They were to play during guest seating and the ceremony. Due to the rain that started at 5:30, they wouldn't play. Although, they were completely covered (which was stated as a need during rain). The wedding planner asked them to play although the guests weren't being seated (standing around due to delaying the ceremony). Once they agreed to play, it took another 15 minutes. We were also told it would be an additional $50 for every 15 extra minutes they were needed (I did know this was in the contract but it says nothing about inclement weather). In order to give my daughter what she dreamed I agreed to do that if needed. The musicians never said they were sorry for the problems. Also, we haven't been offered a refund for the time they did not play. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Palmetto Strings also assists with Ceremony Audio which is often forgotten by many hosting an event. DJ level speakers are available for dinner music based on the client's playlist. Two completely different menus were both delicious; and cooked to perfection with wonderfully complex flavors complementing but not overwhelming the high quality, fresh ingredients. As if that wasn't enough, Jessica is not only a talented cook, but also totally organized, making the preparation, delivery, and clean up look effortless. Highly recommended!! This was going to be my special gift to my best friend because she loves yoga and cooking. It was perfect. I made tank tops for all the bachelorettes to wear during yoga with cute yoga sayings on them. I went out of my way to get tables for the cooking class and everything. Two days before the event JLoKitchens confirmed that we would start at 930AM and then out of no where she cancelled the entire thing on me - yes, two days before the event. She stated she had been sick since Sunday but yet, didn't tell me then and therefore left me with no time to make plans. This was going to be the highlight of our weekend - she ruined it. She had told me that she was cooking, but a woman Tarah would be the yoga instructor. I said, I expect Tarah will still be there and that she can bring the food with her (and we'll just have to cook for ourselves). She wouldn't explain to me why Tarah was also suddenly available. As a professional, responsible business owner she should have had a back-up plan in place especially if she wasn't feeling well earlier in the week. Also, she never explained what happened to Tarah which leads me to believe she just dropped the ball and didn't book this despite us having been in communication for several months. She said sorry and refunded my deposit promptly but didn't fix the mess she created. It's not even about the money - I'm heartbroken that I won't be able to give my best friend this special gift and that we have such a bad experience associated with this weekend. If you're going to work with JLoKitchens you better have a back up plan.

The venue is a farm, so someone going for a strong rustic/barn theme will appreciate the red barn, cowboy boot flower pots, and wagon. The layout inside is spectacular with a kitchen and a circle guests can walk around for food instead of clogging the sitting area. Bridal suite and groom suite are in the barn, which I wasn't a huge fan of since anyone could just walk in during events taking place in the barn (say a reception). Additionally, furniture in the suites was very outdated. There is a spacious loft area. Some tables and chairs are currently available (not enough for more than ~50 people), but we were told that prices would probably increase soon and more chairs and tables (enough for groups up to ~150) would be included. The grounds were gorgeous, but it is a farm, so the smell of horses shouldn't be a surprise. If you are looking at MW for an outdoor wedding ceremony, there are several places on the grounds that are perfect for it and a covered pavilian as a plan b for rain.

It was something out of a fairy tale. I hadn't even seen the house yet and I knew this was the place. The Avenue of Oaks was just a bonus. I now had my ceremony location and reception. The rooms are perfectly set so the grooms have there own personal entrance so not to run into the bride. Absolutely amazing!
