Our business taxes were handled by a smaller firm for many years. A few years ago that firm was…read moreacquired by a much larger one. We saw the quality of our service suffer a bit while our invoices grew. We felt like we had become a number. This inspired us to research other options, which led us to Tehrani & Velez, LLP. We have a complex tax situation. Since we made the decision to take our business to T&V, our tax situation has been well under control. They have taken the time to understand the nuances of our specific situation and we have formed a positive relationship. We view T&V as a partner and we are confident in the advice they give us. Communication is very important to us. They are on the ball and easy to get ahold of. We are very pleased with our relationship with Tehrani & Velez, LLP!

I don't know why other people seem to be enjoying Tehrani and Velez, but I can only relate my…read moreexperiences: 1) I was never given a handoff from Gabe to the accountant working on my taxes, so I had no idea who to contact. 2) The new tax guy didn't tell me he filed an extension on my taxes. 3) The new guy was quite late in finishing my taxes. 4) Gabe himself was out of town the moment tax season ended, and was impossible to contact. 5) I was given poor communication throughout, and literally had to ask for someone to say the words "we're sorry" to me (they had no intention of apologizing on their own for poor service, communication, and organization). 6) Then I received daily auto messages to please review their services (okay! Here I am! Everyone happy?) 7) Then I told them I had a new accountant, and they sent me an offboarding checklist that literally includes the line: "Future Support: Take Note of Whom to Contact If Assistance is Needed: [CRS Accountant Name] [Insert Email Address Here]." In other words, I have no idea to to contact or how to reach them. ...This is completely in line with the communication I received throughout my time there, and a perfect capstone to my experience. I think they are probably competent at being accountants, but they fall short as genuine, communicative, actual human beings. Unfortunately. I am much happier with my new accountant. I do not recommend Tehrani and Velez.

I had been a loyal client of this tax company since 2017. Not only did I trust them with my…read morebusiness, but I went the extra mile to bring them to my brow classes as a special host, where they educated my students on taxes. Many of my students became their clients, which was great for their business--thanks to me. Fast forward to 2024, when I experienced a life-changing car accident. I had to pause their services temporarily because I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to work again, let alone pay for taxes. After a few months of recovery, I was ready to restart our services. But instead of welcoming back a loyal, long-term client, I was slapped in the face with an outrageous demand: my rate would jump from $610 a month to $995 and they insisted I prepay the remainder of the year and all of 2025--an insane total of $9,760! It honestly felt like they just wanted to fire me as a client. To make things worse, they marked my business as SUSPENDED after terminating me as a client. Oh and wait, when I asked to speak to the owner, Louie Vasquez, someone I had trusted for years, they flat-out told me he doesn't handle this anymore and I wouldn't be able to talk to him. After everything I had done for this company, they didn't even have the decency to let me have a conversation with the person I had worked with from the start. This company clearly doesn't care about loyalty, nor do they value their long-standing clients. They're more interested in squeezing as much money out of people as they can. If you're looking for a company that cares about you or your business--look elsewhere.

At the time, we interviewed a few…read moreaccounting firms near the Irvine area, and Mike struck us most as professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very responsive to our emails. One of the reasons for why we had switched from our previous accountant was the lack of communication. We also liked the fact that his father had been running the firm for a very long time and was knowledgeable in other areas we had questions about that Mike did not specialize in yet. We also appreciated that both answered our inquiries without nickle-and-diming everything, often at no charge for relatively small questions. During the years we have been with Weisz, our returns had been quickly prepared, and Mike always took the time to listen to our questions while we discussed topics like planning for subsequent years to maximize our taxable income, and -- on a personal level -- how both of our families were doing. My brother's family joined in the tax preparation a year later, and he has been with Mike ever since too. We have no regrets being with Mike.
