And they told me how I can clean them myself. I really appreciated their time, and how they did not unnecessarily charge me to deal with my "problem." Work was done in 5-1/2 days of the 8 days available for me. Communication was both ways, making sure I knew what was going on and me asking if certain things could be worked into the project.

He set up a schedule and his guys have never missed a date. The yard is well-taken care of and I don't ever have to worry about them not showing up. A few weeks ago I installed security cameras and today was the first time I could watch them in action. They were EXCELLENT! Everything that needed to be done was done. They didn't waste time and I was surprised by some of the things they did because it would be something I would do, but wouldn't expect of a lawn service. I found them via another app and they have an excellent rating so I submitted a quote request. They called me soon after I requested the service on Jan 13th and Kainoa came out the next morning to look over my job and provide a quote which I accepted. He said they work in Kailua on Thursdays so we scheduled for the following Thursday, Jan 20th (today). This morning I realized he didn't give me a time frame so I texted him at 11am and he said they had to "fit me in" but they would be here "for sure" "around lunch or a little after". He sits they would definitely call me before coming out. At 4pm they still weren't here but before I could contact him, he called me to say they were running late and wanted to reschedule me for tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, I won't be available tomorrow and didn't feel like having them come over to do work for the first time without me here. Can't comment on their level of work but being a pretty much "no show" and late call to follow up is no Bueno in my book. At least they called but just way too late to do me any good... just wasted my whole day.

I've had Landscaping work done a few times since I've been a homeowner (23) years and I can tell…read moreyou that it's very hard to find a landscaping company that follows through, communicates regularly, has reasonable prices, and actually does excellent work. Luckily, I came across Cary who is the owner of Takenaka Landscaping who actually does all of the things I just mentioned. On my most recent dealing with Cary, he was very prompt when responding, came out right away to assess my yard, and took care of my yard issues (leaking sprinkler/plant issues) right away. I had contacted several other companies just to price around and I ran into all kinds of issues with them. Some didn't call back, some wanted to charge me just to give me an estimate, and one company that was going to fix my leaking sprinkler cancelled on me the day that they were supposed to come out for the job. In the end, Cary promptly addressed all of my yard issues. I highly recommend Takenaka Landscaping if you're looking for a landscape company!
