The teachers are incredible -- caring, attentive, and truly invested in each child's growth. The curriculum strikes such a great balance between strong academics and creative, hands-on learning. My daughter has grown so much in both confidence and curiosity since starting here and even visits her favorite teacher Ms. Castro. The sports programs are another huge highlight! My daughter's first year in 6th grade went smoothly, with nice and helpful teachers. But as she transitioned into 7th grade it started to get horrendous. These teachers don't actually teach ANYTHING, all students are always on the Chromebooks and never get assigned any worksheets, or any real work, this specifically goes to all of the new teachers because all the old ones left. Lots of past teachers were leaving without anybody knowing why which made the learning for my daughter's second year drop. This school also does portfolio 6th-8th, but for my daughter's experience in 7th grade they had no portfolio help and the teachers were barely present. Beware, your children wont be learning in this school.

Their teachers are very communicative, informative and active through the school app. They respond quickly to any inquiries I may have as well. Ms. Keeler, the principal, is nice so far, as I've only met & interacted with her on a couple of occasions like the 1st PTA meeting of the year and when dropping/picking up the kids so I don't really have anything else to compare her to yet. What I love most about this school is the organization of the pick up/drop off zone in the school parking lot and how staff are very well aware of the students trying to walk off campus. Recently, my son reported repeated teasing from another student involving comments about him being autistic. He also shared that he informed staff previously and felt the issue was not addressed. After a separate recess incident involving another student and a basketball being thrown hard enough to hurt him, I felt it was important to advocate more strongly for his safety and emotional well-being. I understand no school is perfect and children can have conflicts anywhere, but as a parent, I did not feel confident that this environment was the best fit for my child's needs. My experience left me concerned about supervision, social-emotional support, and responsiveness to bullying concerns involving students with disabilities. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, supported, and protected at school. For families considering this school, especially families with children who have IEPs, autism, or sensory/social support needs, I strongly encourage asking detailed questions about how disability-related teasing, bullying concerns, and student support are handled on campus. Ultimately, I decided to pursue a different educational environment that I believe will provide more structure, support, and accountability for my son.
