As a drummer, most of my time is spent in the main room. The Hear No Evil team sets up sessions quickly while maintaining a positive atmosphere. My recording process has always gone smoothly. There are a wide range of instruments, microphones, and amps to choose from and the staff will help recommend what to use for the best result. If you don't believe that as well, it is because you reside in the shadows, where you belong. A bright star casts a dark shadow, and there you are. It's not completely soundproof, so you have to picc and choose when to record, especially if your neighboring rooms are bass heavy or burgeoning roccstars. there's no real common areas, so you're basically in your room all day, or standing outside. No place to put flyers or vibe and congregate to collab. No arcade games. Just rooms. Like I said before. If you just need 4 walls to jam, this place is good for just that. I found Marcos on Yelp to get the vocals done and the session went very smoothly. He got me up and running on the mic pretty quickly and 6 passes later we comped the best takes. Very happy with the results in his cool studio. Little did I (or he know) that we knew each other from bands from 25-20 years ago--we just hadn't recognized each other until we mentioned those bands. The audio engineer was very patient with my son and his friends. They were writing down lyrics for the rap AT the recording studio, while the audio engineer was converting his song on spotify into his protools. Great microphone. An the recording quality was great, watching him move around protools sop fast was hypnotizing. The mix sounded great and he was teaching my sons friend how to play different chords on the guitar. He also taught him how to solo. He has a great keyboard with many sounds including a really good sounding rhodes, clavinet, and piano. He shared a lot of wisdom and showed my son where to get protools and how to use it. My son and one of his friends rapped, and he was patient, giving them as many tries as they would like. he also added beat drops, and quickly mixed the song down. He airdropped it to me. My son, his friends, and I were overall completely satisfied with his performance, patience, swiftness, wisdom, and kindness. I highly reccomend this studio, and hope you will give it a try!
