Great place for toddlers! Total hidden gem in midtown of Sacramento. Looks small on the outside, but this place is pretty spacious with lots of hands on activities for the kids. ArtBeast is appropriate for toddlers, wouldn't recommend this place for older children. My son really enjoyed the lower floor where there were costumes for him to play in and a stage to pretend he was performing a magic show. Other activities included a rocket ship, boat, kitchenette and a piano! The upstairs floor had really cool art activities from paint, markers to dough! Best of all, you can bring your kid's artwork home with you after! There's a really cute fire truck with firefighter gears also. Staff here are very generous and super attentive to make sure the workstations are cleaned and stocked with the essentials. Pricing is $8 for admission. Children 1 and under are free.

ArtBeast Studio is so cute and fun. My son had a blast here and didn't want to leave. They have so many rooms filled with unique and fun activities for your child to stay busy with. Downstairs you will find a music, reading and costume room. The second floor all the arts and crafts (painting, clay, shapes, sand, etc). On the second floor there is a backward, in the backyard you will find water and sand activities . Upstairs there is a dance room, lego room and infant room (18 months and younger). Everything is so clean and no rowdy kids running around. Staff is super friendly and keeps maintenance up on all the rooms. It's super cheap $8/person but they offer membership here too and I will be looking into the membership program since my son loved it here!

I've been meaning to visit this summer with the kiddo but never made it. So on an extremely hot day we drove down to Sacramento and first off, so glad their AC was kickin. The kiddo is 5. He's not the most creative or imaginative little fella. He needs a little push to get there. I want him to explore that side of him more so this was a great place for that. He loved the indoor sand area. He played with the playdough and clay. We made paper crowns and wrote our letters with paint on the walls. He enjoyed the downstairs imagination area. I think he would have a better time if I bought a friend for him and they would be able to play for hours. In the end it was $16 for both. There's street parking available. The employees mainly stuck to themselves but were constantly cleaning up after children and did a great job making the place clean and welcoming. If I was in the area and the weather was bad, I'd come back.

I'm all about indoor place places that don't include a trampoline or jumpy houses!!! ArtBeast let's your children explore three levels of fun play places. I came in on a weekday afternoon around 3:30 and admission was $8 for all 3 of us (my two boys ages 6 &9). Prices: Eh. I've been to similar play places in Berkeley (Studio Grow) that were the same. I'll take it, if my kids were able to stay until closing time Open Play: The concept at ArtBeast is awesome. You and your child are free to explore, from musical instruments, a dramatic play stage and puppets downstairs, to the 2nd floor of art and crafts, clay, and paint, to a cozy room with more imagination! Nowa days our overscheduled and overstimulated children need to start using their imaginations. ArtBeast creates the space for you and your child to inspire open-ended thinking and encourage kids to see the fun alternatives then just the screen.

If you have kids under 10, you now have a magical little adventure land to spend your day at. I found out about ArtBeast while browsing online for kids activities in Sac. We have only been living here for a few months so we are still finding out about all these cool places. We have been to Sac Children's Museum a few times since it's close to home and after being to ArtBeast... I think we'll surely be here just as often, maybe more. I could rant and rave all day about the cool things they have but who has time to read that when you have kids?! Or type it for that matter. JUST GO AND ENJOY!!

Brought my nephew and niece to Art Beast. What a wonderful concept. For $8/person it was a deal! They can paint, craft, movement, music, outdoor discovery. They were immediately immersed themselves in painting and crafting. The staff was wonderful and before we knew it -- 2 hours had passed. Masterpieces in hand, we ventured out to see what midtown Sacramento had for us. I truly don't know why someone would give this place 3 stars. It's a creative mecca for the wee ones and supports worthy local causes.

I have two toddlers under 3 and this place keeps them entertained. Three levels of different activities. Pros - All the art supply your child could want. They ask that you clean up after yourself but when you have two toddlers running around sometimes it doesn't happen. They have a staff member floating around keep the place clean which is nice. I wish I had that at my house! Cons - no parking. You have to park in the one or two hour spots. It would be nice if they had a parking lot so you can stay longer. Considering it cost $8 for each kid or adult. Price - Expensive for a one time visit. Unless you get a groupon or get a yearly membership (and go at least once a week).

