The phone had been working just fine, and I only wanted to be proactive in getting it fixed. Fast-forward three days after their repair, and the same lens is cracked again, despite no drops, bumps, or accidents. I took it back, assuming a business with "CPR" in the name might stand by their work. Wrong. They claimed the crack was due to a "puncture" and refused to honor their warranty, even though I had done absolutely nothing to cause damage. I asked what good a warranty is if it doesn't cover a repair that clearly didn't hold up, and they basically shrugged it off. Honestly, I would have been better off keeping the original, lightly cracked lens than paying for a replacement that failed within days. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I wouldn't trust this place with a phone case, let alone a repair.

Roman resolved all my issues within the hour, and took the time to sit down with me to make sure everything was resolved. Had Roman been the one to transfer my data (which he does for hundreds less), I wouldn't have had any issues had I hired him to do the job in the first place because he would have done it correctly. Before I go on, James at Unique Geek is an excellent worker who deserves nothing but respect, but unfortunately the owner has been there the last days and was totally unwilling to deal with a number of very serious issues in the new-old laptop I purchased from them for a rather hefty price, at least $150 more and Roman tells me $300 more than he would have charged me for an identical computer and data transfer. When I went back to Unique Geek after attempting to use my new-old computer, there were MULTIPLE serious dysfunctions with the operating systems which I had paid literally a fortune to have updated and prepared for an accurate and functional data transfer. My keyboard and spacebar were not tracking, and so there were bizarre spaces in my word processing. Also, such vital functions were totally unavailable, such as accessing an external hard drive, accessing my downloads, or accessing my desktop through finder without going through a 2 minutes process for something I need to do 100 times a day. Roman resolved my problem so quickly and was prepared, as well, to address the other issues. From here on out, he will be the go to IT person for my needs ranging from laptops to desktop setups.

When I got home, Windows was still on my old 1TB drive. The new 2TB SSD was just showing up as extra storage. I had to drive back, and they charged me another $145 to finally move Windows to the new drive -- for a total of $217.50. For comparison, another local shop quoted me $100 for the exact same job. When I questioned the price, the supervisor told me "my 12-year-old could install Windows on this computer," which really shows how overpriced the service was. When I picked up the laptop, the technician (Davis) said to me "I hope you don't feel swindled." That says everything. The work is finally done, but I feel significantly overcharged for what should have been a simple job. Would not recommend.
