Ordered a same day delivery for my mother-in-law who just finished radiation treatment. The same day option was not available online so they took the order over the phone. The flowers were beautiful, but for $70, we didn't get much. The driver did not deliver the chocolates and when I called to follow up it was too late for the driver to go back. I can't even give this place one star. WORST FLOWERS EVER!!!!!! I would go to Lexus flowers for the price. My husband bought be flowers while he was out of town. They were sent to our home and they were not what he ordered. I cried when I saw the bouquet bc of how awful it was. It had 4 red roses, half dead, carnations- which is a poor mans flowers, some half dead daisies- again, another cheap flower and tons of filler for $90.00. Rip off!!!!!!! I have given this place plenty of opportunities to do a decent job on 4 different occasions and they continuously disappoint and ruin what should be special days. 3 of the 4 deliveries were delivered a day after the delivery date. On the last order which was over $200 for two dozen red roses, the shop delivered 12 red roses on a small can. On every order, I call the shop and request that I see what is being delivered just to verify my online selection. Someone from the shop always tells me yes, let me take a picture and I'll send it to your phone. Not once have they they complied. They basically just ignore you go about delivering late or something less than what you ordered. When you call and inquiry why the order was delivered late or why the order was less than what was ordered, personnel argue with you, give you excuses and don't offer a resolution. You basically have to deal with it and you're left disappointed wishing you would have gone with a different shop. I would not recommend this shop. Go with a local shop that cares and tries to make your occasion somewhat meaningful. read more

I ordered a floral arrangement for my friend's birthday and had them delivered today. I selected the premium option hoping they would be even better! Unfortunately what my friend received today was NOTHING remotely close to the arrangement I purchased for her. I understand when ordering something online never expect it to look exactly the same as the photo which I completely understand, but this arrangement had absolutely no resemblance to the arrangement I ordered. I called the floral location confirming all the information and asking for reassurance that the arrangement will look SIMILAR to what I purchased online, the nice lady I spoke with said it will resemble the photo online but that was not the case. The flowers looked like I personally went through a garden and cut them myself and threw them in a vase. Not to mention they were lopsided! I called Ace Flowers asking to speak with the manager to help resolve the issue, hoping we could find a solution with why my friend got a completely different arrangement. All the manager offered me was 20% off, I don't want the discount because I don't mind paying for quality, I want the arrangement I paid for or at least something similar. Had I not seen it on her social media I would have never known it looked nothing like the flowers I purchased for her, I feel the photos online do not resemble the arrangement whatsoever and wish I would have gone with a different floral service. Horrible experience. Do not use this florist. I called when my daughter did not get flowers for her birthday . They claimed they called several times and left me voice mail message because they did not have gate code. (They never asked for it when I told them gated community so I assumed drivers had special code). This was a blatant lie. I had no missed calls or voice mail and I only gave them my number. She claimed to come see driver's log and explained it would show on my phone. Then they lied and said they left by door but my daughter could not find them. Another lie. Flowers are oh so fresh and prices are not out the roof. We stop for carnations here sometimes when we visit friends and family. They always make sure flowers are put together nicely and you can write and nice message on the little cards that you attach to the bouquets. Flowers are straight from Mexico Colombia and other places but for sure they are quite beautiful. It is also in our neighborhood which is perfect. read more

