The teachers here are amazing! My middle schooler even had a teacher from his old public school, which was super helpful since he planed to go back to public high school later. This kept him on track (and even ahead) with what he needed to know. Something that I love is that the kids are outside ALL THE TIME! They have class outside, eat lunch outside, and do pretty much everything outside unless the weather is really bad. In summer, they sit under shady trees with nice breezes. In winter, they bundle up with jackets and blankets near space heaters. It reminds me of how European kids spend way more time outdoors instead of being stuck inside all day. My kids have learned tons and made great friends here. If you've read the book "Wild and Free," this school follows that idea perfectly. Kids learn, play, and grow at their own speed. Even if your kids go to regular school, Wild Roots has awesome summer camps that cost less than a babysitter! The kids learn cool stuff while having fun outside. I tell everyone looking for homeschool help around Folsom to check out Wild Roots. It's been such a great place for my family!

Arrived at My Gym Folsom for a child's birthday party over the weekend. Had never come before so…read moreuncertain of what to expect. Upon arrival, it was a nice welcome to see that for birthday parties, the entire location is secured just for that one party and not others like it can be with other venues. Everyone was welcomed and the staff were attentive to the children and parents. The location has seating as well near the entrance that is separate from the play area, so parents/grandparents are not in the way :) The location isn't "huge" but seemed to have plenty of structures for the kids to play on. My initial reaction was that there wasn't much especially considering that after a child uses say a trampoline, they may get bored shortly after. However, what I didn't see right away is they have a back room FILLED with different toys and activities. During the party, there was face painting, they played modern music and dance, they incorporated dodge ball between parents and children, there was a zip line, and frequent stops to bring up a new challenge or activity for the kids. There was even a moment where the lights went down, and a laser light show was on with some pop music. Overall, I can see why kids really enjoy this place and my daughter had a really great time being entertained by the staff. This is a great venue if you have smaller children and enjoy a location where you don't need to frequently monitor if your children haven't run away or get out of view, this is a solid option.

I will admit our first class I was still skeptical and a little upset thinking this isn't for her. Could have been because I signed her up for an age range that met her age (2 years) all the way up to 9 years, Mighty Mixers. Gymsters class might've been a more suitable one to start her off with first. It's been 2 months since we've been attending classes and my daughter absolutely LOVES coming here. It's great social interaction for my toddler and it's amazing to see how much more strength and skills she's obtained in a short amount of time. I appreciate the ability to easily switch up your class time, mark absent, and schedule make ups all online. The staff we've encountered so far are all fantastic! They really hone in to each child's personality and skills while still maintaining a way to be fun. And they're so approachable, especially to the shy kiddos. My daughter actually shouts "YAY" when I say we've arrived to My Gym. Talk about having an impact! Can't wait to see where we are with her skills in another few months.

Not…read moreto brag but he was their first student so I think that is a pretty good qualification in rating this place. Our experience with this program has been nothing but love. They genuinely care for the children, and create a safe place both physically and emotionally. There are so many activities offered throughout the day so the kids never get bored. My initial fear in putting my child into a new environment was quickly quieted once I met all the wonderful teachers. The actual space is beautiful as there are activities designated to different areas of the facility. These include: mud kitchen in the backyard, art on the main floor, dance studio upstairs, fire truck room, and plenty of comfy corners to read a book, just to name a few! If you're on the fence I recommend at least taking a tour of the preschool. You won't find a more inclusive and welcoming space elsewhere. My family has had a wonderful experience, and we look forward to many more memories to be had at ArtBeast.

Art Beast had just opened as a childcare center and we secured her a spot as fast as we could, scared that this magical place would never have an opening again. She was happy there within days because of the love and nurture that she received from the teachers. It brings me to tears knowing that we will have to leave this community. She has grown in so many ways thanks to the education and emotional support she's received from everyone here. They are so intentional in everything they do with the kids, and we will be forever grateful for that. She's entering the world with a solid foundation because of their incredible care.

What We Loved Immersive Play: The range of play structures is incredible. Our kids were obsessed with the recreations of famous children's books--walking through Mr. McGregor's Farm felt like stepping right into a storybook. Animals & Nature: Beyond the slides and climbing, the petting zoo and the peaceful Japanese pond (Urashima Taro) provided a great change of pace for the kids. Interactive Learning: The children's theatre is a gem. They have dedicated storytime and puppet shows that kept the toddlers completely engaged. Why It's a Must-Visit What makes this place even more amazing is that it's a non-profit. Knowing that your $10 admission (an absolute steal for the quality of the park!) goes back into maintaining such a creative space for the community makes the experience even better. It's right across from the Sacramento Zoo, so you can make a full day of it in Land Park if you have the energy! Perfect for ages 1-6, but even older kids will enjoy the nostalgia and creative structures.

Parking can get a bit difficult, since it's also close to the Zoo and Funderland. There are areas to slide, climb, and play. Also, there are animals (goats, rabbits, chickens/rooster, ox, mini horse, pigs) inside. The gift shop mostly contains generic items that don't say Fairytale Town, which don't make for the best of souvenirs. If you've never been here before, you can likely count on your kid enjoying at least a couple of hours here before getting bored. I'd say it's geared more for the younger children...older kids would probably benefit more from visiting the other two nearby attractions.
