There was no way that I was going to be able to help husband get it downstairs. I called CDA Movers and they were able to fit me into their tight schedule. The guys were here for a little over 30 mins and it took quite a bit of work to get it downstairs and through the doorway. The guys were coming Wed morning (6/25/2025) to unpack and POD guys were coming the next day to pick it up, so a delay getting it opened and unpacked would cost extra moving guy money and costly delays with the POD itself. Lake CDA Movers prides themselves in opening troublesome POD doors and boy did they save our bacon by wiggling, shaking, and flexing the door until it finally stopped fighting and rolled up. JACKPOT!!!! That saved us from a NIGHTMARE of rescheduling. The guys (names escape me) were extremely helpful, professional, and even put my brother's bed frame together for him to save him time and effort. Gentle moving, without a scratch on anything. I can't recommend these guys enough. After the mess they saved us from getting the POD door open (who knew "open the POD bay door HAL" wouldn't work...), I'd give them 12 stars if I could. HUGE thumbs up. Definitely go with these guys if you are moving a POD with their problematic doors. They have MAD non-destructive POD door-prying skills to backup their moving abilities!!!
