A letter I wrote Janet, that I also want to share with the public: Thank you, so much, for all that you do. A couple of months ago, I wanted to send flowers to my girlfriend, who lives and works in Middletown. I live in Ohio, however, and didn't want to deal with the packaged and shipped flowers that you can find online. I started searching for a local florist that could actually hand deliver a bouquet of flowers, and I found your shop. I was impressed with the selection, found what I wanted, and waited. I was a little skeptical since I couldn't physically see or touch what I was actually sending aside from the images on the website. However, she absolutely LOVED them. When I saw a photo, I must say I was just as amazed as she was. You guys went well above and beyond the call of duty. I have never been more impressed with the quality of anything that I've purchased before. Today, I decided to send another bouquet, just because. Once again, I found the perfect flowers and sent them off. And once again, she loved them. When I got a photo, I was definitely impressed. The pictures on the website don't do justice to the amazing work that you actually do with your flowers. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much. It's great knowing that I can depend on Absolutely Flowers to make her feel special or brighten her day and as long as she's living there, I promise I'll be back time and again when the occasion arises. You guys are truly the best and I really couldn't go without letting you know how impressed and appreciative I am of your service. Thanks!!! read more

I placed an order for my friend's Birthday and it was delivered the same day. Janet and her staff help you choose just what you need and the quality of their flowers is also superb. I highly recommend them. I am from the Middletown, NY area so I had used them in the past. But I now live quite far away. A few times since I moved away I ordered from online businesses, never thinking I could just call the store. My mistake. From now on I will call and order from Absolutely Flowers directly. read more

I ordered a corsage here for prom, WEEKS in advance and when I received it on the day of it was not only wilted but the white rose had brown spots all over the outside pedals. ON THE DAY OF not only was the women at the counter beyond rude, I had to last minute find a new corsage because they told me they had none left because it was the day of prom. If i order something weeks in advanced it should be perfect! I was disgusted and swore to never go back. When i went back recently (my prom being over 5 years ago) I had a situation with a very rude employee and decided not to even order anything from them. I will never forget this and NEVER go back or recommend them to anyone, awful for them considering I am in the wedding industry now. I also think its beyond tasteless that someone who works there is giving the place 5 starts and arguing with someone else's review. There is a great flower place near OCCC Its kind of hard to find but worth it so you don't have to work with these shady crooks!!!! read more

Spoke to a lovely gal on the phone who helped me choose a last minute Valentine gift to send to my mom's assisted living facility in MIddletown. The flowers and stuffed animal arrived within a few hours and were perfect! Thank you for the excellent customer service. I will be back! read more

Despite having a negative experience with this flower shop in the past, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and use them again for a Mother's Day arrangement. I ordered the deluxe version and paid a whopping $85 for what I thought was going to be a large, full, colorful arrangement. What arrived for my grandmother was a smaller arrangement with half the flowers missing, an abundance of substituted what appears to be lilies (which was not a major component of the original arrangement but now suddenly was) as well as several drooping daisies. I understand that flower shops can't reproduce the exact image pictured online and I also understand that COVID affected the flower supply but at least let the buyer know that what they thought was going to arrive has to be severely changed in order to fulfill the order. I'm incredibly disappointed. Not to mention when I called the lady was quick to rush me off the phone rather than listen to me, stated they had to make a lot of substitutions because of the virus to the point where they had to make some sort of adjustments to what was displayed on the website and to pacify me she said another bouquet will be sent as a replacement. This is now the third unhappy story I personally know of concerning this florist and I will never use them again. read more

Flowers were not delivered. Money was refunded when I notified them of their mistake.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The flowers looked beautiful. The arrangement was not inexpensive, but I was very satisfied with the quality. I will be a repeat customer. read more

Janet, is the definition of "professionalism, and excellent customer service" her and her staff are the most pleasant, and most professional around. they do personal orders very well and i would say this place is hands down the best florist in the hudson valley. Its a "bit" pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for and its worth every penny. they have the best quality flowers for your special someone and a guaranteed delivery. don't go anywhere else, because janet is the best around. read more

Spoke to a lovely woman named Tiphanny, who was kind and helpful in taking my order. The flowers were delivered to the hospital within hours of my call. They were absolutely beautiful! I requested certain colors - that was the only guidance I gave - but they turned out just as I had hoped. Highly recommend! read more

Although, they were very nice on the phone, I had picked out a particular arrangement from their web site and called directly by phone. They did say they would have to substitute 1 flower in the flower-plant arrangement but that was all that was mentioned. When a picture was sent to me of the arrangement, it was nothing at all like the picture. I called the next day and again the manager was very nice andI told him it was not at all like the picture and he said they would exchange the basket and send out a new one. It is still not like the one pictured on their website, but I am dropping the issue. It was for my daughter's family who had lost a baby and I wanted it just as pictured. If that was not at all possible, I should have been told that when ordering or the picture should be taken off their web site read more

Absolutely beautiful flower arrangements for my sister's funeral service. Thank you so much!

I ordered some green Orchids for my girlfriend to be delivered on Valentine's day about a week before. I ordered online. Orchids were delivered, but not anything at all like what the picture represents. They delivered one or two pink orchids when I ordered about six or more green orchids (according to the picture). I was also charged the full price ($111 or so) and never received a call or email with an option to change the order. To add insult to injury, I found the same exact thing at Home Depot for $19.99. Even the pot was identical. I stopped by and brought my order info, print outs of what was ordered vs what was delivered and was given the excuse that when you order online it doesn't always look like what they actually deliver. I asked, "How is what I ordered anything like what was delivered?" I was surprised I even had to ask her that. She claimed she needed to speak to the owners and I left the printouts with her for them to call me back the following day. I never heard back. I will never, ever do business with this company again. I used to buy flowers from them all the time, they have seriously fallen from the quality they once had. read more
