The pricing initially seemed reasonable and within our budget, but once my sister-in-law received the official quote, the price suddenly jumped to almost double. One example that really stood out was the delivery fee. When I originally went in for the quote, I specifically asked if they offered delivery, and she said yes, depending on the ZIP code. I gave her the event ZIP code, and she told me delivery would be $15. However, when my sister-in-law later received the quote, the delivery fee had somehow become $65 for the exact same ZIP code. That was definitely something that caught our attention because ZIP codes don't change. We completely understand that pricing can vary depending on arrangements and event details, but the inconsistencies in pricing without much explanation made the experience frustrating and unfortunately turned us away from booking. I went here in search of flowers for my wife. Ace is a small store front off of Dairy Ashford. It isn't the most appealing place inside or out, but their selection of flowers is quality. I am surprised by the reviews on Yelp and luckily for them, I didn't check before going. My experience however, was pleasant. I asked a woman working there for recommendations based on the reason for the flowers. The bouquet was absolutely beautiful. It's a bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it. I had to have same day flowers delivered to a funeral home for someone and they were delivered on time. The only thing I would suggest is they should think about putting the "notes" on a ribbon instead of a card like some floral places since we are playing a good price for the flowers. That would probably make their service better. Ribbons are cheap and can make flowers look even better. read more

I have used this place out of my own ignorance and would not recommend this flower shop. I have had multiple advanced pre-orders, and they were not delivered on the days promised, one no show, and rude services from the same employee. If you make any attempt to hold this one employee accountable, she is rude, threatens you to cancel orders, talks over you and will not accept any accountability over their own mistakes. This employee will blame you for her inability to fulfill customer pre-orders. Unfortunately, I have been too busy to look for an alternative flower shop, but it has come to that point. Worst experience from this place. Wife had called in an order few days prior to picking it up. The day before picking it up, she called again to confirm. A younger girl working there confirms the order and my wife states that we would like to pay cash. She said that was fine and the order would be ready. I get there to pick up the order the next day and it's not ready. I called the wife thinking it's the wrong place but it was the correct place. After speaking to the lady at the counter, she asked if I had an order number. My wife calls the store to explain what she ordered. Then they tell us if we didn't pre-pay, they don't take the order and no order number was created. I asked if that was explained to my wife and they said they did. I told them that if it was clearly explained to my wife, she would have just paid by credit card. She goes on to say that she heard the employee taking the order explain the policy to my wife the day before. Later she says she wasn't the one who took the order because she wasn't working. Then how does one hear the other employee explain to my wife the policy?! My wife and daughter both remember the conversation since it was on speaker phone in the car. She never stated that. Fine, now we have to wait 20 mins for them to make it. No apologies for dropping the ball but just kept saying it was our fault. This is when I got upset and kept asking her if it was clearly stated to my wife. Not once did they apologize for it or even own up to their mistake. Just keep blaming us and making up excuses. I think that was the worst part of the whole situation. Very poor customer service. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, not only were the $100+ flowers I ordered for mother/grandmother significantly different than the image shown, most of them were straight up DEAD, like shriveled, dried, and crispy, dead. My cute as a button, zero complaints mother wrote "dead flowers" when she signed because she was so shocked. When I called to remedy the situation no pick up. Absolutely shocked that a business of this low quality and unprofessional nature could stay in operational. My mom and I went in Saturday afternoon to get some flowers for my sister's graduation. We told one of the ladies that we were looking to spend around $20. She said we could pick out a half dozen roses, some daisies, and some carnations. We picked out yellow roses and initially we wanted purple carnations but they didn't have enough so she suggested we pick out another color carnation and she'd get some purple daisies. We picked out light green carnations and light green carnations with purple trim. She arranged the flowers with some greenery while we waited and the outcome was beautiful! I paid nearly $200 for mothers day flowers. They work nearby where my parents live so I ordered online (I'm in NYC). They would not give me an estimated delivery time (which was no big deal). However, they called to tell me 1 hr before they closed that they were out of the flowers necessary for the arrangement I requested. This is some United Airlines *ish. Why sell flowers you don't have/have enough