I stopped in the store in Ramsey to investigate keypad WiFi connected deadbolt locks. Rick was super helpful suggesting the right brand and model and even suggested that I purchase it directly and he would install it. WOW !! Very impressive locksmith. I have a 2015 Toyota Sienna (gen 2). The key fob battery only lasts about 5 years (see picture). The dashboard will alert you when the battery is low. Swapping out the battery on the key fob is a BFD - don't do it. There is a micro-spring inside of the fob which will fly out when you open it. Short story is do not try to swap out the battery on your own. It took Accurate about 10 minutes to reassemble the fob. Save yourself the stomach acid and just bring in the fob to Accurate & have them swap out the battery. read more

Went to get keys made, the guy said they were Medeco so they were expensive. Got 2 made and went to make sure they worked. Well they did not, par for me... went back and a woman was at the counter, I explained what transpired and she looked at the keys, and said "he" made the wrong cut...and redid the keys and said they should work. They did and all is well except for the hour I lost driving back and forth unnecessarily. I am a bit jaded right now since this is a licensed locksmith. read more

Moved into a new house and needed to have the lock re-keyed. I had this done on a previous time at another house with another locksmith and it was fast and expensive. When I called Accurate in the morning I was hoping they could do the work that day. They said they would try to fit it in at the end of the day and they were able to do it. Chris came to the house and explained that he would re-key the lock as I requested and make sure it was working the way it was supposed to work. Chris strives for perfection and I love his attention to detail. He explained the problems with the locks operation and he knew exactly how to fix it and make it work perfectly. The original parts were installed by the builder and his idea was good enough is good enough. Things were not lining up and this probably resulted in the mechanism breaking (my thought.) Chris machined out some wood to get it aligned and operating perfectly and replaced the broken parts. He had the tools and parts he needed on the truck so the job got done on this visit. The price was quite reasonable. The costs were explained well and the old parts were available so you know you were not scammed. His cost were below the cost from my previous experience. As customers for over 25 years, we called Accurate Security at 6:00 am because someone locked themselves out of our home while walking our dog. We were hundreds of miles away on business with no other alternative. We left an emergency message per THEIR instructions and continued to call for over 2 hours. When Denise Woelky finally answered the phone, she informed us that they do not offer emergency service, and had no explanation as to why their message stated that they do. She couldn't care less that we were in an emergency situation, or that we had been long time customers, or that we were misled by the answering machine message. She told us that her technicians already had work to do, and offered to put us on the schedule for after 5pm. She repeated, "they don't do emergency service." This is UNACCEPTABLE and I would NEVER use them again or refer them to anyone. Just horrible. read more
