Wanted to try this place for a while now and got to stop in for lunch today. Small family owned business that is rooted in Cuban and Argentinian cuisine. Owners are incredibly nice and take pride in what they do. Decor takes you back to Cuba and personally reminds me of the time I spent in country. I got the breaded chicken sandwich based on previous reviews and I have to agree, it's great! Massive breaded chicken cutlets on fresh bread. It was delicious and filling. I definitely want to come back and try a daily special as they also sound really good.

This is a small little cafe in a plaza. There's less than 10 tables but it looks like a popular place for take out. I liked my order of breaded chicken sandwich with fries and a cafe con leche but I saw husband's Cuban and appetizer of yuca and plantains it made the rating lower. I would stay away from those items because they're not as good as the humongous (but flattened) breaded chicken sandwich.

Authentic Cuban flavors! I am Cuban and recently moved to the area. I have been living in NM, where there is primarily Mexican food, and I have been craving Cuban food for a long time. This was the first restaurant I visited after arriving, which made my day! This food is fully authentic Cuban, not Columbian stuff! The service was terrific, and the ambiance had a very hole-in-the-wall vibe. Highly recommend!

Amazing food and amazing owners! The Milanesa, and the ropa vieja are my favorite with some maduros and tostones.

Loved the food especially the baked empanadas. We ordered four different types, and the Bianca was…read morethe clear winner for us. We also had the milanesa a caballo with eggs on top; the only recommendation would be to ask how you'd like your eggs cooked. The service was great very attentive and fast. The staff even treated us to a delicious tapa: bread topped with chimichurri and chorizo, which was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place for both lunch and dinner.

Inside, there is also plenty of seating. We were told to go ahead and pick a table since there wasn't many people in the restaurant. We decided to order via QR code but the server also came by in case we had questions or in case we wanted her to take the order for us. We went with the Parrilladas medium to share and their three empanada combo (ham and cheese, pizza, and chicken and cheese flavor). We were served with complimentary bread and some chimichurri while waiting. The food did not take long to arrive. I did not have the empanadas personally as I had a craving for their grilled meat but from the looks of it, the empanadas were filled well and tasted delicious! Now for the grilled meats, depending on what size you get, you will get more or less of certain cuts. We got our medium rare and came out perfectly. The meats were juicy, only complaint is that the flap meat was a little tough to cut and chew. The Rusa salad was very yummy complementing side to the meats, not too heavy but had great flavor!

Cocktail Dirty Martini #1 fabulous. #2 Meh.... Glass of Wine Yum! And Espresso Martini (no disrespect) I have had better. Flan for dessert was absolutely amazing. I arrived 5:30pm to a reserved seat for someone at 7pm. Was told I would have to move when they arrive. I agreed with no issue. I left at 7:35pm; no one showed up! Why for my stars! I felt neglected at some points. They were talking to other guests that I assume come often. They other guests leave and the door was opened by the bar staff to thank them. I leave and no one opened the door for me. I am pretty sure I spent more money than they did. Hence, my 2 hour 5 min meal. Please know; I grabbed my ear pods and entertained myself. So I was content. We arrived on time and were seated. Shortly after, another party of five who were white arrived and were warmly welcomed, thanked for making a reservation, and offered complimentary appetizers. We were not acknowledged in the same way and were not offered anything. The difference in treatment was noticeable and uncomfortable. My money is green and my family deserves the same level of service and respect as any other guest regardless of the color of our skin. Because of this experience, we chose to leave. This was not how we expected to celebrate an important moment and it was deeply disappointing.

We decided to try something different since we were in Tampa and made reservations for 8:15 PM…read more When we arrived, the entrance was packed and there was no host or hostess in sight. Several couples were waiting. While standing there, we heard a woman tell another patron she did not have a reservation, yet when the manager came out to seat guests, he seated a large group and then that party of three before the rest of us who had reservations. Shortly after, he loudly announced, "Reservations first," which was confusing considering what we all had just witnessed. When we were finally seated, we were initially placed at the worst table in the room by the kitchen and bathroom but were accommodated after requesting a move. We then waited 10-15 minutes before the manager instructed Daniel to take care of us. Daniel ended up being the highlight of the evening--professional, apologetic, and attentive despite circumstances clearly outside of his control. We ordered empanadas, only to find out the flavors we wanted were sold out. Daniel brought cheesesteak, four-cheese, and shredded beef instead. The cheesesteak had decent flavor but was dry. Overall, the empanadas were very doughy and the meat lacked moisture. We then ordered the All Beef Parrillada. When it arrived, my wife checked the temperature and tasted a small piece. Immediately after, a server returned and said the dish wasn't ours and took it back. We watched her walk into the kitchen and then bring the same tray out to another table seated two tables away--who had been seated after us. That was extremely concerning. To make matters worse, we were then informed that mashed potatoes were no longer available and needed to select another side--yet the table that received the dish we had touched was served mashed potatoes. We ended up with extra rice and spinach. The spinach was oily with no noticeable garlic, salt, or seasoning. The rice was plain white rice with peas and carrots and little flavor. The steak itself, however, was well-seasoned and prepared nicely. During our visit, we also noticed another Black couple seated next us who waited at least 30 minutes without being greeted or even served water. They eventually left. Shortly after, the table was seated with white males who were greeted and attended to within 10 minutes. That observation was very difficult to ignore after talking to them. Daniel did not charge us for the empanadas, spinach, or the sangria (which he made promptly so we wouldn't experience another long wait). The sangria was very good. His professionalism and sincere attitude were the only things that salvaged the evening. Overall, the service inconsistencies, food execution, and handling of dishes--especially serving a plate that had already been touched--were disappointing and extremely concerning. We came for a different experience, but unfortunately left questioning whether we would return. 2 stars for steak taste and season and Daniel's effort.
