Bad experience with receptionist personnel. Phone keeps dropping, and stressful experience for someone already in distress.

The check was to reimburse me back for past payments (that should have been covered)! My insurance company initially denied claims and coverage months ago. However Naomi continued being persistent to get them to honor and cover my exams with a minimum copay. She really went the distance - to assist me by getting back payments I was owed - as well as benefits for future coverage. The friendly staff at the Dallas office are all very nice, polite and professional! Before Foundation - I was in a Methadone clinic for several years after a pain-management addiction occurred. It was a miserable experience - my first counselor actually died from a heroine drug-overdose! I was treated like dirt by everyone but the nurse administering daily dosages ( which was a big hassle also!). Methadone is a horrible solution! Everyone has been very positive and knowledgable from Dr. Thompson to the entire team. Dealing with a narcotic addiction involves many physiological and physiological aspects and can be challenging and demoralizing - And expensive! Choose your provider very carefully and find kind, good and competent professionals like those at Foundation Medical. They are always available to help you and will work hard for a successful healthcare treatment program! They have improved the quality of my life!

The front desk workers are always kind and helpful. I've had a visit with all the doctors at some point. They are all very helpful and seem to really care about getting you better. They don't just write a prescription and send you on your way. They actually talk with you and try to find the best course of treatment. I had to take off a star because of the high price for a visit, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend this office.

ReNova changed my life! Here is my story:…read more 1. I tried AA, overall it was kinda cult like. I would not recommend it, especially if you are female. Women are constantly hit on, and NO person should have their boundaries compromised while trying to better themselves. More than half of the people that were in it with me have had multiple relapses, or they are no longer attending meetings. 2. In/Out-Patient: For starters, I know a lot of people that have gone to rehab, from family to friends of friends. Like with AA most of them have relapsed and have had multiple stays (40-60% relapse, 30% of people that go to rehab go again). I called a facility that offered out-patient (losing my job and spending 30-60 days away from my family were not options) and was yelled at with the person specifically stating that I "will not survive in real world if I do not do a 30-60 day detox". Umm..what? Why offer out-patient if you are only going to push in-patient and shame a stranger you have spoken to for less than five minutes?? I also believe that rehab facilities are more interested in making $$ based on research/what I have experienced. **I know there are some people that have experienced sobriety and sustained it with these programs, which I think is amazing and they should be proud of their accomplishment. However, stats clearly show that the traditional methods are not working for A LOT of people. 3. Third time was a charm with ReNova, and I am beyond grateful I have the ability to partake in the program! My first session with Mike was an assessment to see if the program would help me, and he was nothing but warm, inviting, and not judgmental in the slightest (nor has he ever been). There are two programs, one that is alcohol moderation and one is sobriety (I chose moderation). Mike works around your schedule, and while you do have to dedicate some time in the first part of the program, you're not putting your life on hold or making major sacrifices- i.e. you can attend sessions in the evening that won't put your job at risk, aren't spending a month or two away from your family/friends, and you bring your real life everyday stressors/triggers to your sessions and Mike gives you tools/coping mechanisms to work through those stressors so you don't resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms. After reading the book I was skeptical because it goes completely against what society says is the way to treat alcohol issues, but it is also why it works! You dive deep and address every contributing factor which is basically how our brain as the organ it is functions/responds to alcohol, not a character flaw or weakness as a person. Similar to a person with diabetes that can't help that their organs/cells don't function properly causing them to have issues with insulin production. I have almost completed the 12-week intensive part, and my life has completely changed. I no longer crave alcohol; when I do drink I drink waaay less than I used to and am well, "normal". My anxiety/depression is the most managed it has been for YEARS, my body feels healthier, and my friends/family say I am overall a happier person. The statistics show that what is being commonly practiced isn't working. I really hope the ReNova Institute programs become more widespread, it can help so many people struggling with alcohol.

ReNova is a 1:1 totally confidential process, no groups, no embarrassing 'confessions', no lifetime daily AA meetings. Most of the nurses are hateful and treat you like a criminal when you ask for your prescribed medications. The rooms are not deep cleaned between patients. The "common room" is a mess. The couch and chair have food crumbs in the crevices and are just gross! The meetings are more of lectures and there's not much input from the patients at all! They will tell you you can leave anytime you want to and that's true BUT if you don't go thru your counselor and just walk out they won't give you your medicine that YOU bought and paid for. You bring your own medicine but they hold it until they decide to give it to you. I was there 2 days and I called my husband to come and get me less than 48 hours after checking in and I had to wait for my medicine to be released. This place does NOT care if you get better or not as long as your insurance holds out. Find another place to spend your money if you want to get sober.

I scheduled an appointment ahead of time through the LabCorp website. Reading the other reviews helped me know this is the best thing to do if you don't want to wait a long time. Go to: www.Labcorp.com and make an account to schedule your appointment. Checked in at the kiosk by scanning my drivers license front and back. About 30 seconds later they are calling me back to get started. Fast, efficient, skilled, and professional. I didn't take pictures of the inside as it's on the 3rd floor of the Physicians Building and there were patients in the waiting room. I'm coming here to get my blood drawn from now on. Thank you all for making a usually stressful thing into an easy and painless experience.

I would highly recommend booking an appointment as I don't know how you would get seen otherwise. When I went, there were more than 20 people in the lobby waiting (enough chairs for everyone). You have to check in at a kiosk with your driver's license then you will receive a text saying they're almost ready to see you. The front desk staff member will call you to the window and ask you to verify some information. That process took a while but it seemed to be different for everyone. I arrived before my appointment time and had to wait 15 minutes. The phlebotomist said they were low on staff so they were scrambling that day. She was extremely nice and quick so at least that part wasn't bad. If I had a choice, I wouldn't go back to Labcorp seeing how busy they were.
