I've seen stores that claim to sell real wood, but what they mean is that they sell real wood veneers. But Scott Furniture is the real deal. Scott Furniture offers free delivery. That alone is awesome beyond words. If the items in their showroom don't tickle your fancy, you can flip through their cataloge and order whatever you see. Before you head off into the store, you can browse their website. I find it to be easy to navigate and is kept up to date. The owner is really nice. He lets you know that he's there to help without hovering all over you. Absolutely no pressure. The little touches matter. The decor is hilarious! Spilt acrylic food sits atop beautiful wooden pieces. Freaky life-size dummies rest on plush couches. It's crazy! I love it! The artificial desserts look so delicious. Overall the atmosphere is very sophisticated, yet comfortable at the same time. But that scary dummy catching me everytime! I hope it never goes away.

I thought the prices were similar to what you'd see on retail and haven't necessarily found an item that I thought was a must-have. Looking for some couches, they had some inventory on hand of sectionals, leather sofas and more. The business owner also offers to order some from a catalog on hand and gives you personal service in helping out. I thought it was worth a look to see if they may have any items, although at the moment I haven't found anything to fit my needs.

It's been about a month and a half since it's passed, so here's my honest take of the restaurant part of this store. We visited Niagara Falls for three days and as was the highlight of our 2.5 week vacation in eastern Canada. My family and I normally eat at a Filipino food place at least once to vibe how the Filipino food and community is at an area. Lo and behold, J&B Filipino/Asian Store was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel, which is a 20 minute walk from the actual falls, or a 5 minute drive. Nice! The first time we went there, we checked out the grocery store section part of the store, but we didn't really need any Filipino snacks since we are already familiar with it and have them at home in Hawai'i. The next day, we tried to eat at the restaurant, but we were abruptly told that the restaurant was closed. The man wasn't the smiley, friendly type and wasn't Filipino himself, so we felt a bit bad, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because everyone has bad days. The very next day, the restaurant was actually open this time, so we went to try it out. We were actually given menus at our seat, but told us to order up at the cashier (which is weird, pick either service or turo-turo style lol). It was a relatively long wait, about 20-25 minutes, but good food takes a while to make. I wish I could say it was good, but it wasn't that. First of all, what kind of Bicol Express has no gata and all bagoong? I was fully expecting Bicol Express, even confirmed it twice upon ordering and receiving, but was vastly disappointed at what I ate, which is far too salty for my taste. I left unsatisfied with my meal. I didn't want to ruin the vibe with my family, so I didn't mention anything until my mom mentioned that her bangus (milkfish) was stale. I tasted it myself, it was! No wonder my sister's husband from Canada who grew up in Ontario hated fish. Fish from Ontario, Canada is tasteless/stale due to being imported (unlike fresh in Hawai'ior the Philippines)!!! Next, my normally quiet brother is usually content with everything, but his sisig was tasteless! Is there even a Filipino working in the back, or is the Filipino food in Canada not tasty at all (not the case since we had better Filipino food in Montreal in future days)? Finally, the vibe of the sole employee at the time speaks of no customer service or Pinoy (or even Canadian) hospitality at all. He was quite blunt, but it could be his personality. He also blasted Cuban music in the store, which I'm not against, but the environment didn't feel authentically Filipino to me and felt disingenuine. No wonder this place wasn't visited at all, which is a disappointment since this place has good reviews from a year ago. It's possible that the owners have changed and the quality went downhill. I don't think I'll ever recommend this restaurant to anyone I know, and we've learned to avoid this place the next time we visit Niagara Falls. Two stars is still a bit generous and I don't want to badmouth a restaurant completely over one visit, but it's my lowest rating out of any establishment at the time of this post.

The Brick offers a variety of beautiful furniture and furniture sets to choose from. One of the couches in here was oversized and had huge soft fluffy pillows, perfect for relaxing with the family and large dog i.e., Grate Dane or Rottweiler. They were also selling this sweet karaoke kit with built-in turntables which looked pretty cool. The staff were really friendly and we shared some nice conversation while we were there. If we lived in the area we would definitely return to pick out some furniture.
