And this particular mall is one that is nicer than most in this category. Accessibility is good and there is plenty of parking. The restaurants and cinema make it a particularly nice attraction. The retail also fits our proclivities very well with nice specialty shops . There's a Trader Joe's and some other favorites like Old Navy, Carter's, Michael's and Von Mauer. I literally had to wait outside of two different stores for someone to either come out or notice someone in a wheelchair was trying to get in. Also, way too little handicap parking places! I feel at least 80% of the spaces down the middle corridor should be handicapped parking. Those without a different capability can park in the lots around the perimeter of the mall. Another point, sloped ramps are too steep to wheel yourself up and the turn radius of ramps isn't sufficient for wheelchair users. Pained Tree and Marshals are the only stores with auto doors, wide aisles and ease of maneuvering once inside. Be better, don't just do the bare minimum for ADA compliance...ask people who have different capabilities how your mall should look and how you can be better.

Earth Adventures only does a few things; one of their newest classes that is offered is an emergency preparedness class. This is better than what the Red Cross-offers. Mixed feelings about my recent shopping experience here. I came to Dick's Sporting Goods a few…read moreweeks ago for a few reasons: 1) I needed some new swim trunks. There is a heated pool in the hotel I am staying and darn it, I was going to use it! 2) my brother needed new sneakers 3) we both needed new gloves. We both had a pair but needed one that allow you to text message. Why? The company I work for, which also had just hired my brother use an app on your phone to give you access to enter through the doors. You better be able to touch your screen of you won't get in. Problem is... if it's cold as heck you don't want to take off your gloves. I easily found the swim trunks... a bit pricey for my taste... $40. We went to the shoe section and got my brother a new pair of sneakers that comfortably fit and were reasonably priced. We were helped by the employees manning that section. Gloves... that was a nightmare. Finding the section wasn't easy and required me to ask someone for help... when I got there that section was a mess. Took me 30 minutes to find the type of gloves we were looking for and in our size... ridiculous. If they had all sections of their store as well managed as the show area... this would be at least a four star review. Still since I am finding my way around the area if I need winter clothes or shoes... I may find myself here again.
