They didn't give me back my money have 4 months. Bad dispatch and customer service. If I could, I'd give 0 stars.

They don't sell tickets here, nor do they sell tickets on board the boat - instead you'll have to download the NY Waterway mobile app to buy tickets. Alternatively, you might be able to buy a ticket at the Sheraton Hotel across the street, but that might be only for hotel guests. The ferry into NYC is super quick - about 6 mins during rush hour. However, the downside is that the connecting shuttle bus in NYC (included in the $9 price of the ferry ticket) does not leave right away, but rather waits at the NYC terminal for about 5-6 mins until the bus gets more full. Not a dealbreaker, but still a gripe. There are different routes for the shuttle - downtown / midtown / etc., so make sure to read the sign before boarding the bus. They are parked directly outside the terminal. From the Lincoln Harbor terminal to Flatiron district in NYC door to door is roughly 30 mins. (6 mins river crossing + 1 min walk to bus + 6 mins wait time at bus + bus travel through NYC traffic). Price per person is $9 one-way (cheaper if you buy monthly passes). For a cheaper (but more cumbersome) alternative route, consider walking to the Lincoln Harbor Light Rail stop (about a 4 min walk - near the Weehawken Whole Foods), then take the light rail to Hoboken terminal. Get off, walk to the PATH, and then take the PATH into NYC. This way will cost $5 per person each way (so about half what the ferry costs), but it involves significantly more walking and waiting (especially if you miss the light rail, which runs every 12-15 mins weekdays into Hoboken - and doesn't stop at Hoboken on the weekends).

However, there are many cons aside from the 7 minute ride. The ferry was in poor condition that I was on, it just appears dirty and dingy. Once I reached Midtown-- the boat returning to NJ looked a lot better, so maybe it's hot or miss. The ferry driver/ticket man didn't seem to have many social skills, and just wasn't friendly in the least. This was our first time riding and since they don't sell tickets onboard, we had issues with the app to purchase the tickets. He seemed flustered about that after we told him the app gave us all an issue. He then proceeded to stare at his watch while we were talking-- I understand you have a schedule to keep, but be a decent human being. All and all, it's a rapid way to travel, it's probably too expensive for such a short ride, the boat seems raggedy--- but again, it's an extremely quick way to travel that surely beats the NJ Transit bus.

The guy checking the tix insisted on not letting me in bc I bought ticket departing from Hoboken south instead of north. I mean it is the same price for Hoboken South and North, both are $7 (which is a ridiculous price by the way) and what can you lose to let me in? I'm not paying less anyways (or does the Hoboken south ticket revenue not contribute to your salary?) End of the story: since I already activated the tix, I have no choice but walking all the way back to the "correct" station: Hoboken south (which is a long walk and is ironically exactly why I want to take the water taxi at Hoboken "North"), and guess what, the ticket has already expired aka they wasted 7 dollars of me.

After some recent construction, it's a lot brighter down there, though it does smell pretty eggy at times... I do appreciate that it's tap to pay so I don't have to fumble for a metro card anymore.

It's such a convenient way to travel back and forth from NYC to NJ. It's easy to navigate (even for those who are new to public transportation) and budget-friendly. It also connects you to Jersey City and Newark Penn Station. If you're driving to the terminal, parking can be a bit of a hassle. You can be lucky enough to find street parking, but be aware of the meters and the residential-only permits. The other option is to park in one of the garages nearby. You can purchase a ticket or MetroCard at any of the self-service vending machines near the entrance. A one-way adult ticket is $3. They accept bills and credit cards. They even have a Tap-And-Go fare payment system at the turnstiles, which is quick and convenient! Once you get through the gates, you'll see signage to guide you to the proper tracks. The PATH operates 24/7, but you have to be mindful of the schedules. The lines operate differently on the weekdays and weekends. In addition, some lines do not operate after 11pm on weekdays. I suggest downloading the PATH app. You can get familiar with the schedules, receive alerts, and get real-time train information. Currently, there are two lines that will get you directly from Hoboken to Manhattan. One line runs through Newport, Exchange Place, and the World Trade Center and another line runs through Christopher St, 9th St, 14th St, 23rd St, and 33rd St. Depending on the day and time, you might have to get off at other stops and then hop on a different connecting line to get to your destination. It all makes sense after you get the hang of it. The trains are typically clean and arrive/leave on time. It's about a 10-15 minute ride into the city. Of course the trains can get crowded (we all know how congested NYC and North Jersey are...). But for a $3 ride into NYC, I'll hold my breath and prepare to get packed like a sardine in a can.

He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.