Admission costs are fair and for amazingly good causes. Fund the beast. Fund Tubman house. Leave knowing you are making the world a better place. Art Beast rules. End of story. Our boys are beasties with memberships and of all the places we are members in sac (which is basically everywhere) we find ourselves at artbeast 1-2x/week. Drumcircle is a solidly good time. My boys never last the whole time. And that's ok. Puppets downstairs win out. And clay. And the birdseed and funnels. Nothing negative to say at all. Always greeted warmly. Always helped immediately if we need assistance in anything. Couldn't be happier with the membership.

My daughter and I took my grandson today and we were very impressed. The staff was very helpful. There was tons of space there was lots to do with mind. We bought a month membership and will be going back next week. We didn't understand that there is two adults for your group so two kids two adults 1 kid two adults

We experienced a lot of turnover at a previous school while our son was on the LMP waitlist, but now we know exactly who will be there and that he'll be well cared for and loved each day. It's not uncommon during a weekend adventure for our son to ask to share something he's doing with a teacher. He looks at his teachers like family and is always excited to get back to school each Monday. The activities and curriculum are great as well. Weekly themes tie the art, science, and dramatic play together. The activities are creative and exciting for the kids, and he always comes home wanting to learn more. Covid has presented many childcare challenges, and LMP has navigated the pandemic incredibly well. They have been clear on protocols, communicated well, and we've always felt that our son will be as safe as he possibly could be at a preschool. We appreciate how seriously they have handled the health and safety of our child over the past 2 years. We can't recommend LMP enough and will miss it when he moves to Kindergarten this summer. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Haley and her wonderful staff!

As a self-proclaimed picky mom with high standards, I can honestly say this school has exceeded my expectations. When I drop my daughter off, it doesn't feel like I'm leaving her at a daycare--it feels more like she's spending the day at a loving grandma's house. The teachers are incredibly kind, diverse, and attentive. Every week they create enriching activities like gym, science, music, Spanish, art, and crafts. They celebrate holidays, embrace diversity and inclusion, and bring so much creativity into the classroom. The spacious backyard is another highlight--kids spend plenty of time outdoors, playing, exploring, and enjoying fresh air every day. What I love most is the sense of community--parents are engaged, educated, and involved in participation programs. We felt so supported that even though my daughter was accepted into two TK programs, we chose to keep her here for another year. If you're looking for a nurturing, joyful, and inspiring place for your little one, I can't recommend Discover Montessori enough!

The indoor classroom was also recently renovated and is bright and clean. DM requires 20 parent involvement program (PIP) hours per family each year. The PIP hours encourage community at DM and I've gotten to know other families at the school as a result. There are opportunities to earn PIP hours by serving on the board, cleaning the yard & school, baking, sewing, laundry, arts/crafts, or even showing up to events!

The community is unmatched- loving, thoughtful, supportive. A lot of family members don't understand the Waldorf method of teaching and make jokes, but my kids are both strong readers with curious minds about every subject. They offer Spanish, choir, strings, and band as part of their regular curriculum along with gardening, movement, etc. The students are taught in a way that offers a depth of understanding that other schools simply don't have the time to teach. Rather than doing a written project about catapults, for example, they actually build one. We love this school and community and are confident our kids will be very well prepared for what comes next.

(Mind you, she had only met him for a total of 3-4 hours and he's not on the spectrum, but even if he was she is not qualified to diagnose him). They did not give him snacks when he was hungry and when he was crying from missing his parents they left him outside with no supervision because he was "disturbing the class". A 3 YEAR OLD!!! Not to mention another kid threw a cement block and almost hit my son with it and the teachers didn't even clock it! I can't imagine how hurt kids can get with all the diy yard work. With one teacher and assistant (14:2) you would think they would be able to handle the children but they were overwhelmed and short with the kids who were behaving like typical preschool aged children. It's so sad these young kids are being talked down to in that way :( Letting the kids have accidents because the teachers can't handle taking them to the bathroom and then turning around and telling the parents accidents happen is so ridiculous! I can't speak for K-8 so maybe the teachers are better, but I would never trust M with a child let alone my own!! For how much the tuition is, go with a different preschool! I wouldn't wish our experience on anyone!
