In my head, I had ideas of dark red and romantic instagram flowers, but, with my wedding being in late June, Debbie delicately helped me to pivot to a much more seasonally appropriate and beautiful color scheme that still incorporated the same elements. She constructed the BEST chuppah adornments and made the most BEAUTIFUL and intricate bouquet I have ever seen! Her guidance and keen eye was so helpful, and she created the most perfect florals. I knew when I saw Debbie and Ivy's work that I absolutely had to have them (Flowers by Jo-Ann) for my wedding. I know if I'm admiring more traditional pinks and whites (not my thing) that if they could work with darker colors, it would be sublime. I can't go on enough. I really can't. Debbie is a dream to work with. We started with an hour long appointment going over every single thing that I needed or never knew I needed but really wanted. Debbie is very conscious of budget and I'm terrible because I didn't have a budget in mind at ALL, but knew I couldn't have every single thing I wanted (and what I wanted was every inch of the venue covered in arrangements by Flowers by Jo-Ann!!!) She will go over your vision with you (mine-- dark glamour, fall colors, Halloween but nothing too obvious) and create a Pinterest board. Then you'll have a phone call about a month out and discuss more. The result was PERFECTION. Seriously. I cannot cannot cannot stop gushing. Originally I thought I'd save some money and get creative with the table centerpieces myself. About 6 weeks out, I knew that wasn't going to happen, so I was able to discuss some affordable but still beautiful options with Debbie (candles, with flowers and greens). When I walked into the venue last week and saw how they transformed the place into a dark candle and floral paradise, I about lost my mind with happiness. It could not get any better than this Besides the large arrangements and centerpieces, my bouquet and the wedding party bouquets were so gorgeous, we couldn't stop holding them. There were artichokes, dark roses, pops of orange roses, dark purple mums, black calla lilies on mine, and other flowers that I can't quite identify. So beyond gorgeous. I wish these flowers would last forever. I brought everything home and I can't stop admiring them. It's kind of ridiculous. Her proposed solution was to "have someone pick up the arrangement for a full refund or pick up the arrangement and add more flowers to it" I said it would be embarrassing and awkward to retrieve flowers from someone who is in recovery... (from my aunt's perspective, her niece made a thoughtful gesture -- to have someone show up and take the flowers back or add some flowers only makes what was originally perceived as a nice gesture, awkward -- which an unnecessary thing to put my sick aunt through). Kim responded that SHE wouldn't be embarrassed (right, because it was ALL about her) and called me "too uptight". Anyhow, she continued to talk over me, refusing to let me get a word in edgewise... and then she hung up on me. Makes me super sad because I was being soooo nice and careful with what I was saying.