of? If I had paid 20 bucks I would not have cared, but I gave them the payment I gave them because I wanted the arrangement I paid for. Update: called my mom. She never got the flowers. I asked the company to leave the flowers at the door if my parents did not answer. My parents were home all day. I placed an order for flowers on 9/21/2021 for same day delivery. Ace Flowers left a voicemail for me at 1:43pm stating that they cannot deliver same day and if tomorrow is good. As soon as I came out of all day meetings, I gave them a call as to why my flowers will not be delivered the same day. I waited for the lady to state as to why my flowers could not be delivered and she stated that they do not have delivers so it will have to be tomorrow. For the inconvenience, I mentioned that I should not have to pay the same price for delivery, since it is their fault my flowers will not be delivered to friend of mine that lost his family member. She became so belligerent and continued with her rude/annoyed/lack of care tone stating, "listen, we cannot discount flower for you and I said we don't have drivers". I stated, I did not ask for flowers to be discounted, but I am paying $15 for delivery and since it is not my fault and it is inconvenient, that would be fare. She continued saying, "listen, I called you and you didn't answer". I had to remind her that I never called her with a rude tone, nor will I be disrespected by her when I am the customer. I was confused as to why she started the conversation being rude, when it was their fault they could not deliver my order. There are too many other businesses in Houston to deal with people annoyed that customers are spending money with them. Never would I use them again. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Ace. The choice of flowers didnt seem very broad perhaps since it was close to Valentines day and "Roses" are the desired choice however, customer service was AMAZING. We were looking for a small outdoor arrangement for my fathers grave and Barbara was super sweet, patient and very helpful. She suggested that we select the outdoor vase along with reccommending the best flowers that last the longest for outdoors. I stopped by Ace Flowers on Dairy Ashford to inquire about a selection for an upcoming event. Upon entering the establishment, I was never greeted in person, but the receptionist was present behind the counter. I walked the entire store for more than 5 minutes and was the only person present. Walked up to the counter and stood their as she took her time to sort through papers. She was facing me the majority of the time and turned her back, but turned around. She had her head down but could certainly see me in her peripheral and still refused to make eye contact and legit ignored me. Remained standing their less than 5 feet away, starring at her and never did she see if I needed help. At this point I stood their for 6 minutes. The worker ask her in Spanish to see if I needed help and finally she turned and rudely asked if I need something. I was so shocked by the mistreatment that my response to her was, "well I'm just standing here to stare at you?". She proceeded to reply ," I'm asking you-do you need something?" I was completely mind blown and said don't worry about it- thank you. Never will I recommend them to anyone. As a business ambassador in West Houston, I'm utterly disappointed with the situation and will make sure my entire professional and personal network will stop using their services. It's disheartening to know that this is how they treat their customers as they appear to be in a downturn financially. I'm sure who has control over the establishment, but it's obvious that she needs more training on how to properly greet people and make them feel welcomed. read more

I didn't like a little detail (a big red daisy) on the bouquet that I picked and she was gladly fixed it ( she changed it into two red roses, she asked me what color I want and if I wanted 1 or 2 flowers) and even gave me a discount. If you want flowers delivered, I strongly advice against using this place. I ordered flowers for my girl on her birthday to be delivered to her job and EVERYTHING was wrong. First the young lady taking my order had a hard time getting the information correct. I made every effort to talk clear and plain but had to repeat the information several times. Once that was done she asked for my payment information which didn't go through because she got my zip code incorrect. We got pass that, but I checked and noticed I was charged twice for the order, then I received a text message from them with the wrong name for the recipient. Well I knew I needed to call back then. I called back and asked for the lady who took the order (Cynthia) and told here the name was wrong and also I was charged twice. Once we started talking I asked her to repeat the information (which I should have done initially, but I try to give people the benefit of the doubt that they are not complete idiots... My Bad!). Good thing I did because she had the address wrong as well! I asked her how she was able to get all this information wrong when we went over it and she replied "I couldn't understand what you were saying" REALLY?? I replied "maybe next time a client calls, you should make sure you have the right information before you send out something blindly that they have paid for". I work to hard for my money to waste it on a service like this. This was just ridiculous! You have been warned....
