The only words to describe the Yurt rental is "magical". Okay, I could probably come up with more…read morelike "amazing" or "private oasis" but you get the point. I am on a 5 week road trip/camping trip with my kids and we have been camping all over the PNW and CA. This has been my favorite stop of the trip and had I known it was going to be this magical, I would've booked a week instead of 3 days. The check in process was amazing. They give you the code and you go to your Yurt which is away from everyone else at the campground. You have your own little dock, backyard, outdoor cooking area, sunroom with a shower, and the Yurt itself is like a home/suite-like hotel room but in a Yurt. After a long day of driving, being able to just go to your room and walk right in, especially with young kids in the car, is such an added bonus. I've literally felt like I've had the place to myself these last few days and it's heavenly. Being away from it all means my kids aren't bothering anyone when they're out playing at 6:00 in the morning, and we've been sleeping like logs by 9:00 because it's so quiet --aside from the relaxing sound of water and birds. I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite place. It's so much better than the website depicts and I am absolutely staying here again. I imagine this place books up rather quickly. I got lucky and booked it 7 months ago with no problems. You can kayak (included) to Siltcoos lake OR the ocean. The added gate to keep kids in and away from the dock is such a thoughtful touch and kept my anxiety at bay knowing my twins wouldn't wander off.

This was a horrible experience, both because of the cramped bottom-of-the-line, loud and creaky RV…read more(Thor) and its owner. The owner harassed us with threating and angry e-messages and told us on the first day of our vacation that he was keeping our deposit even before he'd assessed any possible damage. This was very difficult for us and nearly ruined our vacation. Even though we had meticulously cleaned the RV and returned it in better condition than we received it, the vendor decided that because we had gone to an area that had the potential to be dusty, but was not prohibited by the contract, his normal maintenance needed to be moved up by some unknown amount and that we should pay an extra $1,200 for the replacement of all engine fluids and clean the entire plumbing system. The RV was operated on dusty but well-maintained roads for approximately 4.5 hours and then parked in its designated space for a week; there were no dust storms. These are not the serious conditions that would justify such a drastic solution. I could see replacing an air filter, but replacement of all engine fluids and the nonsense about the plumbing were no more than gross exploitation. The owner simply found a way to force a customer to pay for his routine maintenance.

I would not recommend Roberson RV based on my experience…read more There were clear issues with both the walkthrough and the condition of the trailer at delivery. During the orientation, the technician could not confirm whether the water heater was on or off, he didn't know which position meant what on the switch. I later discovered he had left it on while empty or filled with antifreeze, and it had been cycling for several days before I caught it. That is a basic oversight that could easily lead to damage, which I won't know until my area is above freezing. More serious was the complete failure of the 12V charging system from day one. After bringing the trailer home and leaving it plugged into shore power, I returned to a fully discharged battery. The converter was not charging the battery at all. The battery had dropped to 11.9V and remained there for an extended period, which is widely understood to cause permanent damage in AGM batteries. I thoroughly documented the issue with video evidence, including voltage testing and isolating the fault to the converter. Despite this, I was not offered a reasonable or practical solution. The only options presented were multiple long-distance trips back to the dealership, totaling thousands of miles and significant time, or waiting 6+ weeks for a more local service center to diagnose something that had already been clearly identified. At that point, I had no choice but to purchase and install a new battery and converter myself, out of pocket, just to make the trailer usable. After replacing those components, everything worked immediately. This situation could have been avoided with a basic pre-delivery inspection and a willingness to work with clear diagnostic evidence. Instead, I was left to resolve a brand-new equipment failure on my own. It's also been 3 weeks since I purchased the camper and my DMV has not received paperwork from Roberson to allow me to register and use the RV. I highly advise avoiding them at all costs, I should have read the other reviews sooner.