My fiance wanted to send flowers to my mom for her birthday, so he asked me to pick a florist. I picked Ace Flowers and also helped with picking the arrangement. He ordered the premium arrangement, the most expensive choice. I was excited about her getting them because the online picture of the arrangement looked beautiful, such where my expectations. Unfortunately reality was different. At first look, I was so disappointed when I seen the delivery lady with them. The flowers where seriously not fresh at all, the vase they came in was nothing like the picture and the ribbon was the cheapest they could possibly find. I was so disappointed at over a hundred dollars, I would definitely have done better buying the flowers from Sam's or Costco and would have created a much better arrangement for a fraction of the cost. Horrible. Avoid. There are too many good florists in Houston to use this severely below-standard shop. I ordered an $80 arrangement using Ace's online platform. My order was confirmed with a delivery date for that day. It was early afternoon and I was concerned the arrangement would not be delivered that day, which was important to me. I selected Ace for this specific reason--that it would deliver same day. Unbeknownst to me until the following day, Ace left a voicemail indicating its designer--or whatever they like to be called--left early for the day. Apparently, the choice I was presented with was: tough luck for you or accept a different, pre-made assortment. Why it didn't use my email address to provide this information is beyond me. Or my mistake for not checking my call log after the order was confirmed. I received an email the following day explaining the above and asking if I wanted the flowers delivered yet still. I plainly said yes and requested a discount. No email response. WTF? I tried calling the number provided on the email and I don't believe it's in service as it rang with a busy tone for twenty minutes. I sent another email asking for someone to call, which they did promptly. Still, nothing had been done! Seriously! They stated there would be no discount because they left a voicemail explaining that I could accept a pre-existing arrangement different from what I had ordered or go pound sand. I told them to forget about it and ordered from Sicolas Florist, which I should have done in the first place! An acquaintance sent flowers via Teleflora from Ace Flowers. I was not home to receive the delivery, and the delivery person asked the sender if it was OK to leave the flowers at the front door. The sender said "yes." I did not receive anything. The sender called to ask about the flowers, since I had not indicated receiving anything. I told this person there was nothing at the door, and living on a quiet cul-de-sac, it was not likely someone took it. A day later, my neighbor shows up at my door with my flowers (36 hours later). No note was left at my door, or door hanger indicating where the flowers were delivered. No apologies or offer of replacement were made to the sender. The flower shop specifically said the flowers were left at the front door -- incorrect. If you can't even afford door hangers or pieces of paper regarding where the flowers were delivered, get out of the personal services business. Update: The new manager of Ace Flowers, Irving, contacted me to understand what happened with the delivery and try to make amends. He seems very sincere in his attempt to improve the customer experience and make amends. I appreciate his outreach attempts and apologies. read more

I ordered Teleflora's "Madly in Love" bouquet for my mom's birthday, to be delivered to her office. What arrived was...not at ALL what was ordered, and entirely unacceptable, given that I checked the box on my order form, reading, "No, florist may not substitute similar vase/flowers." Instead of an arrangement consisting solely of red and pink roses in a red vase (my mom's favorite color), I received a handful of pink and peach roses, with more alstromeria and fern than roses, in a yellow vase. I'm sorry guys, but I paid for a much more expensive arrangement than I received, and this wasn't even close to what I ordered. I called the florist and he said he would replace the bouquet he originally sent with the correct one. True to his word, a second arrangement arrived later that afternoon, but again, it wasn't anything CLOSE to what was ordered. It was worse. Broken flowers. Crammed into a clear vase. I called up and placed an order for a bouquet of 1 dozen multi color roses. I asked if they could include a box of chocolates, which they did. Because I walked in there the other day to get flowers for a friend and they were super helpful, friendly, they had a huge selection and the blooms were big and beautiful. Horrible delivery. Paid $22 for delivery of $78 flower arrangement to Recipient and the flowers were left on the front porch while the Recipient waited inside for the delivery requested after 2:00 pm. No door bell ring, no door knock, no phone call. When I called the Recipient at 7:00 pm and asked if the flowers had been delivered to her, she said no. ACE Flowers delivered them to our front porch instead. The flowers would have sat outside all night had I not called ACE Flowers after 7:00 pm asking where the flowers were. We were both shocked ACE Flowers would leave a $78 fresh flower arrangement setting outside on a porch for a dog to chew on or pee on. Never ordering from ACE Flowers again. Very angry. read more

