When the pain kept getting worse, I finally inspected the chair more closely and saw the gas cylinder didn't look like what should be on a genuine Knoll product. The gas cylinder clearly has a made by KGS Co., Ltd. marking on it. So I called the store to confirm whether the chair I bought was actually authentic and not Frankenstein'd, the sales person who sold me the chair, answered the phone and Instead of actually addressing my concerns, he acted like I was imagining things and insisted that it's a Knoll chair because it says so on the back. He then proceeded by saying that they don't take returns on used items as they're sold as-is, but will check with his manager. He called me a few minutes later stating that they would make an exception for me and take it back for a store credit only with a 20% restocking fee. In other words, they won't stand behind what they sold, but they will charge me to hand it back to them. I asked for the manager to call me, and - a shocker - no one ever did. Zero follow-up. Zero accountability. If you care about product, authenticity, being taken seriously as a customer, are getting basic professionalism, look somewhere else. This was a complete waste of time and money.

I had a birthday celebration. I went in to purchase (number) balloons 3 & 4 once arriving home the 3 popped. I called and they said to come in and they would replace it. I went back and got the new balloon. Once arriving home the 4 popped. The balloons were NOT close to anything that would cause them to pop. They popped from the inner seal. At this point I was frustrated. I called party city/ staples and they told me it was a one time courtesy to exchange the balloon so nothing could be done for the second balloon. I was disappointed but still needed a 4. I drove to my local dollar tree and just bought it there. I definitely appreciate the transparency and the one time courtesy. As a customer we are not always right however I would have appreciated if they would have verbally communicated their policy on balloons and exchanges at the time of purchase. We stayed in the parking lot for about five minutes and then saw a man leave the store with a Needoh advent calendar. When we went back inside, the employee was no longer at the register, but she saw us and came out from behind another counter. She pointed toward an area and mouthed "Needohs" to the employee at the register, then went back behind her regular counter. Based on what we observed, it appeared that Needoh products were being held aside rather than being made available to customers. Whether they were being held for other customers or for another reason, the interaction left us feeling that we had not been given an honest answer. What made this especially disappointing was that I was there shopping with my children, not trying to buy inventory for resale. Seeing other customers leave with the products immediately after being told they weren't available was frustrating and upsetting for my kids. I understand that inventory can be limited and that stores may have policies about high-demand products, but customers should be given accurate information and treated consistently. This experience was very disappointing.
