I arrived about 45 minutes after the set arrival time and there was a nice crowd. Loved to see the support from my neighbors! I was able to checkout the menu before heading down and had set my sights on their new Mexican Mac & Shrimp Bowl. This bowl was listed with the following -- mac & cheese, Cajun butter poached shrimp, queso, peppers and onions, black bean corn salsa, citrus crema, salsa sauce, jalapeños, and tortilla strips and cilantro. All things I love! Once I got to the window and placed my order I only had a short wait to receive my food. The guy at the window was super friendly! I brought the goods home and knew I was going to have leftovers for days. (Which I'm still enjoying!!!). As you can tell from the list of ingredients above I found the bowl offered a lot of fun combinations making for a great eating experience. The 2 things that would have elevated the bowl for me would have been salt and spice! I understand that serving a large range of clientele from a food truck would force seasoning to be on a lighter handed side versus a heavy handed side. But the reality is that I got to bring my bowl home and adjust the seasoning and spice level myself. :-) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the FU truck again.

Frank and I are grateful to have had Chef Chris cater our wedding reception in September of 2018…read more Since we live in Virginia and were unable to fly down to Charleston for tastings, we reached out to Chef Chris based on his online reviews. Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception. Serving large groups is always a challenge, but Chef Chris made it seamless and so flavorful! Frank and I strongly recommend booking Chef Chris! He is wonderful to work with and delivers amazing food and service. Good luck!

Thereafter, she would not leave the couple alone. She monopolized their time apologizing for her behavior, including standing between them when they finally had an opportunity to sit and eat. Multiple family members tried to intervene about her very strange behavior, but she continued to make their special day about herself. Note, my concerns aren't about the chaotic wedding. We know things can happen. It's how she handled it that was unacceptable.

They are prompt, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. The Arch wedding venue is breathtaking. I got married on 10/16/2021 and keep hearing wonderful reviews from guest about how amazing the wedding was. Everyone has said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Mary and the A Team made it so much easier with their guidance, organizational tools, suggestions, responsiveness and positive attitude. Once I arrived the day of our wedding, I was able to just relax and enjoy the experience as Mary and the A team ensured everything went smoothly. I would recommend the Arch to any bride and groom, or anyone searching for a venue for a special event.

Chef Chuck has some big names on his resume but the real seller is when you try his food. You've been warned, you'll crave it. The concept, home cooked meals that you grab and go. The chicken salad is unlike any chicken salad I've ever had before. If I was a chef, maybe I could explain it better but this is not remotely close to what you get in the grocery store where someone plopped a can of chicken, mayo and pickles together. This has levels of flavors and I'm not even sure how to describe it.

Every quarter, our Scout Troop does a Court of Honor where we recognize the accomplishments of the girls from the last few months. Each Court of Honor is set up for a pot-luck dinner where each family brings in something to share. I thought about making mac n cheese myself, which I'm highly capable of doing, but thought, why not support a small business who I know can make some kick-ass mac for the girls. Pickup was easily scheduled and completed. I arrived at the event with a huge tray of gourmet mac n cheese, and I think maybe I brought enough back home for me to have as a side for my next meal. Total winner with the families involved in our event. Excellent flavors and texture in each bite. Would recommend The Good Cooker for meals at home or for catering any event in the future.
