This is definitely my neighborhood Ace Hardware store!!! I come in for everything from nuts and bolts to clotheslines and pins to US postal services!! Everyone here is knowledgeable and friendly!!!! Ace Hardware is also pet friendly! They give my dog treats and took his picture for the dog wall of fame!!!! read more

Always promptly greeted at ACE hardware. A much smaller hardware store compared to other chains. Easy to find something, but the employees will usually ask and point you to what you are looking for pretty quick. You don't have to do searching for an employee. Someone in a red vest is usually near and ready to assist. This location has limited onsite USPS services, maybe some popcorn popped, key duplicating services and propane products. read more

Went to this location on may 12, 2024. ask to have keys made. The kid ask assistant manager to help. He cut my keys and when I put the key in the ignition it got stuck In the ignition. Had to call locksmith to the tune of 285.00 to get key out of ignition. The key was cut wrong that's why it got stuck it screwed up tumblers. If you don't know how to cut keys then take sign out of window. Oh and they do not guarantee their work. Do I paid them 63.00 to cut the keys. Very disappointed with this location. DO NOT GET KEYS MADE AT CINNCINATI DAYTON road. read more

First I need to take pictures during my next visit. I have been using the ACE hardware for nuts/bolts/shipping and random home items for years. The usually have fresh popcorn made that is available for free about 20 feet inside the door. They are all very nice and I have only had to wait on a few things over the years. They also have $10 propane fill ups on Tuesdays (if I remember correctly), you just can't beat this price. They have the largest selection of nuts and bolts in the area even chrome stuff. You would have to try hard to find better somewhere else. read more

I went to Ace instead of Lowe's or Home Depot because I needed help buying a trimmer. This store has terrible customer service. Three male employees completely ignored me while they helped men that came in after I did. They actually did help one woman, who also came in after me, but she had a giant dog. read more

It doesn't require two hours of searching through a huge warehouse store to get a pipe or switch or tile grout. Staff is knowledgeable and easy going. All in all a great place to get what you need. read more

This has been our go-to hardware store for some time. It's not a massive operation like Lowe's, but every time my husband has needed something in the way of small tools, painting supplies, gardening supplies, electrical gee-gaws, they always seem to have it, and if they don't, they will give you some guidance on where else to go. I like that. There's always sufficient staff around and they have consistently proven to be knowledgeable. I've often heard a staff member share his own experiences with a product in helping you make a buying decision. They offer a blade sharpening service here, as well as screen repairs. However they do send these items out, so there can be a wait of a week or so. They will be honest with you as far as how long it will take until your item is ready. There is also a full-service US post office outlet inside the store. This Ace store definitely has that friendly, neighborhood feel, and for those of us who don't really relish browsing in hardware stores as a rule, you'll be pleased to see some unusual offerings such as classic candy bars, unusual brands of soda, and I even grabbed a pair of touch screen gloves I saw for only $3, and they worked great this past brutal winter! To think I had almost dropped nine bucks on something similar online! Last time we were here, I saw an adorable cat shaped outdoor planter, which of course we really didn't need but it was so cute! It was marked $15 and one of the salesmen saw me admiring it while my husband was about to check out his purchase. He said, "oh those are going on sale tomorrow for $9.99; if you want it I'll give you the sale price now." I wouldn't expect that from Home Depot! PS: yes we did buy the cat planter. read more

West Chester location/CinDay road is great; keeps product stocked well and very helpful on the floor

I needed a key cut for my Honda and an employee at a store near my house (20 miles away) told me that I had to drive to the Ace in West Chester to have it cut. When I arrive the employee tells me that they have to have two managers in the store to cut that type of key so, I have to make an appointment for Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. I make an appointment for the next day (Monday). I drive all the way there again and the guy tells me that he won't cut the key because, it wasn't purchased there after the TWO previous employees said that cutting and programming the key was not a problem! Everyone should just save themselves some time, money, and WASTED TRIPS by just going to Lowes!!! read more

This is a great local hardware store - Can always find specialty items like deco screws or custom grass seed which the big box stores don't carry. Owner/Manager is always there and ready to help with advise and options. Having an on-site post office is certainly a plus and the free popcorn a treat. A great way to support our local merchants and get personalized service and the items you need. Also a good place to stop and browse on a rainy day. read more

Well, in the past I have given this location a huge thumbs up for helping customers finding odd ball things, but today the manager was EXTREMELY rude and and unprofessional when I came to buy a dog registration. They were busy and I patiently waited in line for my turn. Once it came my turn the cashier was not able to help and called the manager who told me I was going to have to wait until the line cleared for him to process the sale. There were at least 10-15 people behind me. In turn I commented I waited thru the previous line-- he comments "Do you want me to answer that in a business sense or a personal sense?" Well-- no business from us anymore if you don't consider be a customer!!! read more
