Not So Epic.
Im writing this to share the experiences we have had booking a DJ for the wedding a couple months ago. Im the sister of the bride and and was with her during this from start to finish. I actually found this company for her. She was worried about writing a review because she owns a small business, and didn't want retaliation.
My review is similar to others I have read after the fact, but this is what we dealt with.
EPIC Charleston was on all of wedding websites during our search. After inquiring with them the bride received ALOT of emails,
follow ups, and a very aggressive emailing/follow up campaign. Everyone thought they were just through (not the case) and we decided to
book. They asked for 100% of her money up front which was strange. The pricing was by far the highest they were quoted and we
thought thats because they were going to really make the evening special.
After the contract was signed and the FULL amount paid, no one heard from them for months and months. Everyone
called, emailed, and never got a response. I was so upset because I found these people and wasn't even sure if anyone was going to show
up and we started to panic. We started looking at other DJ companies just in case we never heard from EPIC. Less than 2 weeks before the wedding, they finally responded to one of our emails as if it was no big
deal and nothing was wrong. They were short and arrogant but at this point we had no choice but to just go through with it. They also changed the DJ again, noone knew if anyone would really come and who actually was the DJ.
As far as the DJing goes, it was mediocre, at best, and NOT worth twice the amount other companies were charging. Watching everyone panic and suffer because of this was a nightmare. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND THE STRESS!! There are other companies that were much more affordable, probably a lot better, and might actually respond to you. Noone should ever have to go through this! read more
