My garage door wouldn't open or close. My practice is to get three estimates before hiring anyone…read more Prior to Anthony and his partner coming to my house, another company showed up to give me an estimate . The first company rep told me I needed some very expensive repairs. Nothing he said sounded right. After he left, Anthony and his partner came. By the time they arrived the garage door was functioning again. Anthony told me what may have caused the problem and educated me on some things regarding how the garage door mechanisms function. I was so relieved that it wasn't anything serious, that I just couldn't let them leave without doing maintenance on my garage door. The price for the work was fair and completed quickly. Anthony shared with me how often I should do maintenance because I hadn't had any done in 8 years! The previous person who came out was trying to scam me out of hundreds of dollars for work I didn't need! I know this is a long review but I wanted to share how grateful I am for Anthony's honesty, integrity, and the education he gave me regarding my garage door. I will be contacting Steve's Budget Garage Door Repair for all my future garage door needs! Thank you so very much!!!

That was the third time I called them in the past 15 years and they have always provided us with great and honest customer service. They did not come out this time and instead helped me fix this in 5 minutes. They could have charged me to fix the door but instead saved me a lot of money. I wish more businesses were like Garage Door Doctor. I am not surprised they have over 700 reviews. They probably don't need another 5 stars review but I really wanted to share the great experience I had with them.

We figured it would stop working completely before long, so we contacted a garage door company we'd used previously to see if they could repair it. They looked at the panel and said it was too old to replace, and that the door itself was in bad shape. They strongly recommended a new door and motor (they said the motor had to be replaced because of a new law passed in 2018, even though ours was from 2015). The guys seemed nice enough, so I believed them. But I wanted a second quote. ABC Garage Door came out next. I didn't mention anything about the first company. Jaime, the owner, looked at the situation and said I didn't need a new door, just the one panel reinforced. I asked, "No new door?" He said, "Well, if you want a new door I can get you one, but you don't need one." He came back the next day and reinforced the panel in 30 minutes. It runs perfectly now, no more clunking. Oh, and the first company followed up with a quote for a new door, still steel. The price? $16,500!!!

I called a couple of places, and one company told me, without seeing the door, that it was likely a circuit board issue (based on the error code) and they wouldn't be able to fix it until after the Labor Day holiday. I called 5H, and after talking through the issue, he was at my house within an hour. Turns out it wasn't the circuit board at all, it was a broken spring. He got to work right away, and everything was repaired and working perfectly within an hour. The price was right, he gave me some great maintenance tips, and he genuinely went above and beyond. Great service from start to finish. 5H has my business from here on out. Highly recommend!