On Valentines Day about 4 o'clock my boyfriend, who by the way loves out of town, called me and asked me if I had received flowers because he hadn't heard from me, I told him no. He said that he sent flowers to me that I should have received them by now, that he had been calling Ace Flowers and no one was answering the phone. He emailed me the receipt because at this point he wanted a refund. A refund of $145 at that. I began calling them at 830 in the next morning, I spoke to Ruta and explained to her what was going on, she said that she was only taking the information and that someone would call me back. I asked her who is someone, she said the manager I asked what was the manager name she said Jay, I asked what is Jay last name, she said that it did not matter. I explained to her that it did because I needed to know who would be calling me back. She was not helpful and VERY RUDE. She hung the phone up in my face. Really lady! I called back nobody answered the phone. I kept calling, at 1011 Maynard who works in marketing answered, I explained to him what happened and he was like that is not acceptable and apologized for her behavior. He said the flowers were on the truck at noon on v-day, not sure what happened, he said that he was going to print the record and give it to the manager. I asked him who the manager was and he said Barbara, but Ruta told me Jay. Jay is the owner who is hardly at the establishment. And that Barbara works from 2-8. Still hadn't receive the flowers, still hadn't received a phone call in regards to any thing regards to why I had not received the flowers. I called back at 1252 and spoke to Lizette, explained to her what happened, she was very apologetic, she said that she would process the refund and send out a email confirming the refund. At 630 my boyfriend had still not received the promised email, so I called again and spoke to Lizette, she said she called the manager and that they were processing it, still very apologetic and said that they would send me complimentary flowers for the inconvenience. I should have paid better attention to the other poor ratings for this company. Seems they have a bit of a track record of changing out things within the order so that you end up with a lesser version of what you tried to buy, yet the price remains the same. After they stated that they were going to remove the decorative container from the plant I purchased and replace it with a plain clear vase, I asked that they either alter the price to better reflect what they were offering to provide me with instead of what the website showed, or issue a full refund, they chose to refund the money and lose the customer. I have to agree with some of the negative ratings about your services. I ordered 2 Large funeral arrangements. Paid 376 for both. What i saw at the funeral home was nothing like in the pictures. They were smaller than standard size pictured and the flowers were of poor quality. One arrangement was already mostly wilted and falling apart. I don't know if this company thought just because i ordered from out of town that i would not see the arrangement?? I would never order or recommend anyone to order from here. This guy named Irving that said he is a manager ruined things for me last year before a neck surgery when I wanted to honor my Wife's Oncologist Office. He was beligerent, disrespectful, incompassionate, and downright insensitive/nasty with me. Despite it being the run-up to Valentine's Day (and them being accordingly busy), the staff at Ace was very helpful in assisting me with selecting an arrangement, and the recipient loved them! The only reason i knocked the rating down a star was because it appeared that someone left the suite number off of the delivery address i gave them, but even that ended up not causing any problems. Would definitely use them again in the future when i need to purchase flowers. read more

Ace Flowers will try hard to get you a finished product that makes you happy. You have to be very specific about what you want and also what you are willing to pay. If you go in and look at the flowers on display you will see that some of their designers are quite talented and others not so much. One of the things they struggle with is symmetry in their designs. Another is using high quality flowers. In the last month I have bought 2 arrangements on a tight budget. These flowers were get well gifts for 2 different coworkers who were hospitalized. Since we all chipped in I had to stick to $80 for the flowers (not including tax or delivery). I was pleased with both finished products. Prior to these recent experiences my husband and I have ordered flowers from Ace 2-3 times per year. Some good experiences and some could be better. My recommendation is to always ask to work with a manager. read more

Where to even begin with this awful place.... I ordered a flower arrangement from Ace Flowers to be delivered and the flowers that were delivered were HORRIFYING. First problem, I had to call them several times that evening and ask where the heck my arrangement even was and the bigger issue was THEY COULDN'T FIND THEM!!! After an hour of searching down my flower arrangement, the driver finally dropped them off.......My flowers were delivered with NO water and the white hydrangeas being wilted in the arrangement, they didn't even get to the recipient until 7:30pm!!!!! Another issue, the roses were brown on the ends which is just unacceptable especially since I was informed in my order confirmation that substitutions might occur in the flowers so that this exact problem doesn't happen. This is quoted from the website... "Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color." I wish that the staff of Ace Flowers would have stuck to this policy and changed the dinky roses and hydrangeas in the delivered arrangement, especially since it was an expensive arrangement! I have received flowers from Ace Flowers previously that were beautiful, which is why I started becoming a customer, but this was very disappointing. A sales associate called to discuss the flower issue but when I asked for a refund she said the manager would call me back... needless to say no manager ever called back. SO BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! I ordered roses for my parents anniversary and the wrong color rose was delivered. When I called about it the next morning, I was told it was because they were out of what I had ordered. When I asked why I was not called to change the order I was given the run around. Not only were the wrong flowers delivered, they died the next day. I have now been trying for a week to get a refund for THIER mistake and all they will do is resend the flowers. The occasion has past. I do not want more roses. I have also been waiting for the owner/manager to call me and still have not recieved any contact. This is the worst experience ordering flowers I have ever had. I will never use again or recommend.
