While I was checking out, he laughed and remarked that my tires were "bald." As I was carefully exiting the shop, the same employee called out, "Yeah, make sure you don't hit anything on your way out!" and continued laughing. Whether intended as a joke or not, the comment came across as condescending. Getting vehicle service can already feel intimidating, especially as a woman, and one of the reasons I've continued coming here is that I've never felt talked down to or made to feel uninformed about my vehicle.
