I asked about diagnostics informing them that I had already performed my own diagnostics having owned a automotive shop in the 1990s but being 65 with disc degeneration from C3 to C7 along with my eyesight not so good anymore I needed some more capable fresh eyes on the matter with regards to the CEL & perhaps performing a smoke test & isolating a vacuum leak which was causing the Emissions system, specifically the purge circuit for the charcoal canister to fail registering with a code. I informed them that I had already ferreted it out with the TSB's & confirmed that the fuel filler neck had been replaced as per a warranty recall but that instead of a hard plastic Teflon vacuum line there was a fuel line in place which I suspect it was collapsing upon evacuation of the purge system "call". I also informed them that I had already replaced the fuel cap, the purge valve, with items from Amazon, & the dealer without the issue resolving itself. I also informed them that I had a iCarSoft along with a LAUNCH CRP, EQUUS 3140 INNOVA & an ACTRON CP9410 scanner tools & that I was able to read, clear & monitor in real time the issue with regards to the CEL. They came back & said they don't work on old cars.... Or that they quit working on cars that old a couple years ago. Which is just bullshit. If you go to their site Facebook page or otherwise, even their ad/advertisement shows a C Class, W203 car that they claim to have worked on which is exactly what my daughter's car is. They just don't want customers like me that know what they're talking about because they won't be able to take advantage of me & now they refuse to even respond to me over chat. I even gave them the chance to say just let me know that "I'm one of THOSE customers, & that you don't really wanna deal with people like me" but they're fucking cowards & therefore they're liars because they don't want to tell the truth. I wouldn't deal with liars if I were you .

I chose Great Motors because they are a smaller business with consistently high reviews and offered…read morea reasonable price compared to Sewell Subaru. I provided them with the diagnostic from Sewell, which clearly indicated that my vehicle needed a new AC condenser and both rear wheel bearings. After a week in the shop, I was informed that the AC was still not working and that my car had developed a new "screeching" noise that was not present prior to service. I later learned that instead of replacing the AC condenser, as the diagnostic indicated, they replaced the AC compressor. Great Motors then charged an additional $188 to re-diagnose the same issue, when it was their mistake that they replaced the AC compressor instead of the condenser. Their misunderstanding of the difference between these AC parts resulted in an additional hundreds of dollars!! Unfortunately, this experience left me with a car that was incorrectly repaired, unnecessary additional fees and concerns about both the accuracy of their work and accountability. While I wanted to support a local business, I cannot recommend Great Motors based on this unsatisfactory outcome.

The representative said someone must have hit it in their parking lot and they would check security cameras. It was clear it did not get hit. They "fixed" it and I picked it up. By the end of the day the same thing happened. I've been going through this multiple times. The fourth time it happened I told them to order a new bumper. Clips and tape would not work if the bumper is damaged. Multiple paint issues with debris and lines. The fifth time it has happened now again. There is obviously more damage underneath or improper alignment and repair. Do not trust. Edit: Victoria S. You had 5 chances to make it right and missed the mark each time. Nothing but absolutely, amazingly GREAT things to say about this shop! Jerry Hardman not only…read morerepaired the damage caused by a Midas employee who had accidentally backed my car up into a tree and metal post instead of pumping my brakes, but he also retouched the paint a-l-l t-h-e w-a-y a-r-o-u-n-d t-h-e c-a-r AND buffed it to a very nice shine without being asked. When I bought this 2001 Toyota Avalon XLS at a dealership in 2009, the bumper had tons of scratches on it. Now they're completely gone, my car looks MUCH better than it had back when I bought it, and I hadn't even asked for anything to be done to the bumper since it hadn't been damaged by Midas and wouldn't keep me from passing State Inspection! All of the work he did on my car cost m-u-c-h less than any of the 3 auto body shops' estimates I had collected. Jerry really cares about older cars and is a nothing short of a real metal artist/metal whisperer. He's been working on cars since middle school back when auto body shop was an elective in public schools. He was restoring a 90-year old car when I first visited his shop and he was creating the parts himself as they're no longer available through suppliers. One could say that Jerry might have what could be called as an obsession with perfection and a very keen eye for detail, which are highly sought after traits in this business, defintely. Jerry also ordered new pin stripes for my car and will put them on for free when they come in at which time he'll also paint the exterior passenger rear door handle, which came in factory-black color, that Firestone put on my car after accidentally breaking the existing one while they were replacing my door actuator on the opposite side of my car from where damage caused by Midas occurred. I highly recommend this shop!
