When they came out to inspect the issue, they said it would be no problem to fix and that the issue should not recur. It cost about $400. Around a year later, the problem returned and I reached out to see if they could do some follow-up work since the problem had in fact recurred, despite their assurances that they had fixed it for good. They never responded to me despite 3 attempts on Yelp, phone calls, and voicemails. Rent Painters: Get your act together and learn how to respond to your prior customers. They promised a before and after portfolio that I never received, although we asked for it several times. My other issue is that the broke two pieces of heavy furniture/equipment and did not bother to let me know. My new king sized bed had a slat underneath to secure it and them just pushing the bed to move it the underwood broke. Same thing with my treadmill, they pushed it by the long hand grips and not the base which broke the arm of the treadmill. Again, no big deal for $5000, but a bigger deal for $9000:(

I was driving down Branch Ave. and saw a Roy's Painting van and took down the number. I can't speak on Roy because I only dealt with Ginger and she was pleasant. She was a little late showing up for my estimate but I didn't mind since I work night shift and it allowed me to sleep a little longer. The price she gave was $100 less than my first quote so I went with Roy's. The painter, Oscar, showed up on the date on time, removed his shoes and was very respectful of my house. He arrived before I got home and discussed the project with my dad before getting started. I was just getting off work when I arrived 30 minutes later and he kept the noise down since I was sleeping in the next room. The paint job was very neat with no paint dripping anywhere. I wanted the room, including the ceiling and doors to be painted blue and the trims all white. I deducted 1 star because he painted the baseboards white but all the other trims around the doors and window sills blue. It may have been a miscommunication on the part of my dad who told him, "She wants the whole room blue" and it doesn't look bad so it's no biggie. I would definitely use them again if Oscar is who would be painting.

If I could give 3.5 stars for the job itself, I would. First, the good - he was very responsive during the quote process, sent a good scope of work and contract via email, and used quality paint. He and his helper showed up on time, and were kind, courteous and professional. I really enjoyed chatting with both of them. The price quoted was fair and reasonable. In writing, Larry said that he'd be spraying the kitchen cabinet doors, which I preferred to brushing; however, there was no sprayer used for my kitchen. I let it go because the doors were not showing brush strokes but wanted to note because the job was not done as described. My second concern relates to attention to detail during the painting process. Some touch ups are to be expected (though, see below), but there was a level of sloppiness that I didn't expect from a pro. Primarily, they used spray primer along the base of the cabinets, which has left white spots along the moulding and in some spots, on the hardwood floors. And not taping has left some sloppy lines and paint on things like appliances and the backsplash. But all of this could have been addressed if Larry had come back for the touch up that was promised. I needed about a month between the cabinet painting and the touch up to take care of some personal matters, and Larry was responsive and confirmed the new date. Texts to re-confirm a few days before and on the day of went unanswered, as did a call. After a number of texts, Larry finally responded on July 28, the day after our scheduled appointment, and said he was having car trouble and couldn't get out to my home. I let him know it was fine, and to just keep me posted. I have not heard from him since then (over a month) despite sending additional messages.

Antonio and his team were professional, detail oriented, and easy to work with. Antonio responded immediately after I reached out and quickly stopped by to give us an estimate in person (which was very reasonable). The team was very careful in preparing for the work and they took extra precautions to make sure that the power washing did no harm to our house. They also were equally careful in performing the work, and their attention to detail was remarkable. We are thrilled with the end result, and we highly recommend this company for similar jobs. We definitely will be using Resolution painting in the future.

He was able to show me examples of his work and give me a quote on the spot. After he knew I was going with his firm, things turned a bit sour. I wanted to chat about a few things so he told me to call at 5 o'clock the next day. I called at 5 o'clock the next day and he seemed a bit irritated. So I asked him if it was a good time to talk. He said well if you want to talk with a toddler around. He was quite curt. He told ME to call him AT 5! The next day I reminded him he told me that I should call at that time and he was still complaining about talking with his child around. If you do not have a baby sitter do not ask clients to call you. I thought he would apologize for his rudeness, he didn't. Instead, I believed I was apologizing. Nuts. Then, I realized I had to remove two medicine cabinets that would leave holes in the walls that would need drywall patches. I told him about that and he said it would be $50 each extra just to do the drywall patches. Fine. Then a couple weeks later he said well are those the kind of cabinets that are hung on the wall or leave a hole when removed. I said there are holes. He proceeded to tell me then that that would probably be more than $50. So, if there are nail holes in the wall it's $50, but if there is a drywall hole it's more? I do not understand that. Mind you, I have emails where he actually wrote "confirmed" on items/clarifications to make sure they were included in the contract. I knew to do that because of the way his contract was written. Apparently, his contract only goes one way, his way. He states specifically that his contract is the entire contract: "Exclusions--Anything not mentioned in scope." I had in the contract to paint the outdoor shutters and white dry lock on the exposed cinderblock walls in the "downstairs laundry room." He's talking to me on the phone the day before, obviously not reading his own contract, and he says the shutters were not included, but he says that's okay. I reminded him they were in the contract. The next day when he goes to start work, he tells me the entire basement is not included. Mind you, he agreed to use dry lock in the "downstairs laundry room." There is no exposed cinderblock in the home except in the laundry room in the basement. He told me he didn't have the basement in any of his notes or video and he asked me if I remember going down there with him. I said I didn't remember. I reminded him of the cinderblock dry lock paint and he said well I assumed that was in the ground level - - so he didn't refer to his video that would clearly not show any exposed cinderblock above ground level ? Mind you, the contract states "Prep and paint all walls, ceilings, trim, and doors throughout the home." Well, he asked for an additional $2800 more. When I said no, it's just getting too expensive for me he dropped it to $2500 more (the contract was already ~$11,000). Mind you, he contracted with me to do the entire home. He reneged on his contract. What was I going to do? Take him to court? I need my home painted and I don't want someone to be forced to paint and do a bad job. Not saying that he would do a bad job, but I also needed it done as soon as possible. At a minimum, he should've owned up to the error. Instead, he tried to put the blame on me because I did not go in the basement with him. Seriously? If he had owned up to the mistake and given me a much better price, I probably would've gone with him. Mind you, his crew was already there and he had started putting paper down in a few rooms. He probably lost more money taking his crew away and losing a day of scheduled painting. I am just very disappointed. I think he probably would do a beautiful job, but I can't go with someone who changes the price while at the job. Is it my responsibility to walk into every room with him to make sure he has every room in his notes and video?

He walked through the rooms with me and noted which areas needed extra attention, including one very large loft with very high ceilings. His crew arrived early every morning and they were careful and considerate of my home. They moved heavy furniture I couldn't manage myself, and when the job was done, put everything back into place. During my final walkthrough, I noticed two small touch-up areas. Mario sent someone out right away to take care of it -- no hassle, no questions asked. I was extremely pleased with their excellent customer service and quality of work, and would recommend them without hesitation.
