad to say, I was VERY wrong. As soon as I renewed my lease it started going downhill. There has been dog poop left on the ground and CONSTANT dog barking - I'm taking about HOURS on end any time of the day and night - DESPITE Phoenix's Noise Ordinance and the quiet hours stipulated in the Lease Agreement. Management has not provided a solution and it has been a couple months since they have been made aware of the issue.THE ONLY thing that has been consistent is the stellar maintenance staff. They are always professional, kind and working hard. It is 10:30pm at night and as I write this review I am hearing barking -and I'm sure I'll be woken up to it at 7am. Oh shoot, I better get some sleep while I can!! read more

Been living here almost 2 years, love our apartment. Lots of cabinet space in the kitchen and the appliances are great! Food trucks come twice a month and the complex has holiday party's. So No complaints on the apartment side. Only complaint is peoples kids. They let them run amuck and because of it some things were damaged I guess and now the community areas are only accessible during business hours. Don't see how it makes sense considering pretty much everyone works during the day. The community claims everything is under 24 hour surveillance and they can hold people accountable that way. So I don't see why a few kids had to ruin things for everyone. Other than that there are great walking trails nearby which is great. And the gym just got one of those fancy workout mirrors which I was looking forward to trying throughout the week but their hours don't work for me. Also side note but relevant we live on the first floor and have no complaints about hearing noises from upstairs. You hear a few things every now and again but nothing out of the ordinary for apartment living. read more

My girlfriend and I have been a resident at Senita for over a year now. We have had little to 0 complaints over our first year at the complex until a few months ago when we experienced very poor and lack of communication from both the Community Manager at Senita and the Corporate office of Avanti Residential. Each month at Senita, rent is due on the 1st. If your payment is not made, a $75 fee is assessed on the 2nd and then $10/day for every day after that until the balance is paid. In April, we paid our rent on the 1st just like we had done every month prior and I received the confirmation email from the portal that my payment was received and confirmed. Having a heavy finance background, I always track my bank accounts especially after rent is paid to see and make sure that the funds were pulled from my account. Typically after we pay our rent on the 1st, the funds are not pulled until the 3rd, sometimes even the 4th (up to 3 days later). So, tracking my bank account as I always do, the 4th of April came and the funds still hadn't been taken out so I thought I would give it one more day. The 5th came and the funds still hadn't been pulled so after work I stopped at the clubhouse to see what was going on. I talked to a gentlemen inside who told me there was an error when processing my rent payment and therefore it didn't go through. Resulting in $105 in late fees that were added to our account on top of our rent. I told the gentlemen that I never received any communication from the office that my payment was declined or that there was an error of some sort and that action needed to be taken. He stated that because they hadn't filled the role of Assistant Property Manager yet, that, that was the reason I was not notified of an error or decline. So, I asked that if there was an Assistant Property Manager then I would have been notified? I said yes. I asked to speak to the Community Manager but she was not in and the gentlemen advised that I send her an email regarding the situation; so I did that night of April the 5th. I never received any email back or call from the Community Manager regarding this situation. Close to a month later, I get an email from a now hired Assistant Property Manager asking to collect payment on the late fees that were assessed earlier that month. I reached out to her to explain the situation. She said that she would talk with the Community Manager, review and call me back with a resolution. None of this happened. I never received a call back from either the Assistant Property Manager or the Community Manager regarding this. I only received an email from the Community Manager stating that I owed the balance and that there was nothing they would do for me. So, I reached out to the corporate office at Avanti in Scottsdale just to see If I could actually have a conversation with someone regarding this situation. I left several voicemails, emailed the resident relations specific email several times stating that I would like to speak with someone regarding a situation at my property and no one has returned my calls or emails. It has been several weeks. Nobody here wants to help you or take responsibility when something goes wrong. If you have a complaint, issue, or problem, you can't talk to anyone about it, they will just ignore your calls and emails until it is time for them to collect your payment. But even then, they will just tell you that you have to pay and that's that. A very frustrating experience that still really isn't resolved whatsoever. Still have not heard from a single soul at the corporate office. Probably never will. Would NOT recommend read more

A true honest review of this place. Great location and quiet neighborhood. There is rarely a police presence and if so it's because officers live in the complex. The landscaping and common areas are gorgeous. There could've been some better planning on the amenities as it equates to the amount of residence here but that's on the builder not the management. Everyone kind of sticks to themselves and the trash valet is very convenient. If only some of the residents would be a little more aware of the trash bins and open the gate and toss their trash in the bin and not over the enclosure but that's anywhere you live or work. I love the management, The employees are a gem and very responsive to answer any concerns or requests! They also make it feel like home and greet you every time you walk in, there are many times I've even been approached after a jog with a water bottle in hand from the front office after they saw me walking in which makes it feel like resort style living! All reviews are typically biased on an individuals own experience but my experience here and my understanding of apartment and shared wall living here was great, I lived her for over a year and would've stayed longer if my job didn't move me out of town.
