He was scheduled to return on July 6 for a complete bilateral duplex ultrasound at 1:45 p.m. Unfortunately, there was heavy traffic on US-98 South, and it was raining. As soon as I realized we were running a few minutes behind, I called the office. The receptionist told me there was a 15-minute grace period and that we needed to arrive by 2:00 p.m. We pulled into the parking lot at approximately 1:49 p.m. My father is 85 years old, uses a walker, and cannot move quickly. While he was carefully getting out of the car, I went inside to let the staff know he had arrived and was making his way in. A couple of minutes after 2:00 p.m., the receptionist told me they would not see him. I explained that he was literally outside coming in as fast as he physically could. My father also suffers from prostate issues and has to urinate frequently. He urgently needed to use the restroom, but because he couldn't make it inside in time, he had to discreetly relieve himself outside using the small bottle he carries for situations like this. It was heartbreaking and humiliating to watch. Once he finally made it into the office, they still refused to perform the ultrasound. I asked to speak with the doctor. Dr. Friedman came out, but he also declined to see my father. I was devastated and extremely angry. After driving approximately 45 miles in the rain to get my elderly father to his appointment, he was turned away because he arrived just a couple of minutes after 2:00 p.m.--even though the delay was due to helping an elderly man with significant mobility issues safely out of the car. What upset me even more was when a staff member told me that if I didn't leave, they would call the police. At that point, my emotions got the better of me, and I responded with profanity because I felt my father was being treated without compassion or understanding. This was my personal experience. If you're considering this office, I encourage you to ask about their late-arrival policy and how accommodations are handled for elderly patients or those with mobility limitations, so you know what to expect.

Months two....three.... six went by and I called biweekly to be updated. Rarely they would return a call and I would need to call again. They continuously blamed insurance. Insurance assured me they were awaiting and lacking documentation. At month five they advised me that I should come back in to the office, which would have additional charges to be reassessed. Shouldn't they already have the same information and documentation from my first visit? Month seven we asked for a self pay price. They never responded to our message. Exhausted from this experience with them. They accepted my money for consultation and failed to follow through. Nobody knew "what was going on" and just that "insurance is processing." That wasn't the truth. I went to another Vascular Surgeon and I received the same treatment completion within 3 weeks and insurance paid for my procedure in full.

I have been going to Nova, now New Image, for a few years to see my girl, Beth. She is a master with a syringe. All these years, I've been getting botox in my forehead and occasionally around the eyes and her technique is one of the best I've experienced. (I've tried other locations in Orlando and NYC, and Beth is one of the best.) Looking at time "marching all over my face", I thought it was time to try a filler for my smile lines. So, today, 7/11/17, was the day to try it out. I went into the office thinking I wanted Juvederm but was told the Juvederm Voluma would work better for what I wanted to accomplish. Since I know Beth's work, I knew she wouldn't steer me wrong ... and she didn't. I was surprised at the difference a few injections within a few minutes could make. It exceeded my expectations and I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror. Who's that young lady in the reflection? Its me! Its meeeeeeeee! The front desk staff are also wonderful and very friendly. So, here's a shout out to Jonathan and Joy who make you feel welcome on the phone and as soon as you walk in the office! I think some people can be intimidated or embarrassed by cosmetic procedures but they make you feel right at home and put folks at ease. The dismissiveness began the moment he learned I was from Plant City, at which point he abandoned professionalism entirely and began name-dropping and referencing local beauty queens. It was bizarre, unprofessional, and insulting. He attempted to disguise this behavior as "providing truths" about needing a trustworthy medical team, yet most of his comments were thinly veiled criticisms of his professional peers. Following through on medical referrals is not mistrust of physicians--it is simply a patient taking responsibility for their health. Patients deserve honesty paired with compassion. Instead, I encountered arrogance wrapped in condescension and left feeling dismissed as a human being rather than supported as a patient. If you are seeking thoughtful, competent evaluation and education about your health, you will not find it here.
