From day one, he truly listened to our needs and gave thoughtful recommendations about what would be a good long-term investment versus what might end up being a money pit. He wasn't the type to push for a quick sale--in fact, he pointed out property damage and issues we might've missed on our own, which really built our trust. He stood out among all the other real estate agents we attempted working with. Thanks to his guidance and expertise, we ended up getting our top-choice home in just eight days! The process was seamless from start to finish. Even recently, when we needed to relocate, Peter offered to help us find renters and has continued to be supportive. We'll absolutely be working with him again when it's time to sell. As first time home buyers, we felt we got amazing value for the services provided. Highly recommend Peter and the Red Cedar Real Estate team for anyone looking for a knowledgeable, genuine, and reliable agent.

The best way to describe Peter and Red Cedar is high touch, white glove - concierge service. Peter knew the market and had a powerful team of equally adept realty professionals. Nothing happened without Peter's knowledge and he always focused on what was best for us: Initially meeting through closing. Here's where the professionalism goes to another level - Peter builds relationships with his clients, throws mixers, and checked up on us a couple of times per year. And, he DIDN'T ASK US FOR THE NEXT DEAL each time he subtly checked in on us over 5 years! He and his team cares about you - long term not just to get a sale. After 5 years of relationship building, we called Peter and the Red Cedar team for support. He came over. We completed representation paperwork, his AMAZING 360 degree Ariel and interior video/photography genius turned up and transformed our house into a buyer's beacon that sold our home within 24-48 hours of posting - FULL PRICE OFFER!!!! This is Red Cedar - all day long. After getting an offer, Peter and his team coordinate every document, appointment, and follow-up like a well oiled machine. The signing appointment was completely painless without any hiccups in the paperwork or payout - again, Peter and Red Cedar are professionals and the service providers (Ex. Title Company) were exceptional too. Thanks Peter and Red Cedar for your exemplary support, education, and caring over 5 years!

The level of experience, knowledge and the passion Pinkesh Gala has for real estate is what sets him apart from most real estate agents. Pinkesh Gala helped make a dream of mine come true and his professionalism throughout a LONG process is what makes this review easy to write. Anyone who is familiar with the NACA program knows that the benefits are out of this world amazing, but the process is not for the faint of heart. For anyone who is purchasing through NACA, the most important part of the process is finding a good agent who knows the ins and outs of the NACA process. What most will not tell you about NACA's amazing program is that after you get qualified, yes, there are NACA in house agents assigned to you. However, you don't get assigned an agent immediately which can cause delays in your home search. A few weeks after I got qualified, I did not have an agent and began to feel overwhelmed. I found a few agents online who have closed with NACA a few times, however I never got a response from most and some had crazy unexplainable fees. I discovered Pinkesh through Kris Fraley who I found on a NACA forum. The minute I was introduced to Pinkesh he was responsive and never missed a beat! And although I was not his only client, the level of attention he gave to my home buying process made me feel like I was a top client! We looked at several homes, and although I had high hopes for my dream home (really high) Pinkesh believed in my hopes just as much as I did! For every home I was interested in buying Pinkesh completed his homework, things I wouldn't have thought to consider or think about , he was always prepared and NEVER canceled an appointment for showings. Pinkesh's negotiation skills are top notch! In addition to NACA's wonderful benefits, such as an interest rate of 2.25% on my home !!!!! He moved mountains and got me a great deal on my home that included closing assistance. Because of Pinkesh expertise in NACA closings he was able to ensure that I moved in my home without any additional delays (delays do happen with NACA). I didn't lose my contract, didn't have to pay a fee for delays, or lose my earnest money down. I am forever grateful and consider myself fortunate to have had Pinkesh Gala as my agent! For anyone purchasing a home ESPECIALLY through NACA you NEED Pinkesh Gala he is an expert real estate agent ! -A Grateful Client

As a prospective renter, my experience was very poor. The man who showed me the apartment I was…read moreinterested in was very nice, but didn't know much about the property or me (he was waiting in a different unit than the one I wanted to see because he got mixed up). That would have been fine. But what really annoyed me was the application process. The management is not familiar with more modern ways to verify employment and income (such as third party service) and insisted on unredacted pay stubs - which is much less secure. The interaction as we went back and forth was rude and reminded me of scammers trying to get one to divulge information urgently (because so many people are interested in the apartment!) at the cost of better judgement. In trying to get more information from me they cited their "policies" but being unable to articulate why their policy insists on having the information I didn't want to share (like my pre-tax deductions) This conversation was not with some mid-level employee but what seemed to be the owner. I should hope he could articulate the reasoning behind his own policy! To me, this company clearly orients themselves to customer service of property owners, not renters. Which fair enough, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. To the reader/renter: Don't let these people bully you!

Prompt responses to emails, quick answers to phone calls, transparent updates throughout the process, and even reassurances to call you back if they are tied up at the moment (and they actually call back as soon as they can!) Since my roommates and I are all out of town at the moment, and unable to tour the property in person prior to signing the lease agreement, Hanna assured me that her assistant Johnny would send me a video tour the following day. And sure enough, the next day - Johnny had a detailed video tour of the home in my inbox. Any question I had about the property, Johnny was able to answer. We so look forward to working with Hanna and her team during the duration of our lease agreement. If the last week is any indication of how our experiences will be as Rent the District tenants, I very much look forward to staying at this property. Hanna and Johnny were both very friendly, and professional. I will recommend Rent the District to any of my friends who look to rent or have property management services in DC. Thank you again!

I'm not sure Victor ever really knew who we were and I can't be sure he ever visited the apartment before things really went to crap. He completely missed a major toilet leak--even after the tenant moved out--which left us with a cumulative $5,773.14 water bill. Then Scout didn't handle the tenant's voucher renewal properly, with no warning to us, which made the tenant move out early and cost us rental income. Even worse, we've now been stuck for several months without a tenant and have had to cover all the turnover costs ourselves. Despite that, Scout still charged their full management fees while barely responding to us. All of a sudden, Scout dropped us as clients (including our neighbors who were clients also), kept the fees, and stopped returning calls. Our next‑door neighbors had the same experience -- and told us their tenant was even offered an apartment at another property managed by Scout. Everything started fine but turned into one expensive, stressful mess. Don't hire Scout Properties unless you want poor communication, big bills, and months of lost rent.
