I knew when I saw Debbie and Ivy's work that I absolutely had to have them (Flowers by Jo-Ann) for my wedding. I know if I'm admiring more traditional pinks and whites (not my thing) that if they could work with darker colors, it would be sublime. I can't go on enough. I really can't. Debbie is a dream to work with. We started with an hour long appointment going over every single thing that I needed or never knew I needed but really wanted. Debbie is very conscious of budget and I'm terrible because I didn't have a budget in mind at ALL, but knew I couldn't have every single thing I wanted (and what I wanted was every inch of the venue covered in arrangements by Flowers by Jo-Ann!!!) She will go over your vision with you (mine-- dark glamour, fall colors, Halloween but nothing too obvious) and create a Pinterest board. Then you'll have a phone call about a month out and discuss more. The result was PERFECTION. Seriously. I cannot cannot cannot stop gushing. Originally I thought I'd save some money and get creative with the table centerpieces myself. About 6 weeks out, I knew that wasn't going to happen, so I was able to discuss some affordable but still beautiful options with Debbie (candles, with flowers and greens). When I walked into the venue last week and saw how they transformed the place into a dark candle and floral paradise, I about lost my mind with happiness. It could not get any better than this Besides the large arrangements and centerpieces, my bouquet and the wedding party bouquets were so gorgeous, we couldn't stop holding them. There were artichokes, dark roses, pops of orange roses, dark purple mums, black calla lilies on mine, and other flowers that I can't quite identify. So beyond gorgeous. I wish these flowers would last forever. I brought everything home and I can't stop admiring them. It's kind of ridiculous. My friend got a lovely dried flower bouquet delivered to her job in the Bronx on her birthday. And I got to support a local business here in BK! Jenny and team were quick to answer my questions and super-friendly throughout the process. Note: In the past I've had a hard time getting Brooklyn-based businesses to deliver to the Bronx (I completely understand, it is FAR). So was pleasantly surprised that for an additional fee, Fieldtrip was able to make the Bronx delivery happen.

Found this Alpaca farm while searching for one nearby. I contacted the owner who told me you need…read morean appointment in order to come by. We met with her husband who was such a delight. He was very informative and kind to the animals. You could tell he cares about the animals here. Besides cute fluffy Alpacas, they have beautiful ducks and roosters. The land is very spacious and well cared for. I was interested in possibly looking to buy some item's made with the Alpaca wool, but he mentioned he had to cut our appointment short. I believe you could buy online. Either way, it was a nice visit and loved touching the animals. My brother wants to come next time so I'll be arranging another visit soon.

I'm glad I did. The arrangement I was looking for was very basic, but still needed to be put together. When I called, the lady said they could make it. I was passing through Montgomery while leaving town and she originally said she needed 45 minutes. Rather than delaying my trip longer, I originally decided to disregard. She thought about it and said she'd have it done in 20 minutes. I stopped at the shop at the agreed upon time and staff were just finishing the arrangement. I could tell they were hustling and working hard to get it done for me. The arrangement looked fantastic. They were very high quality and put together professionally. The price was very fair, especially considering they rushed to get it done. The staff here really impressed me. The shop is located at the end of Route 211 just in from 17K. Parking on the street is difficult to find, but they have parking around the rear of the building.
